WAR or MOREPosted Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at 12:32 PM
A Horrible day, in December,
One we, forever should remember,
Not for a wake-up, misapplied,
But for a day, that our God cried.
By Arley Steinhour 120711 Seventy years, Israel, Exiled in Babylon, Seventy years, mourning, From their home, gone. Seventy years, History, Pearl Harbor, in flame, Seventy years, mourning, The Second with 'World' name. By-word used was 'Isolation,' in our country, shore to shore, Coming out of Great Depression, Refused to say 'War,' anymore. 'Sneak Attack,' says it all, Without warning, people died, Just before Sunday Church call, Peace on earth was set aside. The World War had been raging, almost three years, by that date, By then, millions dead and dying, December Seven, we woke up late. Today, we mourn that attack, When perhaps we should thank Japan, If they hadn't made us fight back, We'd be living under a German plan. This thought may not come easy, Rejection, out of hand, With hatred, don't be sleazy, Thank God, for His 'Wake-up' plan. AMEN |
