I am the Mainstream

Posted Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 4:48 PM

One of the best tools the left in America has, is their ability to propagandize. For example, the extremism of the left and of this current Democrat administration, is passed off as "Mainstream" while reasonable thought and reasonable demonstrations, are passed off by the left as "extreme."

Listen up leftists, and liberals, and all you America haters out there, I am the Mainstream, not you. Let us examine just a few issues.

Ft. Hood is one example. I believe that a reasonable person could look at what happened, and draw the right conclusion. This attack at Ft. Hood was yet another Islamic act of terrorism. So clear is the evidence of such, that even a government worker should be able to see the truth.

The extreme point of view comes from the leftists, and Obama. They are willing to point to anything, other than the truth. To ignore facts and to put political correctness ahead of common sense, is extreme. I am the Mainstream, you liberals are the extremists.

Look at the work this current Congress and President are doing to destroy our Republic. After the abject failure of Social Security and Medicare, the trillions wasted, what do the extremists want to do?

A reasonable person, a "Mainstream" person, would say, "Hey government, why don't you repair the two major bureaucracies that you have created, bankrupted and mismanaged? Then we'll talk about health care.

If you can save 500 billion dollars in Medicare, then why don't you do that first? Save the 500 billion, without killing old people, and then come talk to us.

You extremists say, the hell with all that, we need 110 new bureaucracies...now! We need to steal trillions from future generations, and we need you old people to just die already. Then these geniuses propose that some snot nosed bureaucrat, who cannot recognize a terrorist standing front of them firing a weapon and killing Americans, suddenly has enough where-with-all, to decide your medical care. That is extreme. I am the Mainstream, you liberals are the extremists.

Abortion is yet another example. I think it is reasonable to respect life. It is reasonable to demand that and end to the senseless murder of three thousand American children each and every day. You extremists say we must kill three thousand kids a day, because one of those pregnancies might have bee the result of rape or incest. I think it is extreme to kill three thousand lives everyday, rather than deal with the one difficult pregnancy. I am the Mainstream, you liberals are the extremists.

It is reasonable to want the USA to lead the world in energy. It is reasonable to use our assets to our own best interest. We have oil, we should use it. We have coal, we should use it. We have the technology to go nuclear in a big way, and we should use it. We should do our best to use these resources and respect the environment. All very reasonable.

You extremists say, any creature on Earth has priority over humans. You say we must waste trillions in green fantasies and untested theories. You say we must kill and punish our own industries. You say we must tax our people with even more fervor. That is extreme. I am mainstream, you liberals are the extremists.

Immigration? Same deal all the way. I say, a reasonable person would say, that our borders should be secured, YESTERDAY. We should encourage legal immigration, and stop the illegal immigration. A reasonable person would expect that Americans of Mexican descent would want to help us in our efforts to secure this country. With the Mexican nationals that are already here and want to stay here, there should be made a way, but secure the freakin' borders. How tough is it?

You extremists say that once anyone for any reason hits our shore line, they are entitled to be treated exactly as citizens. They get free health care, food stamps, housing assistance, JOB assistance, legal aid, and on an on. You liberals want to buy and extra twenty million votes in the next election, so you'll promise amnesty, and count all the illegals in the next census, so that they can vote and gain political power. I think it extreme just to let any nation, Mexico or otherwise, simply invade your country and take over. I am the mainstream, you liberals are the extremists.

That brings us to what once was called the Mainstream Media. Sorry folks, but ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NPR are now the extreme media. The Mainstream Media is now FOX NEWS, Rush Limbaugh, Drudge, Beck, Hannity, etc.

It is reasonable to expect that our national media would act as a watchdog to our government. Instead the Extreme Media has acted like a lapdog, not a watchdog. The Extreme Media has become a part of the Obama Administration. That is extreme. I am Mainstream, you liberals are the extreme.

I bring this up because our Republic has some tough days ahead. Please don't fall for the propaganda that common sense is racism. Don't let the Extreme Media, or Extreme Democrat politicians try and tell you that we "Mainstreams" aren't doing enough, or paying enough. Don't be afraid to stand up. If our Republic is to survive this current Administration, then we'll need allot more folks to stand up. We are the mainstream.

fredd/Guillermo,

And what do you have that I could possibly covet?

