High Mileage PraisePosted Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at 2:32 PM
Works for me, though the paint don't match, Maybe ugly, but easy to catch.
By Arley Steinhour 070511 I wake up every morning At least I have so far Praising you a heart full As if I'd slept upon a star I really must remember Take recorder off to bed So I can catch my morning praises Recorded before vacating head I stretch and squirm Praise for quite a while Little else I want to do Till my heart puts on a smile I ask you then for blessing In thought, in word, and deed Occasionally confessing Forgiveness is what I need A dream I dream Or thought I thought Sinful as it might seem Perhaps damnation fraught Of course I pray the food I eat You bless as bounty planned To serve my body as my meat I give thanks with up-stretched hand Oh, I mumble and sometimes grumble With the aches and pains of age Needing my wit lest I stumble Before I start a new Life-page So many thoughts I need record To develop into better praise So bless me like you do my Ford High mileaged but full of Mile-high Praise.
