First Birth Quandary
First Birth Quandary
By Arley Steinhour 053111
Every body must be born
Into life as a mortal being
Naked as a lamb full shorn
With eyes not quite yet seeing.
Moments after breathing air
The mind is filled with life
Offers up a trumpet blare
Used in protest most of life.
On occasion Doctors query
'How long can this child last'
Years all filled with memory
Or will it even have a Past.
Longevity does vary
With each given life
Unknown, for most, it's scary
In a world filled with strife.
Each day of life fulfilling
Each night a dream-land flight
A life of memories thrilling
Or starvation, enduring a Blight.
Every person has a life-road
Some short, long, or twisted
Be it Prince or bearing heavy load
Sadness filled or brightly Gifted.
Little signs along the way
Three words, 'Are you Ready'
Price is Free, nothing to pay
You'll be strong and steady.
'Of course,' you say one day
Life changes week by week
Strengthening, and better
Faith in Jesus be to what I speak
He doesn't promise mortal happiness
Nor health and riches in your life
Only that you'll be with Him
Eternally, His Cherished Wife.
He promises, in metaphor
We be a part of Him
With Eternal blessings
Never more to Sin.
The games we cannot play
Comes from Satan's spawn;
Blessing in the Eternal Day
Beats Burned in Hell, Satan-Drawn.
AMEN