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sun, Dec 6, 2009, at 10:32 PM

But they didn't say with love, as I would. Surely you know that.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sun, Dec 6, 2009, at 2:50 PM

Only I call you Iggy, short for ignoramus.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sat, Dec 5, 2009, at 3:32 PM

There are 2 people who call Sam, "sham/Sham", you and fredd.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sat, Dec 5, 2009, at 3:12 PM

I take that back, fredd is Guillermo.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sat, Dec 5, 2009, at 1:29 PM

fredd is nothing more than a smart aleck kid who discovered copy/paste.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sat, Dec 5, 2009, at 11:14 AM

Your the only Wacko here fredd.

-- Posted by orville on Fri, Dec 4, 2009, at 4:27 PM

Actually fredd, satan is the liberal. It is satan that opens the door to lust (homosexuality, greed, envy, revenge, and etc.). It is satan that leads man and woman to murder (see lust). It is satan that promotes the worship of idols like money and sex (again see lust). It is satan that convinces man and woman that sin is OK. Hmm, much like liberalism.

Jesus is the opposite of sin.

I recall Christ saying turn the other cheek. I do not recall him saying, bend over, grab your ankles, and take what ever evil wants to give you.

Jesus was no liberal. You are right Sam, these guys really do hate don't they?

-- Posted by Leo.Pold on Wed, Nov 25, 2009, at 4:38 PM

Fredd - What qualifies you to decide how a Christian should act?

You would prefer Christians remain weak and refuse to fight so that your leftists gods, like Obama, can rob us blind.

That is not gonna happen there robot Fredd. I actually prefer Christians who stand up for their beliefs, rather than those who wring their hands and take crap off of liberal dingleberries.

-- Posted by sameldridge on Tue, Nov 24, 2009, at 7:20 PM

Thanks Sam for speaking the facts. That is why these liberals get so angry.

Gee Willikers Batman! Truth is truth. Speak it, and let truth do its thing.

Personally, I think Fred and Guillermo are nuts.

Hubby and I like it here in the mainstream with you.

To Res Jus, I am not a Sam apologist, I happen to believe his comments are usually right on the mark. I share Sam's concern about the severe left turn our government has taken with a hard core leftist ideologue as President.

Duffy, I think you are being crude on purpose, and I can understand it. The liberals are certainly full of rage, ready to smear or distort in a moments notice. I do not mind your indelicate manner, but the liberals will use it to justify even more execration. I suppose you know that already.

It wasn't even Hank's review, it belonged to the AP. They sent out 11 "fact checkers" to comb Sarah's book (none for BHO's books), and really found no actual lies. In fact, all of the errors the supposidly found reenforced what Sarah said.

Do you think HerndonHank kicks his dog a good one before he goes to bed a night? Hank, your review of Sarah Palin's book, was pitiful. I reckon you prefer your women to have more hair on their legs than you do.

I saw a picture of a sign that was in front of a Mexican food restaurant. The sign said: FREE Nobel Peace Prize with each order of smothered Burritos.

Wow, Carl Leibowitz quoting Billy Madison? I guess the mind does have limits.

You better get back the wash machine, pukelosi punk. You really need a clean purple t-shirt tomorrow! You know the one, it has great big letters that say SEIU!!!

How very patronizing of you, Carlissimo!!!!

God bless the pizza delivery kid! Don't choke on the pepperoni, boy! (whole or sliced)

Maybe they should call it the "Papa Obama's Gonna Take Care of You" act!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 9:42 PM

Here it is! The ''Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act'' 2074 pages of Reid and Obaba's current effort to nationalize over 20% of the United States GDP! I wonder why they didn't call it "Mein Kampf"? Oh, I forgot, that name is already taken!

Is it true the PC'ers want to paint the White House mauve for that December "Holiday" and call it the Mauve House because "White" has racial connotations?

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 9:32 PM

And Hank, old boy, if Clinton was so damn good, how come we didn't get the cuckquean elected?

After all, she had experience running the White House!

At least she had the stones to call out the Pakistanis while nature boy was raising funds for his liberal buddies!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 9:23 PM

WOW!!!! What a speech!!!Keep it up Iggy, you are approaching the level of arrogance of your mamma, Pukelosi!

I am truly sorry I talked about shoe-shining in the same zip code as your rockstar-in-chief. Actually, shoe-shining probably requires some skill, as opposed to "community organizing." After all, any dummy can set in a library and make up names and fill out voter registration cards. Or pass out cards by the dozen and remind the folks not to use the same name on all of them. Or march in front of a bank, insisting they loan money for buying a house to someone who has no chance of paying it off if it was no-interest and 100 years worth of payments! Yeah, shoe-shining requires more skill than that!

