Ode to John A Herrmann
Ode to John A Herrmann
By Arley Steinhour 070212
Though, many folk will praise the man,
For being part of community,
The loneliness of being Mortician,
Set John aside, with Social impunity.
Not many folk, can truly say,
They saw this man get mad,
John had calm demeanor sway,
Like few other people have had.
So many people placed before him,
Treating all with tender care,
Kinfolk added John, in their hymn,
When their praise to Jesus, did share.
John witnessed to those, left behind,
Reminder to them, it's not the end,
Inside the Gates of Heaven, we find,
Our Christian, families, and friends.
John and Karla, now holding hands,
Abundant Joy, fills his heart,
Souls he served, 'Lay on Hands,'
As Jesus rewards John's 'Life-Part.'
AMEN
