Get Well Soldier

Posted Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 6:25 PM

Audie Murphy was a one of a kind, as are every person, but especially those who keep us free, and this is as good a season as I can think of, considering, Jesus died to make us FREE, born for that one purpose, Son of GOD.
Tis the Season to be giving, Fa La La LaLa La La La La...

Do you have a spare Christmas card left over?? How about joining Leonard Dutton, and myself, plus as many as we can get to do it, to send a Christmas Card to an American Soldier, in the hospital, recovering?? Consider:

A Great Idea!!!

When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please

include the following:

A Recovering American Soldier

c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center

6900 Georgia Avenue,NW

Washington , D.C. 20307-5001 """

I sent mine, and managed to poetize my greeting. You need not do that, just wish them Merry Christmas, and thank them for their service, etc, will help make their Christmas a whole bunch brighter.

Here is my poem, that I sent, and I pray it makes their day, as much as it made mine simply composing, and knowing where it is going:

I cannot say I know you,

And I may never see,

But I can thank you from my heart,

for keeping our Freedom Free.

Your service to this country,

Can never make you Number One,

That be His who died for you,

the one we call God's Son.

Your sacrifice may have been close to His,

your wounds may make that clear,

I thank you with my: Merry Christmas,

Wrapped with His Love for you, so dear.

I served my time without great harm.

Some many years ago,

And send my Thanks for serving,

May you heal, and His Love know.

May you all be blessed this Christmas, for doing something for those who keep us free, and safe.
