Redemption Grace
Redemption Grace
By Arley Steinhour 010412
How can one pray five times a day,
When through each day, prayerfully I live,
How can I cross my heart that way,
While receiving blessing, He does give.
Have you ever thought about formality,
In what one does, or need repeat,
That requires much of one's mortality,
To qualify as Godly Prayerful meat?
Do our fellow Christians seem to think,
Somewhere there's a Godly Bill to pay?
If not done right, they'll raise a stink,
Be sure, you'll have a real bad day.
Our Savior paid a debt he didn't owe,
To save all Sinners, very much like me,
Had He not, to Hell we all would go,
And, never belong unto His Family Tree.
So, when somebody says I've got to pray,
Or do things they decide for me to do,
Before I've done enough for that one day,
I wonder if they know our God, so true.
He wants us not to grovel in the ash,
Or flagellate the skin from off our back,
Love for Him, and mankind is our cash,
Helping others fills our Reward stash.
Repentance through Messiah, Soul Redeemed,
Through Grace, He never passes on the cost,
Following the Master is a pleasure never dreamed,
Those who 'Overcome,' the Second Death has lost.
To any person not yet in His Flock,
Who think you never want to kneel and pray,
Sadly, you may be a mortal 'Rock,'
Second Death is still able to take away.
AMEN
