UNFIXABLE LEAK

Choices, Choices, How many ways are there to show that this Titanic is sinking, or a cup of coffee is too high, or gas is way to high when you purchase with an eye-dropper?? Hmmm. Frustration can even find me.

UNFIXABLE LEAK

Folks who pay taxes, won't pay anymore,
Pockets are thin, as their waist soon be,
Tax from the solvent, Entitled to the poor,
Too well ensconced now to say 'we are free.'

Those who truly 'can't,' smothered by those who 'won't,'
Those who won't, demand more, of those who pay,
Those who pay, ask for reason, Those who won't, don't,
Those who can't, suffer, when those who won't, play.

Those who can't work, need help in their life,
Those who will work, agree, and pay tax,
Those who won't work, cause great fiscal strife,
Perhaps it's time to give 'Won't' folks, 'Entitlement Ax.'

Oh, wailing, and gnashing of teeth you will hear,
As they rush to Congress, demanding,
'We have a Right, to what we want here,
Payers are not those 'Commanding.''

Congress will promise, reaction be fast,
They that pay have no right to recant,
Congress need votes, so entitlement lasts,
There's too many who won't, to out-chant.

Then, those who 'Pay,' will settle the day,
As they pack up their desk, and depart,
Those who 'can't,' and 'won't,' have no pay,
Those who 'pay' go somewhere, restart.

The buildings all leak, streets are a mess,
Creatures lurk behind frames with no glass,
The system was great, until Entitlement Test,
The world, for lack of 'Payers' don't last.

Congress is somewhere, living 'the life,'
With the Graft and Corruption type pay,
The 'can't' are dead, the 'won't' in great strife,
Those who 'pay,' working hard, hid-away.

U S A couldn't 'PAY,' so the World just simply collapsed. AMEN

Do you realize that Nebraska receives more in Federal Funding than they pay in Federal Taxes?

Nebraska is as much a part of the problems as those that live in buildings that leak.

Agriculture income forcast is up 35% yet we still have the farm subsidy programs handing out Federal Tax Dollars. One mans justification of Federal Tax Dollars is another mans Entitlement Program.

To some degree, I agree.

Agriculture is but one facet, but I was addressing Entitlements, and Welfare. Sorry I wasn't more specific with my words.

I prefer seeing the Good, so no thanks. I am upset my echo-chamber generated the poem, but it did.

If you are content with our present national situation, good on you, but, I happen to be concerned about the direction it is sliding. Isn't it fantastic, we are, IMO, living in the time of experiencing the close of the 'Church Age?' There is much going on, different than my imagination thought would be. Much fodder to Ponder, and chew on.

Arley,

Where I grew up the LDS religion purchased private property close to Jr. and Senior High Schools and setup seminary programs that the students could attend as an elective course. Many did and still do.

The Church Age is here to stay, it may have to adapt to the times and there lies the problem - how to proceed into the future while hanging onto the past.

People like yourself hold the key Arley - heck, you even have me reading your articles.

Are farm subsidies entitlements? Cause I would bet that those cost far more than the "won't work" crowd (who aren't very costly at all actually).

Farm subsidies are for two reasons, Low food prices to consumer, and Business control of the farmer by Government.

Entitlements, that part I mention, is, IMO, Taking from the worker, moneys to purchase votes from those who won't work, so the 'worker' ends up quitting ... Collapsing a of Way of Life ... a vital part of what is happening in America.

You may see a bit of what my generation sees, or should be seeing, as I see events transpiring, and winning the destruction of our country; very prophetic, IMHO.
