Job and the LambPosted Friday, March 25, 2011, at 11:27 AM
In God We Trust, don't be Fools, Get Jesus back inside our Schools.
By Arley Steinhour 032511
I've seen this poem many times, as it travels around the globe,
Each time it enters my PC, I think of the story about devoted Job.
A man of God, his loyalties, so strong Satan couldn't understand,
Thinking Job would curse he God, if blessings were no longer grand.
God gave in, and authorized Satan, in one day, to take all away,
Animals, crops and children dead, yet curse God, Job wouldn't say.
Satan pleaded that if Job's health did fail he'd curse; God just said, 'OK,
BUT, you cannot take his life, or for that, Satan, you will PAY.'
Satan brought on boils, Leprosy, every kind of painful sore,
Job almost gave in, to his friends, God to curse, and more;
But, through it all, Job, kept his trust, and never his God did curse,
For that loyalty, God did reward, double back to Job, which ends this verse.
Mary had a Little Lamb
Mary had a little Lamb, his fleece was white as snow,
And everywhere that Mary went, the Lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school each day; it wasn't against the rule,
He made the children laugh and play, to have the Lamb at school.
And then the rules all changed one day, Illegal it became,
To bring the Lamb of God to School, or even speak His Name.
Every day got worse and worse, And days turned into years;
Instead of hearing children laugh, it is gun shots, creating tears.
What must we do to stop the crime, that's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school, and teach our kids to pray!
