Eternal Salvation
Eternal Salvation
By Arley Steinhour 070913
I am a Bride, eyes open wide,
I know exactly where I'm going,
Death and Grave, can step aside,
As, Jesus' blessings are over flowing.
To pain, I awaken, within my body,
That quickly subsides to Joy,
"Good Morning, Father God," the toddy,
To make me a Happy, 'Growing Boy.'
Not 'growing' in the normal sense,
But, heart and brain, your Love-Instilling,
So, my Growth continues, ever since,
In every Nook or Cranny worth filling.
I cannot Praise you well enough,
To make my words worth accepting,
Holy Spirit makes my uttered 'stuff,'
Worthy of Thanks for my Wedding Ring.
My thanks, to You, a pile of rags,
accentuated by mumbles I'm sharing,
You and He form my worthless shags,
Into Kingly cloth, worthy of wearing.
Your Blessings for my Eternity,
You package with my paper and straw,
That I may present, works of mortality,
As, from the ashes, Rewards you draw.
Some receive, great Gain-Reward,
Some, sadly, little more than Loss,
But the basest Reward, is Gemstone Hard,
Eternal Salvation, by Jesus, at the Cross.
AMEN