Call me names, then insult the developmently disabled, support the genocide of thousands of babies, and call the end of a war "terrorism," while pissing on the graves of all who died in the Pacific War! The standards are a little skewed in your direction, pukelosi punk! You're not Iggy anymore, you are pukelosi punk!

And Hank, when are you gonna get over the hometown newspapers going broke. Gee, that really strikes a nerve, don't it? WAAHHHHHH, the republicans ate your herndon news!!! Maybe you need to save some of the really large newspapers that have gone away or going away! Over 10% unemployment and you piss and moan because you can't read the gossip from south of Beverly!!! (you probably don't even remember that!) Didn't our rockstar-in-chief predict that he could keep unemployment under 8% if only he could print money faster? If you don't like the war, tell your procrastinator-in-chief to GET OUR PEOPLE THE F**K OUT OF THERE!!!!! Sure won't hurt my feelings! If you and Iggy are so damn smart and influential, get it done!!!!

When are you two going to admit that the rockstar hasn't done a damn thing besides talk, lie, print money, and jet around the world apologizing for America? Damn, three more years of this crap!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 9:12 PM

G.I.,

I can't decide if you are attempting to have a legitimate discussion with duffer or simply instigating him for the fun of it ("feeding the trolls" in Internet slang). Either way, I am thoroughly entertained.

-- Posted by jhat on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 4:04 PM

Hey Duffus,

Today in the U.S. Congress, two ultra Neo Con represenatives demanded a Cabinet officer resign because they disagree.

Typical of Neo Cons, such as Ol' Duffus.

As a more than slightly senior conservative myself, I have the experience to recognize legitimate conservatives and knee-jerk bigoted Neo Cons such as the full-of-himself Duffus.

You will undoubtedly consider it taking unfair advantage, but I would remind you that Reagan/Bush had CONTROL for 16 years -- delivering the U.S., Nebraska and other states' farmers into economic disaster, directed the S&L nightmare [With one Bush son in the middle of it], wiping out tens of thousands of small businesses and entire rural towns [500 community newspapers closed in Iowa alone], shutting down U.S. timber, oil exploration and mining.

That liberal sex fiend, Bill Clinton, only steered the nation out of the Reagan/Bush recession, trimmed the federal payroll and budget drastically, eliminated the GOP deficits and actually paid off some of the debt, while trimming tens of thousands of pages out of the accumulated mass of federal regulations.

Then we had eight more years of GOP control.

Hiding behind the Patriot Act, Bush/Cheney totally disregarded constitutional rights and moved to establish maximum control over everyone's daily lives. They gave us two wars, each of which has endured for more months than WWII and WWI combined, mismanaged both to the extreme, tossed your tax dollars to their cronies with abandon and ran the Ship of State aground, with the help of their banking and Wall Street cronies.

And Ol' Duffus continues spewing his bigotry and venom in all directions, claiming he is one of the few real Americans.

A reasonable person might suggest you start by reading and carefully analyzing the Constitution.

It couldn't hurt you to read Thomas Payne's "Common Sense Papers" -- Ben Franklin's, Thomas Jefferson's and John Adams collective writings.

Congressman David Crockett had a couple of "backwoods logic" speeches which make pretty good sense to most folks - but considering your supreme confidence in your own infalibility -- probably not.

-- Posted by HerndonHank on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 3:27 PM

Why did you go to all that trouble, Iggy, to get another chance to label me what you had already decided long ago?? Who are you trying to convince, yourself????? If you think your names and labels have some kind of meaning to me, you are delusional or demented, or both!

How is the weather on narcissism street?????

How do you have room for pizza when you are so full of yourself??

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 3:13 PM

WOW! That's a high standard!

It really is pathetic of you to think that anyone other than you and your circle of elites are capable of, or entitled to, an independent thought!!! That is the core of the problem with you left-wing punks! You think you are far better at making decisions for us than we are capable of doing for ourselves! Then you surround yourselves with ignorant, dependent people, with promises of a better life and everything-for-nothing, to support your agenda. And as your power grows, you gain more control of society and the economy, until you control all!!

Sound kind of familiar????? Instead of reading Palin and FRANKEN, you might check out a history book!!! Then read a newspaper!!!!

