Praying to JesusPosted Thursday, December 16, 2010, at 1:37 PM
Water reflects the Heart-strings even better than the voice.
Aussie's will love it, or HATE it, we'll see.
Praying to Jesus
By Arley Steinhour 022309
(to Tune: Waltzing Matilda (Australian))
*1 Once a righteous Christian prayed by a billabong,
Under the shade of a Coolabah tree.
"Come sweet Jesus, come down to this billabong,
Come if you will, take me Home with thee." *c1*
*2 Up rode the Prayer Guard, mounted on his thoroughbred,
Up rode the troopers, One, Two, Three.
Why are you praying, underneath the coolabah,
Pray not to Jesus, but unto me. *c2*
*3 Full execution, the price of this forbidden prayer,
Full execution will cleanse the State.
As the trials and the pressures of the Tribulation law,
Kills every Christian, that is their fate. *c3*
*4 Up jumped the Christian, and sprang into the billabong,
You'll never stop my prayer, cried he.
And his prayer may be heard, as you pass by the billabong,
You'll never stop my prayer, I'm Free. *c4ab*
1, 2, 3, *4a* Praying to Jesus, Praying to Jesus,
Praying to Jesus, his old heart felt fleet,
1, 2, 3 Yes the trials and the pressures of the Tribulation Great,
Melts full away, praising Christ, so Sweet.
*4b* And his prayer may be heard, as you pass by the billabong,
You'll never stop, my prayer, I'm .... FREE ....!
