Waking Up 1

May God's Son, and Sun, shine into your heart, and onto your head. With His Holy Word, we all are well Fed.

O lord, my lord, Dear God I pray,

I come before you, this Pre-dawn of Day.

The day will be dawning, over the hill,

The sky be clear, the wind quite still.

Soon, daylight break, so bright and clear,

There's work to do, today, right here.

You clean our world, you clean our hearts,

And in that cleaning, we All have parts.

Each Day, you do bless me, completely anew,

As I wake, from deep sleep, praying to you.

Oh Lord, Dear God, I worship thee,

I marvel that you would ever want me.

You make me part of Your Family Tree,

And help me stand tall, so the unsaved can see.

Oh, yes, your blessing Christ, Emanuel

Has saved even me, from the dark pits, of Hell.

So, as I lay here, waiting for daylight to break,

I pray and praise you, for my Eternal Souls sake.

I'll witness to others, so unsaved can see,

How well you take care of your Family.

Jesus, my God, I truly love thee.