God bless pizza-delivery where you live!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 3:07 PM

Congratulations! You get the Nobel prize for jumping to conclusions!!!! When will you pass a course in remedial reading? I didn't call the rock star a shoe shine boy! I said I wouldn't choose him to shine my shoes (nor anything else for that matter)!!! What, If I don't want to have lunch with Barney Frank, I am a gay-basher? If I bash a left-wing looney, I am a ditto-head? What is it with you punks and your addiction to political labeling? Is there a Freudian explanation for this?

As for Palin putting herself on display to be scrutinized and writing a book????? Is there a sin to that? If there is then there is a long list of left-wing wackouts that do that every day and at least twice on Sunday!! I would like to give a shout-out to our buddy AL FRANKEN as a leader in that field! Or Charley Rangel, or Jesse Jacka** Jackson, or the above-mentioned Barney Frank. OF COURSE, they have the MSM and C-Span as a free medium to spew their BS! And if you have spent your precious time to read her book, so you can pass judgement on it, SO WHAT?? If she is bashing Republicans, I would think you would eat that s**t up!!!!

As for me giving you a reason for disliking BHO, refer to the above remedial reading class, then go back and slowly read my posts! I think I have covered that pretty well!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 2:38 PM

Must have been a Fruedian slip!!!

However, I am not breaking the 11th Commandment! I am speaking ill of a fellow democrat! What, you can't be a democrat and a conservative???? MY BAD!!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 2:03 PM

And why do you continually insist on dragging Sarah Palin through the mud?? I thought you punks did enough of that during the campaign!! Sarah Palin would not be my choice for much of anything. Even more so, the rockstar-in-chief would not rise above my choice to shine my shoes. Is she passing any legislation that increases the debt? Is she printing money as fast as the presses can run? Is she killing any babies? Is she doing her damnest to control and nationalize private enterprises? Is she trying to cram a trillion dollar health bureaucracy down our throats? Is she appointing criminals, Maoists, taxdodgers, and folks who don't want to give jobs to "white construction workers" to positions in national government? Is she playing jet-setter while a general waits for her to decide if she wants to fight a war or f**k around? I think not!!! I think we face more threats from Obamanation than from Sarah!

You punks need to quit worrying about a woman who has done nothing to you and start worrying about current events!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 1:58 PM

Reagen's 11th amendment??? Damn, I knew he was old but I can't believe he was around in 1794????

Or, do you piss and moan because he used the 11th amendment in defending himself????

And this from one who thinks its OK to try the prisoners of war in open, public court? Who insists that our legal system is iron-clad??

The laws and Constitution are only for those chosen by the left????

Woe be to those "bottom-feeding Conservatives" who want protection under the law!!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 1:41 PM

"this person is an enormously fake, temperamental person, who is seriously stupid when it comes to print media and geography."

You mean like Nancy Pukelosi???????

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 1:24 PM

You do the admiring for both of us!

As for aborting yourself, that's the best idea I have seen you propose yet!!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 1:18 PM

In other words, we need a king, or an ayatollah, or a mullah, or a chairman, or a fuhrer, or an emperor??? And all we get is a community organizer???????

And the quote?? Easy!!!! YOUR MAMA!!!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 1:07 PM

Great answer!!!! His lies are better than other lies! At least you admit that Obama lies! Progress made!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 12:30 PM

And then the rockstar-in-chief announces that the 9/11 mastermind will be convicted and executed!!!

I can hear the defense lawyer now!

"Judge Judy, I can't get a fair trial for my client! The Jury pool is tainted! After all, the most powerful community organizer in the world has announced that my client is guilty and should be executed! We will need to move the trial to Lebanon, where I can get a "fair and balanced" Jury!"

Maybe we should have sent Mohammed to Fort Hood last month. He would have fit right in!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 12:26 PM

"To ensure the vitality, the strength and the stability of our economy going forward, we must bring our system of financial regulation into the 21st century," Geithner said in remarks prepared for an appearance Thursday before the Joint Economic Committee.

This dumba** can't figure out TurboTax, but he is going to oversee the continuing nationalization of the financial system???

Does anyone in the ObamaNation have more than monkeys**t for brains?????

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 12:08 PM

And then, there is Nancy Pukealosi, gushing from the podium about giving a "present" to us by Christmas (yes "Christmas", not "the Holiday"). Well, if its all the same to her, I would rather get a sweater that don't fit than a lump of debt!

What is really hard for us stupid middle-class conservatives to understand is how you can support a moron like her, a bigger moron like Reid, or a liar in the white house?????

