  • C'mon Arley... don't be so sour on the new generation folks. Every generation thinks the generation that came after them is lost.

The fact of the matter is that we actually live in one of the most peaceful times in all of human history. The 24 hour news cycle wouldn't ever want to give us the indication that things are actually pretty awesome for most folks.

Unfortunately, that wouldn't sell enough advertisements for Viagara or Prilosec or whatever crap they are pushing on us. When are we all going to wake up and realize that they NEED something for us to be afraid of so THEY can sell ADS. Whether it is manufactured or real.

Weeks ago it was the election. Today it's the Fiscal Cliff and the War on Christmas, in a few weeks or months it'll be something else to keep you glued to Fox News. Are you going to let THEM dictate YOUR anger? It's amazing how quickly we hand over our own emotions to such drivel without a second thought.

  • Thanks, CSB. In a way, I wish I had been in a down mood, but 'somber' or 'truthful' is the feelings I was having. You are right, as some of the 'older' generation, ahead of me, did say about the same things as I espouse here. Epiphany, Oh my, I think I have become one of the 'older generation.' Ha.

Sadly, what I said, is what I see, based on experience, and Biblically. We do not know the exact day or hour Jesus is coming to finalize the foreclosure on Satan, but the 'Season' sure looks good, considering the season. We need to be ready, for graduation Home, and for judgment, prior to 'lift-off,' so to speak. Ha.

Those folk, right with God, need not worry, but those 'not,' need to. The 'season - signs,' are way too strong, with all the Biblical warnings now filled, or in the final filling-up clicks of the tank. Everyone will respond to the signs differently, some to loss, and some to gain [in this case 'gain' is not associated with 'pain,' only 'loss' can claim 'pain' this time])^; (^8

Merry Christmas, to you and yours, one and all.

  • "The 'season - signs,' are way too strong, with all the Biblical warnings now filled, or in the final filling-up clicks of the tank."

What, specifically, are you referring to, Navy? What signs, besides meteors hitting Jupiter, can you point to?

  • Hello Benevolus. Nothing in particular, many sources in general, is my answer. Right now, however, Isa 17:1- 6ish comes to mind, as only one example, concerning Damascus, and surrounding area.

I was speaking in generalities, based on reading numerous articles, books, and, of course, the Bible, but my words are for interest, not for specific instruction. I'm too dumb to be a good teacher, or Attorney; perhaps much like Peter.

  • Oh. Apologies then, Navy. I guess that when you wrote, "all the biblical warnings" had been fulfilled, I figured you might have some example in mind.

So in reality, no specific Biblical warnings have been met? You just have a general sense of impending doom?

  • Apologies accepted, Benevolus. You might want to learn how to read a 'complete' sentence, however, before deciding my meaning of what I'm saying.

""You just have a general sense of impending doom?"" Hmmm, and I thought I was offering 'somber,' and 'enthusiastic,' since those saved in Christ Jesus, go to 'Reward,' not 'Torment,' so, you see, Benevolus, I may get close, being concerned that many may be spending eternity in the 'Lake of Fire,' made for Satan and the Fallen Angels, but, we, 'IN' Jesus spend Eternity 'with' Jesus, not separated 'from' Him. (I did ask you not to put words in my writing, nor meanings I do not espouse (unless accidentally inserted))

The Prophecies, 'Seem to be,' quickly falling into place, and being completed, or staged to be an event,(does that sound better??), to a point we all need be right with Jesus, or may (may: possible, perchance, etc) fall into the Satanic trap of following the wrong leader, to that 'Lake of Fire,' previously mentioned.

Are you 'Saved?' Are you 'Lost?' Only you and Jesus/God know that, Benevolus. I am sure, however, 'If you are not 'Saved,' you are then 'Lost,' as there is no 'middle - ground' noted, in God's Word. John 14:6 comes to mind. . (Pls. note CSB's offering, above. That is what I call 'discussion.') Merry Christmas

  • Navy,

I don't think I misread, or incompletely read, what you wrote. I am just curious as to which prophecies you believe are coming true.

I am not sure what the difficulty here is.

  • Navy,

Actually, earthquakes are down quite significantly this year.

I am sure you know the bible better than I do, but I don't remember "booming noises" being a sign of the end times. Do you?

Typhoons making u-turns are rare, but they are not unprecedented.

The council in question actually stated that US power is waning, and that by 2030 they predicted we will be "first among equals." In any case, what does the unipolar world power status of the US have to do with the end times? I thought those on the right liked the idea of the US being the only world leader?

I guess I am failing to see how loud booms, a reduction of in the number of earthquakes, rare but not unheard of weather events, and the US sharing power with a few other nations add up to biblical prophecy.

What prophecy do sinkholes fulfill? Do you have a time frame yet? Are you excited for 12/21/12?

  • Then we have no need to be concerned, do we:

Mat_24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

  • Live your lives as if today is your last. Those of us who chose to live our lives as Jesus Christ did will live as He did. Those who chose to live life as the world dictates, will do so as well.

The question is, what if tomorrow comes.

  • I don't understand the question...was there supposed to be a 'never' in there?

That reminds me of a Todd Snider lyric...

"Any kind of heaven everybody doesn't get in won't seem like a heaven to me...so if tomorrow never comes, and tonight is all I got, I don't want to be afraid to meet my maker just the way that I'm not."
