New Cache of Lambs
New Cache of Lambs
By Arley Steinhour 062817
Today, I’m feeling kind of Grand.
Enjoying the Fruits of Harvest,
A sandwich of ‘making’s on hand,’
From Cornucopian Horn, near empty.
‘No Matter,’ says I, ‘I’m much too heavy,’
For this Age, and Size, that I be,
But, in a flood, I’d be a ‘sizable Levee,’
My arms, legs, and body, like Balsa Tree.
I started my day with joyous Revival,
A Song on my lips, with Prayer in my heart,
Wondering about Mankind’s Survival,
Ready to Witness to all, ‘a la carte.’
A large cup of coffee, to lift the eyelid,
Pills, by the fist-full, to keep me Breathing,
Wondering where my day-plans were Hid,
Somewhere in Memory, not worth Stealing.
Emails came in, as I sipped my drink,
Some excited my thoughts, to the brim,
My plans for today, are 'under the sink,'
As I 'follow the Spirit,' or 'personal whim.'
Once this is finished, I’ll do ‘Memories,’
That Facebook gives me each day,
Echoing my Praise, and Poetic Stories,
Witnessing Jesus, Fishing for Prey.
For Unsaved Souls, that are Ready for Net,
I'll cast from 'Right Side of Life’s Boat,'
Helping fill the net, for Jesus to Vet,
New Cache of Lambs, for ‘Mansion-Cote.’
AMEN