How about it Iggy, give me one of your elequent "dodge the point" answers to that???

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 12:03 PM

The problem with liars is they have to keep telling new lies to cover up old lies! Hence, jobs created in places that don't even exist! What's next, voters that don't even exist? Oh wait, ACORN has already done that!!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 11:35 AM

Yeah, like we are too stupid to figure out jobs created in districts that do not even exist! Like we are too stupid to understand why they don't want to give jobs to "white construction workers." Like, according to Charley Doofus Rangel, we will be too busy to notice!!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 11:20 AM

"You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are beyond apologies, lies, procrastination, tax-cheating, Mao-worshiping, and baby killing! That's the sign post up ahead, your next stop...The ObamaZone!"

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 9:23 AM

Or paying for a stimulus based on no intelligence!!!

-- Posted by dufferxyz on Thu, Nov 19, 2009, at 8:47 AM

What a horrible thought.

For the 2012 election year -- Bristol's ex as the reigning king of nude art; Bristol and Mommy Dearest debating abstinence as opposed to sex education and contraceptives; at least one of the younger daughters old enough to present Granny with another unmarried teen daughter situation; First Dude possibly winning a snow machine race, maybe even someone from the 2008 McCain team having a kind word to say about his V.P. running mate.

WOW!!

Will Rogers rather famously stated back before 1928 --

"I'm not a member of any organized political party, I'm a Democrat."

Circa 2009 -- Will would have to switch party affiliation to hang onto the brag of not being a member of an organized political party.

Sam is probably turning six shades of scarlet because of the latest announcement from Beijing, that the Chinese leaders have agreed to accelerate actual climate change action up to next month in Singapore.

That's not support on Iran or N. Korea, it's is not raising the Chinese currency to a proper value so their goods cost more on the world market -- but it is agreement on a major item.

Of course, that will mean the Neo Cons will say that is because Obama is getting the Communists to go along with him.

Except that doesn't play so well with the Bush family Chinese Import/Export Licensing monopoly corporations having major stock participation among the ruling families of China.

Wonder how that plays out -- Billionaire Communist Capitalists. Almost as confusing as Republican politics these days.

fredd,

Must be First Dude -- sitting out there in the Bering Sea in that open whale boat identified as his commercial fishing boat during the campaign.

Every commercial Alaskan Fishing Boat I'd seen were on the lines of a three and four man 45-60 footer minimum, with masts, seine and long-line rigging, fully enclosed deck house and bridge -- with galley, bunks and iced storage for several tons of fish, squid, shrimp or whatever is in season.

When we got a TV report with the family, including the then governor in "Hoodie," jeans and gum boots around that open rowboat-- WOW!!!

Septic,

Old floater.

Thanks to the Bushes a vast share of U.S. farmland is now in the hands of multi-national conglomerate corporations -- Banks, Insurance Companies and investment syndicates.

Remember those 1980s farm auctions?

You declare Obama will take land away from farmers.

There isn't anything left to take.

Right now -- 2009 - moving to the 2010 crop year, there aren't enough American Farmers to operate the land -- even with the available mechanization.

Farmers are using every time, fuel and labor saving technique possible, millions of acres of rangeland have been converted to bison production by Ted Turner and others -- and there is still a huge shortage of Managing Farmers and farm labor.

You berate the immigrant latino workers who are absolutely essential for many farmers and food processors to continue in business.

For mixed vegetables, strawberries, grapes and tree crops -- without the immigrant Latino workers, production would be forced overseas.

Custom harvesters working through western Nebraska twice every summer and autumn are relying more and more on South African, Australia, New Zealand and European workers, coming in with seasonal green cards.

But ol' sceptic wants to keep spilling his bile and blaming everyone he dislikes politically.

Keep telling us about how your modern Republican Party is the party of high morals, family values and virtue, but review recent history first:

NIXON WHITE HOUSE --

The primary resident forced to resign or face certain impeachment -- for high crimes and misdemeanors;

The entire Senior Staff convicted of high crimes and misdemeanors and sent to prison;

The hand-picked Vice President convicted of official corruption and sent to prison;

DubYah Bush/Cheney:

DubYah himself, about 25 years as a serious alcoholic, through high school, college and through his involvement in the Texas Rangers:

Both Bush daughters cited for falsifying IDs, buying and consuming alcohol as teenagers.

