Personally I'd like to see holy wood do a more realistic ten commandments movie. Don't get me wrong, the version with Heston was pretty good. The color of all the actors for the period seemed a bit off to me though..

  • John Wayne brought credibility to those role because the viewer felt he, in real life, could be the characters he played. Jeff Bridges, nah.

@RRW That's not really fair though. John Wayne tried to serve in the military, but because of a conspiracy involving his agent was unable to.

    eddy,

Is it your contention that only those who have served can be patriots? That is what you post seems to indicate.

    eddy,

Ok I was wondering because in some of your earlier posts it read pretty clearly that you believe they are NOT patriots and the only basis I saw was that they didn't serve. I see now you are just trying to rehash familiar slurs.

BTW, how does a patriot act?

" what slurs are you talking about? Do you mean Libbies, Commies, Nazies, kennyan shoe shine boy? Etc?"

Yes, those would fall into that category. Although I don't think Libbies is probably a slur, I happen to have a wonderful mop they made. Oh wait that's Libman.

" I am just pointing out that the ones who cry the loudest are usually the worst offenders, Like David Craig, Mark Sanchez, Rush Limbaugh etc. Saying one thing and doing the oppisite"

Mark Sanchez?!?!?!? What did the quarterback of the Jets do now?

Sorry for not responding to your question about military service I thought it was rhetorical. I don't know what their military service is, nor do I care. What is the military service of Keith Olberman, Rachel Maddow, Al Franken, or Bill Maher? Does it matter? Does it mean they can't be patriotic or support the military? Those are rhetorical questions the answer to both of which are "no".

Does pointing out people's personal faults invalidate their arguments in your mind?

    eddy,

If Rush is not a good model of family values, does that make those values wrong?

You said: "i really dont see" and that is a valid point, partisans rarely see the faults of thier like minded people while pointing out the faults of those they don't agree with. All a matter of perspective.
