I offer a Toast: "To the Soon, Locking Away, of Satan, in the Bottomless Chasm, where he will be isolated from mankind, for a Thousand years, while Jesus Rules the Planet, in Justice." May we learn from His Leadership, lest we suffer the Second Demise.
By Arley Steinhour 123110
Twas a bright, golden day, as the folk gathered there,
To witness a sight to behold;
Satan had challenged Christians, young and the old,
Argue, Word of God, rightly told, and bold.
The stage was all covered with lights, banners, and flags,
Chairs on the stage, were only but two;
Not One Christian has yet to respond to his challenge,
Can't, won't, compete, like me and like you.
A blood Red, time-clock on front of the stage,
Ticking the last minutes meted,
Much of the crowd, had packed up and left,
Consensus was 'Man be defeated.'
Satan was glowing, so sassy and Red,
The color he shows, when he wins races;
When, up to the stage, stepping soft and slow,
A man and a woman, with bags on their faces,
Satan did Roar, heinous Laugh, and much more,
Deception, a thing he loved to do;
Without much fan-fare, they waved warm to the crowd,
Sat down in the two fancy chairs.
With exaggerated behavior, Satan bent to look at the clock,
The minute hand still showed, minutes, Two;
'To keep contestants from cheating, as they take their beating,
All faces must show,' Satan said, 'meaning 'you.'
The crowd that was left, gave a cry back at Satan,
'Does it matter, as long as they are there?'
"Satan made the challenge, so he sets the rules,"
Came the answer, from Judges, quite fair.
Satan ecstatic, beaming grin getting wider, cried:
'This nice couple are meeting their doom;'
Intimidation is most of Satan's winning form,
Plus, Bible knowledge, that would fill a room.
Slowly, so slowly, they reached up and lifted,
To show who they truly be;
Explosive, don't describe it, as Satan collapsed,
Screaming as he fell to his knee:
"Book, Chapter Verse; please call me a Hearse,
Against them, I'm quite slow and wimpy,
I can hum along, but I can't sing the 'song,'
As Fast or True as: Jack and Rexella Van Impe."
Happy, Happy, New Year, One, and, ALL.
