The Doofus Effect

Posted Monday, August 30, 2010, at 3:15 AM

One of the things I enjoy most about Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin is how they inspire liberals to make fools of themselves; thus the doofus effect.

Beck managed to invigorate several hundred thousand folks to come to Washington DC (which is no picnic) to honor America. For weeks Beck has been asking folks to pray. I know, very radical stuff for liberals.

Liberals think prayer is having you fill out paperwork begging the government for a handout.

Beck asked for people to spend a few minutes each day, on their knees, before God. This drives the left crazy. Liberals prefer that you listen to the apostles of Socialism in the state run Obama media.

Beck also asked folks to tell the truth, as much as possible, to help to restore honor, first to individual Americans, then to America.

Liberals have to throw a fit at this. Truth exposes liberalism for the lie that it is.

Beck and Palin speak to the good in America, and Americans, and this drives the left nutty. Liberals believe that America is THE problem in the world.

The left has engaged in an all out smear campaign on Sarah Palin since the moment she was announced as McCain's running mate. Libs get weird when they see sucessful women who actually like men and respect life.

Women all over the country are not happy with the unfounded attacks on Palin, and that has led to a flood of conservative women candidates now on the move, working to restore our Constitutional Republic.

And that drives the left crazy.

So on a day that Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, prayed for the Blessings of an Almighty God, as they honored heroes, as the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King spoke of love of Christ, Obama went out of his way to explain, to anyone who'd listen, that he was ignoring it all.

Sure you were Barry. Sure you were.

Expect the left to become more and more unhinged as the lies of liberalism continue to be exposed.

I remember these same leftist tactics during the Jimmy Carter mess. The media lied about Reagan, slandered him, called him extreme, or senile, or a racist, or whatever, and the end, "We The People" rejected the hysteria and hate of the left, and put Reagan into office ... twice.

I found this in regard to Palin as well. I love these things called facts the media loves to obfuscate.

I retract my previous blanket statement. I hadn't actually seen these shows I don't have tv. They don't look to bad, I'm speaking more along the lines of "Jersey Shore" Kate Plus 8 and all the other mind liquidizing goo.

Also, I really think the Republicans should be getting the credit there asking for, in regard to the Iraq War. Racheal agress...

Reality Tv kills your brain. Discontinue watching it America. I realize its your right to watch whatever you want, but please stop killing your mind.

Guillermo,

If Sam's blogs were missing I would agree that it was the evil liberal Gazette, but it is the liberal blogs that are missing so it must be the evil conservative Gazette.

Back to Discovery Channel, I'm glad they still have those shows, I was worried they had devolved to all of the motorcycle shows and extreme families etc.

Oh, wait, I just figured it out. I bet the evil conservative Gazette people censored his speech. For Shame!!!!

-- Posted by SWNebr Transplant on Thu, Sep 2, 2010, at 10:02 AM

Hmmm,

I wonder what happened to it, thanks for the update though. Sorry if I was harsh.

I used to like the discovery channel when the shows were actually about something. But I haven't really watched TV for the past year and a half so I really can't say anything about current programming.

Oh, I think he was trying to make a little joke implying you were the eco-terrorist at the Discovery Channel.

Guillermo,

Sorry I must have missed that, do you remember about when or what the topic was so I can go back and check it out? I'm having problems finding that in the archives. :P

Has anyone heard from Guillermo since this "situation" started?

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Wed, Sep 1, 2010, at 8:45 PM

Nope!

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Wed, Sep 1, 2010, at 8:39 PM

Guillermo,

While I agree Sam's posts are overgeneralized with his liberals...(fill in the blank), why do you only complain when conservatives do it? I haven't seen you take others to task for doing the same thing. Well except me of course :)

@CPB I'm on the computer all day and can only read so much news before I get bored.

-- Posted by Damu on Wed, Sep 1, 2010, at 5:49 PM

Then why do you keep responding?

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Wed, Sep 1, 2010, at 4:21 PM

@CPB No, I've already decided your worth minimal effort. If any at all.

Reports are a potential ultra-left liberal doofus is holding hostages in the Discovery Channel building. Apparently, evolution is not going fast enough and he does not like babies.

There you go Molly123.

About time to start getting up in arms wouldn't you say?

Chunky above should be you've, my bad buddy!

@CPB I've yet to show me proof that Giraffes don't have vocal cords, but that's beside the point. Since coming up with verifiable proof for your outlandish ideas is probably very difficult.

As for beck though, lets go through some of his main points..

http://media.glennbeck.com/828/828kit.pd...

The pamphlet says this isn't a tea party rally or a 9/12 style rally. With no politics involved whatsoever. Actually I fully support uniting the American people under integrity and truth. Although the kind I get from Palin and Beck kind of leaves a weird taste in my mouth. What better way for us to honor the troops than to bring them home? Restore honor within ourselves and our country. This point I'm having some trouble with. Should we not be protesting the Mosque site since that seems kind of like we don't have religious tolerance like were supposed to? (actually it makes those who protest against it as Limbaugh so eloquently put it look "retarded".) Should we be putting Bush and Cheney on trial for war crimes? Should we be banishing ridiculous non science teachings (*cough* creationism) from our schools so are children have a chance in the new global economy?

Thanks chunky your guidance will be greatly appreciated!

I've yet to see any of the resident doofus's offer up a challenge to Glen Beck ideas or thoughts. Perhaps name calling and and foolish, simple minded remarks may seem like a debate for the goofy left, but nonetheless, it is foolishness and will be left as such.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Mon, Aug 30, 2010, at 10:28 PM

@CPB I love your humor! I watched part of the speech, it was almost like Jesus was behind Beck leading him on into the mountains of cash for Beck U!

-- Posted by Damu on Mon, Aug 30, 2010, at 10:17 PM

As one who did not watch Glen Beck's rally, I would have to say that Glen Beck and Sarah Palin must have hit the ball clean out of the park with non-doofus (the conservative leaning majority)America. I can also tell by the distorted and uninformed response of the resident liberals (doofus's), that the rally has inspired main stream Americans.
