Mountain

Mountain
By Arley Steinhour 090112
Looking down, upon a mountain,
There's much that I do see,
I see a God powered fountain,
Looking back at me.
The crag and crevice beauty,
Shattered by the weight of time,
Like a fingerprint, the fluting,
That makes God's mountain rhyme.
Each has a character, of one,
No other can match the sight,
The mountain smiling at the Sun,
With all its regal might.
To view, at thirty thousand feet,
Strength, and Largeness do we see,
To walk about, a surface treat,
Gaining wisdom from God made tree.
A mountain's smaller parts, the quire,
Blessing fodder, worth many days.
Sitting around a warm camp-fire,
Appreciating God's stars, and ways.
The mountain stone, and life, give air,
Soft, and silently, they speak,
Yet, people say, without a care,
'Where is this God, we seek?'
Open ears, and eyes, and touch gently,
Let your mouth, not say a word,
You'll hear God's Royal symphony,
Perhaps, the heart will cry, 'I've Heard.'
AMEN
