What is and What Should Never Be

The Spring of 1943 found Myra is a difficult way. Just a few weeks separated from enduring a rape, forty-one year old Myra now had an unwanted pregnancy to deal with.

Myra placed an ad in the newspapers asking for a Christian couple to adopt the child, and after Jim's birth in a charity ward in Houston, the boy had a new home. A Pastor and his wife from the Dallas area came forward to help.

Some years later, Myra re-entered Jim's life, and the boy was permitted to live with his natural mother again. They struggled, they were poor, and when a father entered the picture, he proved to be a brutal alcoholic. Jim was forced to protect his mother during a beating by threatening to shoot the abuser.

Thus, Jim returned to his adopted parents, and at age fourteen, Jim became a Christian, and his life was never the same.

Jim proved to be a man with a passion for Christ, and for three decades he preached to more folks in the USA and abroad than anyone, save Billy Graham.

In 1992, Jim changed the focus of his ministry from evangelism to feeding poor kids. Today, Jim's organization feeds over 450,000 hungry children every month in Africa.

God takes the ugly, the unloved, the violated, and He makes something beautiful from it.

Jim's mom had at first asked for an abortion due to the circumstances of the conception, now 450,000 children - this month alone - in Africa, are thankful that Jim's death did not happen.

Today, in America, abortionists kill thousands every day, it never ends, we now have a perpetual tax fed killing machine born out the callousness of our hearts.

They justify the misery by clinging to the rape or incest arguments, and yet these violations account for less than one tenth of one percent of all abortions.

And still, the modern left sees to it that the rapist is protected and shown mercy, and the child of rape killed. Backwards as usual for the social engineers.

But while governments and politicians spin webs of deceit and death, you do not have to follow.

God delights in taking what the intellectual inbreds reject. And when He does, God makes them look foolish.

Christ was not a community organizer, he was a soul organizer. People need to be right with God before their governments, or their politicians, will ever do what is right.

In whom will you trust during the storms of life? Government? Government wants to be your god and the politicians beg to be your own personal messiah to the god of government.

I would ask that you consider Jesus.

If you are hungry seek God, and you'll find food, you'll also find life and liberty. Seek government and you'll find servitude and slavery and death.

Rudyard Kipling warned of those who long to control us, by promising everyone, "...the brave new world begins. When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins..."

Christ has already paid the bill for sins. You can not, nor can any socialist government full of malignant charity.

Our days are full of immense challenges, as is our future. You each have an opportunity to decide where you will exercise faith.

Choose wisely.

Welcome back, brother. As you can tell by the response of one of the resident leftists, bringing God into the discussion of abortion is akin to war. They know they are wrong, and cannot win.

Our Church has had an 8 week dissertation on the books of James, Peter, John, and Jude. These books contain the warning of the "false teachers". They are the ones who will try to convince the followers to weaken the laws of God, and the ministry of Jesus. And to a large extent, they have succeeded. Look how many churches view homosexuality, it has become accepted, and promoted among the church leadership as the gay ministers are accepted. Child sacrifice, abortion, many churches will not even take a stand in fear of offending some one in the parish. Sexual immorality, pornagraphy, again many churches will not even take a stand against this.

As more and more people see the effects these sins have on our culture, they will leave these false churches and those church will die a well deserved death. As Christians, we must be there for them, to provide the truth, as inspired from God, through Jesus.

So beware of those who spread lies about the Bible, for they are the work of satan.

Answer me this, oh brilliant Inglaterra. What is the root cause of slavery?

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Mon, Aug 2, 2010, at 6:17 PM

Sam, sorry if I am a bit muddy, as I had to trudge through the 'Anti' swamp to get here to say: Thank you for a very inspiring article. Keep praying for the slick talking mud folk, who wish to sully anything you say. The day is not far off that they may rue their words.

Good on you, and I hope you had a relaxing time off.

Yeee-Haaa!!! and AMEN

The root cause of slavery is capitalism.

-- Posted by Platinumtoaster on Mon, Aug 2, 2010, at 7:34 PM

The answer is man's/woman's lust. The desire for more. That desire which places people in debt. People had to "sell" themselves, and their children to pay off debt. Nations lusted for more went to war to possess it. The conquered became property. Clear violations of the 1st, 2nd, and 10th Commandments. Today, we are still slaves to desire (lust).

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Mon, Aug 2, 2010, at 7:44 PM

Yes it's called greed. Greed is admired and rewarded in capitalism.

-- Posted by Platinumtoaster on Mon, Aug 2, 2010, at 7:49 PM

The Bible also says that slaves were to be released after 6 years of servitude. The slave was also to be released with a gift of gratitude. God also reminded the Hebrew slave owners that they too, were once slaves, and that He, alone released them. You can find this in Deuteronomy 15:12-15. 15:4 also states there is to be no poor among you.

That brings us to the book of Philemon. The Apostle Paul reminds of Jesus' Golden rule, Matthew 12:7. That rule also applies to slave owners and slaves alike. Philemon was to treat his slave, Onesimus, as an equal, according to the eyes of Jesus. How can slavery possibly exist with this example, especially amongst Christians? It cannot. There are probably a lot of well meaning Christians, in name only, who will get the book thrown at them on judgement day.

