I pass on this Teaching, so you too may read,
Then you pass it on, so more people can heed,
The time is short, so use Heavenly Speed,
This may be the witness a Lost Soul will need.
So many hunger, for Eternal Salvation,
We find them here, and in every Nation,
Even in countries, of complete Subjugation,
Through Repentance, they'll miss Tribulation.
Don't knuckle-under, to a Creation Hater,
Help people find their True Creator,
Who made Sun and Sky, the 'Lie Dissipater,'
Universe is HIS, Jesus, None Greater.
AMEN
and Yeee-Haaa!!!
"Dear Friend,
INTRO........If you are an atheist or an unbeliever, I invite you to study this article, excerpted from the book HOW CLOSE ARE WE.
You will see the precision with which the eternal God fulfills His prophecies in the Bible, to the very day and hopefully respond in faith.
PART 1.......Daniel 9:1,2, 24-26, "In the first year of Darius...I Daniel understood...that (the Lord) would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Seventy weeks (of years) are determined upon thy people (Israel) and upon thy holy city (Jerusalem)...to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy (i.e., for Messiahs reign to begin)...From the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks (69 weeks of years equals 483 years)...(Then) shall Messiah be cut off (i.e., slain)."
500 YEARS.....Imagine setting the date for Christ's triumphal entry 500 years before the event and being accurate to the very day! Daniel did that. In fact, this and his many other prophecies are so astonishing that the book of Daniel has been a chief target of determined skeptics for more than 100 years. Somehow Daniel had to be exposed as a fraud. Critics have insisted that Daniel's prophecies must have been made after the fact. Otherwise, one would have to admit that God as Daniel claimed, had given him a personal revelation of future world events hundreds of years before they happened. Such an admission would be intolerable for any skeptic to be forced to make. If the prophecies of Daniel could not be discredited, the cause of atheism would suffer an irreparable blow. Therefore, the book of Daniel has been examined and attacked relentlessly. It has withstood every assault and demonstrated conclusively that it is God's Word. Mankind is left with no excuse for rejecting the Bible and the message it brings.
DANIEL'S MANY REMARKABLE PROPHECIES.......To deal with the many prophecies of Daniel is beyond the scope of this writing. The four world empires--Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Grecian, and Roman--are foretold, including numerous concerning each. For example, the succession of the Medo-Persian empire by the Grecian empire and the division of Alexander the Great's empire into four parts is prophesied (8:20-22). That division is again mentioned in 11:4. The next 16 verses give amazing details of the wars of Ptolemy (the Grecian general who took possession of Egypt after Alexander's death) and his successors against the Seleucid's of Syria. That prophecy climaxed with the details concerning Seleucid ruler Antiochus Epiphanes (11:21-36), a type of Antichrist. Incredibly, one reads history written in advance.
FIRST ADVENT, RAPTURE AND SECOND COMING.......Interesting as Daniel's many prophecies are, we must confine our- selves to those which pertain directly to the Messiah's first advent, to the Rapture, and to the second coming. So remarkable are this great prophets insights concerning the coming Messiah that had Christ's critics understood only one verse in Daniel they would have been compelled to change their entire outlook toward Jesus of Nazareth. As we have seen, Christ's contemporaries, from the rabbis to the disciples, were confused about the kingdom. They imagined that it was to be set up in their time. And because Jesus didn't liberate Israel from Rome and reign as king on David's throne but was crucified instead, even the disciples were convinced, at that point, that He couldn't possibly be the Messiah. John the Baptist suffered from the same misconception. From prison he voiced his doubts that Jesus was the Christ. The reason for those doubts sheds light upon a similar confusion today concerning the kingdom.
A GREAT PROPHET--YET IGNORANT OF PROPHECY.......It seems impossible that John the Baptist could have been so mistaken. This man had been chosen by God for a very special mission, and one which he had completed magnificently. John had even been "filled with the Holy Spirit" before his birth. While still in the womb, he had leaped with joy at Mary's announcement to her cousin Elizabeth that she was with child of the Holy Spirit. Though unborn, John had supernaturally reacted with joy to the news that Mary would give birth to the Messiah, the One John was to introduce to Israel. John knew his mission, and as certainly as he knew his own identity he knew that Jesus was the Christ. When the Pharisees sent officers to ask him he believed himself to be the Messiah, he "confessed, I am not the Christ....I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord" (John 1:19-24). In quoting from Isaiah 40:3, John claimed to be the fulfillment of that prophecy. He not only knew his mission by revelation from God, but he had visible and miraculous confirmation: John 1:32-34, "And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him (as Christ came up out of the water after John baptized him). And I knew Him not (until that time); but He (God) that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on Him, the same is He...And I saw and bare record that this is the Son of God."
