Prayer for Guidance

I came before my God, today,
To seek another cup, to drink,
I quickly learned, stay in His Way,
His Love conveyed, with Godly Wink.

Father God,
I come before you on this new day,
with a heart that's filled with pain,
Some are taking much I say,
As if, your Holy Blood, I stain.

They accuse my heart of hating,
Seeking truth, I must be wrong,
Satan's lies aren't dissipating,
Enticing to a place, man don't belong.

The 'hating,' I'm accused of,
Is a twist of grave concern,
Indicating, I'm not a man of love,
Your 'Love Letter,' they refuse to learn.

This 'valley' that I walk through,
Though not the one of death,
An example of what some feel for you,
Negative judgment, in every breath.

I need greater measure,
Of your Patience, so Devine,
So I can share your Treasure,
As I walk your narrow line.

Clarify my mortal hearing,
Make my Spirit vision, keen,
Choose my words to perfect sharing,
Let them see what I have seen.

Shield my heart from sling and arrow,
Tie my tongue if I speak mean,
So my witness not plow farrow,
And my many stumbles not be seen.

Keep my eyes upon the cross you bore,
Guide my feet, on center path,
Convict unsaved hearts, that's seeking more,
So, they too, may be free from Wrath.

May my cup be a Baptismal Spring,
On hearts, seeking you, above,
May your Spirit give them cleansing wing,
As you fill their cup, with Love.

Forgive my mortal shortage,
Forgive my inept ways,
With you, we need small portage,
Help me serve you, throughout my days.