There is no contradiction in Gods word, if you don't want to become a slave, avoid lust.

Carl,

Are there no illegal aliens in this country who are white? If there are, how could a desire to stop thier children from being citizens be race based?

-- Posted by SWNebr Transplant on Wed, Aug 4, 2010, at 8:31 AM

Carl,

I also meant to add that this of course presumes that when you say this is race based you mean that view is only held by white conservatrons and that no one who is not white is involved in the recent spat of anti immigration uproar.

-- Posted by SWNebr Transplant on Wed, Aug 4, 2010, at 8:35 AM

Carl,

Have people been excusing and supportive of white illegal immigrants while reviling illegal immigrants of color? If they have I would agree with your point that it is race based, otherwise I just see you trying to hurt people by calling them racist which, as we all know, there is no defense against.

Guillermo,

Well....I live in Nebraska but I'm not sure how that's germane.

Latinos who set up a law saying that it applies to only non-Latinos would indeed be racist, but I don't see that being argued in these cases. I think some people confuse causation with correlation when it comes to race and illegal immigration.

What politicians have argued that only illegal immigration of people not of their race should be stopped while encouraging the illegal immigration of like skinned people?

-- Posted by SWNebr Transplant on Wed, Aug 4, 2010, at 1:10 PM

Guillermo,

As I've said I think we'll just have to disagree, I don't think this law is racist, however people can be racist. Where in the law does it say this targets hispanics? That's all I need you to show me then I'll agree the law is racially biased.

You may need to lighten up on your defensiveness meter there, I didn't "accuse" Carl of anything, or at least I didn't intend to. Perhaps he wasn't talking about white people when he said it was race based but he never told me that I was wrong when I thought he was.

I KNOW you weren't arguing that Latinos set up racist laws, I was agreeing with you that a law that targets a specific racial group would be racist, but you haven't shown how the Arizona law does. You've shown some opinions of people who THINK it is racist but opinion does not a fact make.

So did that extremist right winger force other people to vote along with him by threats of violence? Because I'm pretty sure one person can't get a law passed all by his lonesome.

If light skinned illegal immigrants get a pass, is that a fault of the law or a fault of law enforcement? Does the law say arrest Jose but don't arrest Sven? Like I said, show me where it says that (not literally those words for any hyper-literalist), and I'll agree the law is racist.

I think we are arguing past each other because you are arguing a negative human nature and I'm arguing that isn't what the law says.

And finally, of course you would call me racist, I didn't agree with your ideas so I MUST be racist.

"You are being purposefully ignorant, OR you are racist yourself"

I had hoped you wouldn't think me purposefully ignorant after all our discussions.

-- Posted by SWNebr Transplant on Wed, Aug 4, 2010, at 4:09 PM

Guillermo,

By the way, I like your attempt at a clever dig at me by changing the subject and avoiding my questions.

"I distrust those people who always know so well what God wants them to do, because I notice it always coincides with their own desires."

-Susan B. Anthony (noted uppity feminazi/demonic progressive for the lulz)

I always found that humorous myself. From the snow white depictions of the Jesus to the Hatred of gays. It strikes me as odd that "god" is always molded in the eye of the behavior.

Guillermo,

I'm sorry but I have to disagree you didn't imply I was a racist you said I was either willfully ignorant or a racist so which is it? You pretty clearly called me one of those two things, and I think you should pick which it is. I suppose if you want to be all wishy-washy and not take a stand, I'd not be surprised. And now that I think about it I can see where you would make the argument that you only implied I was racist because then it wouldn't make you look as negative and childish. However, if you are going to imply something about a person you really shouldn't address it specifically to that person. Maybe you should have said "a person would have to be a racist to think that" rather than what you said, much better implication.

I thought God loved all men both north and south of the borders mentioned above. Why not share our blessings with God's children? Who are we to discriminate who is to be loved and taken care of more than others? Or are the bible references only used to substantiate political arguments?

In Guillermo's perfect America, this would be an everyday occurrence;

There is a difference between your post and mine. In your post, there is no examples of truth that comes from any of the conservative poster's, let alone mine. Therefore, your post is meaningless. In my post however, examples of your raw hatred of anything Christian runs abound. Therefore, it has meaning and purpose.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sat, Aug 7, 2010, at 9:39 PM

But it is correct.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sun, Aug 8, 2010, at 8:46 AM

Actually, from your point of view and mine, if life was meant to be on Mars, there would be life there. So instead, I will remain here on Earth to annoy you and all the other know-it-alls, who's lives as observed, is meaningless.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sun, Aug 8, 2010, at 1:13 PM

I do believe there are questions as to the source of methane on Mars;

http://www1.voanews.com/english/news/a-1...

I know, it must be hard, putting your faith in man for all life's answers.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sun, Aug 8, 2010, at 8:36 PM

I can, however see you point of view on the biological formation of methane. You (an organism) consuming the traditional college student foods (processed carbohydrates and meat products) continuously producing methane during the digestive process. Thus polluting your environment (bedroom, dorm room etc.). Not to mention that methane is THE contributing carbon based greenhouse gas (if you believe this non-sense). So Guillermo, what is your carbon footprint?

WOW!!! I am sure you are as impressed with yourself as I am of you! Keep up the good work.
