Unsinkable, that's what they said,
This Ship of State, U S A
Soon the ashes, adorn a flower bed,
If we don't rise up, but, REPLAY!

The Happenstance of Coincidence,
With Disaster potential, Incidence.
(now, there is a mouthful of Ponderization),
More than Adam had, after Creation.

We went to sea, in Two Thousand and Eight,
Upon the 'Change' Ship, U S A,
Renamed that, from 'Titanic's Date,'
Financial shuffle-board, we'd played.

We wouldn't play, or even stay,
Aboard a ship that's doomed to sink,
'Enlightened,' we thought we had to pray,
'Messiah, save us from Disaster, brink.'

Now, read below, the basket of woe,
Happenstance, took us for a ride,
Four years, of spending, has dug a hole,
So big, there's no place our debt can hide.

Don't cry, just pray, to save the day,
Election's coming November, Six,
To, maybe, send this nightmare away,
As we begin to 'Pick-up-Sticks.'

There's so much to Ponder, and chew on,
Sit down, with a warm cup of tea,
This isn't 'Monte Python,'
This involves both, you-all and me:
