Concerned about NOTHING
Concerned about NOTHING
By Arley Steinhour 041013
At breakfast, I put Creamer in cup,
A touch of Sugar, went in, too,
Before I started, this day to sup,
That's truth, from me to you.
You may ask, why I address,
This simple fact, in my Life,
'There are those, who would suppress,
My decisions, by causing strife.'
These people, we somehow elected,
Set Constitution aside, ignoring,
'Freedoms,' now being 'Infected,'
Even pass a law against snoring.
Amendments, one, two, three, and more,
Rights sacrosanct, as were written,
They illegally usher to trash-can door,
Like, by a Rabid dog, they're bitten.
They rant, they rave, they blather,
When they can't change our lives today,
With no true credentials, slather,
Without fail, seems to be their way.
The people of this country, Free,
Legal Protectors, of Family, and Home,
Have little time, for problem, to see,
Before life behind bars, and Dome.
This ditty, my opinion be,
You have the right to disagree,
At least as long as we are free;
Or, do nothing, until, nothing's to see.
AMEN
