Candle Light BrightPosted Sunday, November 27, 2011, at 5:19 PM
The Chanukah Menorah best represents the candle, when one day supply of oil lasted eight days, with God's help. We all need His HELP. Too many candles are burning dim, some are out. Shine our light on each other, to relight our Faith.
By Arley Steinhour 112711 We've seen, the hopeless, at the drinker's bar, The Blind, drive down the road, The Deaf, can't hear you, near or far, Unlit candle, an heavy load. Flame is Oh-So delicate, Substance, next to none, Unlit wax, in solid state, Shines no light on any one. The heat of Faith will light the wick, Wax begins to melt and flow. Flame burning brightly is the trick, Hot wax changing makes a candle glow. Some see the light, turn away the head, Darker shapes they seek to see, God's light fills their heart with dread, Heart in chains, no longer free. Oh they swing, and sway, as wind blows, without a care to why, or when, Even when locked in deaths last throws, Light, they still can't comprehend. Some let their light just flicker out, When something in life goes wrong, They cry in the corner, wail and shout, Hope unused, don't relight life's song. The candles must keep glowing, In God, wax cannot run out, Dimly, when tears are flowing, Brightly, when Joyous heart is about. Satan is a Big Bad Wolf, Darkness is his thing, Candles burning for God, Wolf-proof, Satan feels the flames hot sting. So, keep your candles burning, Let the Light shine everywhere, Jesus quells the sinful yearning, Helps us see, with light to spare. Arley,
When are you going to do some calendars using your Praise & Poetry - another year just around the corner? You have plenty of time.
I was looking back at your archive and you have quite a collection Arley. Each one a piece of the puzzle that makes you who you are.
Take care of yourself.
Thank you for your very kind words, Geezer. Perhaps, if, we are still mortally living this mortal life, in this insane world, next Spring, I might need take your suggestion.
