  • Here is a demonstration of a comparison using only Million, as the base number, but equaling over Six Billion:

This is a demonstration about having an impact on the poor throughout the world. Very convincing argument.

  • Speaking of 'Crazy,' I received this, once more, this morning, and the brevity and perfect sanity, just might fit this subject:

    """ Let me get this straight . . . .

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care

plan we are forced to purchase and

    fined if we don't,

    which purportedly covers at least

    ten million more people,

without adding a single new doctor,

but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,

written by a committee whose chairman

    says he doesn't understand it,

passed by a Congress that didn't read it but

    exempted themselves from it,

and signed by a President who smokes,

with funding administered by a treasury chief who

    didn't pay his taxes,

for which we'll be taxed for four years before any

    benefits take effect,

    by a government which has

already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,

all to be overseen by a surgeon general

    who is obese,

and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!

    'What could

    possibly go wrong?' """

    I just love it.

  • This Nation has seen way way way worse times before.. Like Billions and Billions and Billions times worse times.. and thats a lot.. (great depression)

did we climb out of that??

has this nation with stood everything that has been thrown our way?

Do we wish we could go back and do things differently?? Yes of course..

The things we feel we did wrong we all have someone to blame for it or take the fall don't we??

Adn the good things or the right things we all think it was someone from our party who did right??

It's all opinion.. it's all hear say..

We are not in the white house , or the pentagon , or the CIA or FBI offices , or involved with the congressional house on an hourly daily basis for the last 100 years to know why our government does what it does....

SO we don't know for sure...

especially don't have a clue if we live in little old Mccook , NE...

all we do is watch FOX , watch CNN or surf the net to hear or find stories that are completely distorted in a way to accomadate a certain political party..

(Do you not all know that???)

figure it out and make judgements for yourself and yourself only.. don't listen to anyone else..

It's ok to disagree.. in fact that is what makes this country great..

In the meantime the National Debt has been in the billions and trillions for quite sometime now has it not???

Has this country still moved forward and prospered???

    YES!!!

So lets not all get our panties in a bunch just quite yet...

    O.k

    Just Say'in!!!

    Clueless,

    Wow!

"especially don't have a clue if we live in little old Mccook , NE..."

This is a pretty scary statement to me. Why do you think people who live elsewhere have a better "clue" than those in McCook? Do you want others to do your thinking for you?

  • Oh and one question???

Do any of you feel high and mighty if you slam someone good on this blog or really do some reaserch to type up a strong statement to back up your argument and feel good about it... ???

Like heck ya I sure told Damu or I sure told captainovious or I sure put Sam or Mike in his place with that one...

If you do all I can say is

Good Job buddy you are the Master Mccook NE blogger.. you have won the gold..

I hope no one would ever feel that way or want to feel that way or want to have that title...

could anyone really be proud of that or actually feel inteligent or actually use that as validity to your political knowledge..

Like your over at a buddies house.. saying Oh boy Bobby Joe I sure told them on the blog about the upcoming bill that may or may not pass.. I sure am smart I sure know my politics... I sure told Mikey and Sammy how it is or how it should be..

    It's a MCcook NE Blog..

None of us would last a day on capital hill...

Neither would Rush Neither would Olberman or who ever else you have fantasies about while laying in bed...

    EEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

    I'm OUT!!

  • Right SW..

Don't have a clue.. (well maybe I went to far with that one) you do have a clue.. probably even intelligent or probably even very intelligent for that matter I guess I meant to say very very sheltered and unaware... or tunnel vision.. most people have thier minds made up before they even know they story.. and who is to say that is really what happened?? it's all hear say..

and this is the case with most of americans regardless of geographical location...

The number one mistake people have in this country is already having thier mind made up before something is even presented to them..

for instance... lets say there was a republican presidential candidate who was clearly the best candidate possible and was cleary going to do this country a great service and turn this thing around and everyone could clearly see that without a doubt.. you would still have millions and millions and millions of democrats still vote someone else just because they would not want to have a republican president.. and that is just plain sick and stupid.. and the same would go if it was a democratic candidate who was in the same scenario...

Tell me I am wrong on that???

It is just sick to think we have so much pride or so much hate for one party that it derails us from actually making educated decisions!!!

  • CLUELESS: I agree with 99.99% of what you said. Oh! by the way, I'm not from Nebraska any more, and guess what? I haven't a clue either. I stopped watching the news three or four years ago. It's made me a much less stressful person.

I find that most people have a hard time admitting they are wrong on most blogs. Myself included. I have learned to walk to the center of the political road. Sometimes I have no position on a subject. This brings me to this saying.

"Don't worry about having no position; worry about that

whereby you may effectively become established. Don't worry that no one recognizes you; seek to be worthy of recognition.'

I think we all seek recognition in our own way or we wouldn't be commenting on these blogs.

The crazies are running the show...this statement by Sam could easily be overlooked and discarded as less than relevant.

However...if the crazies are perceived by the up and coming citizens (immigrants, young people coming of age) and less than fully engaged citizens of this country as behaving within the norm...one can see how quickly our society can get skewed. Upon that deviation, any attempt to correct or adjust policies, laws, or every day business back to the ream of "normal" will be resisted by the very people who would benefit greatly from the improvements in the first place.

Does anyone believe that this is not done purposefully?