Three Bush brothers -- two have signed legally-binding consent orders to never engage in regulated industries, DubYah blatantly profited from insider trading from selling his stock, after being charged with planning the legal collapse of Harkins Petroleum;

[Now there are some family values.]

Shotgun Cheney -- Publicly acknowledged his Lesbian daughter only after winning election.

John McCain -- Forget the early irresponsible history -- jump to his first wife and mother of his sons, who stood by him through Hell and back -- McCain walked into her Cancer Ward room and handed her divorce papers -- returning to his young blond beer-heiress mistress in Hawaii;

Sarah Palin -- accepted the selection to run for vice president, knowing her oldest single daughter was pregnant. Since then, the Palin story reads more like a soap opera than anything seen in public life before. Now "Daddy Levi" has signed to pose for PLAYGIRL-full frontal no less.

Those are the people you wanted to elect.

Yessir, the party of family values.

Sceptre -- "demonstrators from Ethiopia, in a peaceable manner, objecting to Obama giving that totalitarian country money."

The money going to Ethiopia is from DubYah's last budget and appropriated during his presidency.

That peaceful demonstration would better have been conducted at Crawford, Texas.

Your ignorance of facts is exceeded only by your blind bigotry and irrationality.

WHEN CONGRESS APPROVES A BUDGET AND THE SITTING PRESIDENT SIGNS THE BILL, or CONGRESS APPROVES FUNDS FOR ANY COUNTRY AND THE SITTING PRESIDENT APPROVES IT -- Responsibility for those actions fall upon the Congress and president signing their bill.

A succeeding president must honor that, like it or not.

But then, Sceptre, you would have to shine your own shoes and clean your own toilet.

You clearly have no concept of responsible debate and discussion. Some us learned early in life on the farms and ranches that to distribute organic barnyard fertilizer, a tractor front loader and a conventional manure spreader work best.

You seem to prefer your computer keyboard.

fredd,

There is a big, thick black line dividing the ignorant (those who don't know the difference between right and wrong), and the stupid (those who do know the difference and choose to be wrong).

Jesus didn't just believe in health care, He WAS health care. He didn't wait for the people's political leaders to fret about how to do it, He DID it Himself. Having you tell us to read the Holy Bible after reading your statement, you fall in the stupid category.

In the case of the CIA employee, Valerie Plame, she was "outed" by Richard Armitage of the State Department, during an interview with Robert Novak. This little tidbit of new has been out there for all to hear. Again, stupid.

As for your Sarah Palin comments, I am sorry my friend, you fall into the HerndonHank category.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sat, Nov 14, 2009, at 11:24 PM

Sorry boys,

Palin is an embarrassment to everything American.

Anyone who would produce a memoir so riddled with clear and obvious BS is beyond help.

It hasn't even been released yet and casual inspection of "editor's copies" has already revealed glaring factual errors -- of monumental proportions.

Palin is delusional.

The major factor here is that the book will produce more net profit for the Palin family than they would normally expect to see in two lifetimes, even winning every one of the First Dude's races.

After hearing repeatedly of the family commercial fishing boat, it is doubtful if the first photos of that open whaleboat will ever go away.

Fortunately, I can remember really solid Republican officials -- Virginia's Richard Poff,

Clare Boothe Luce, Curtis of Nebraska, Ohio's Robert Taft, Senator Vandenburg of Michigan and so many others deserving of the title of statesmen -- not just politicians.

Those of us who were Republicans before the DixieCrats were so ardently embraced by National GOP leadership -- at least have our memories.

But this joke -- I cannot erase the image of a girl who had a free ride to higher education thanks to her parents and state educational subsidies -- Seven different moves through four campuses to finally get a minimalist degree in journalism and become a sport/weather girl on a small Alaska tv station.

Now a published bio, intended to position her for another national election run, and it is so full of airheaded fantasy as to humiliate her honest conservative backers.

As Lloyd Bentsen told Danny Quayle, "....You ain't no John Kennedy."

Tragically, Palin ain't no Clare Boothe Luce.

Katy Couric was savaged by her peers for a marshmallow interview, offering 'patty-cake" questions and repeatedly giving Palin opportunities to bail herself out of idiocies --- Palin remembers Couric as being mean.

What would she have thought of Walter Kronkite?

Kronkite, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Ed Murrow or Drew Pearson would have stripped her bare and sent her off camera in tears.

Bob Woodward would have become Attila the Hun in her eyes.

Katy Couric was mean!!!

And Palin is proud that she has a Journalism degree.

THE FACTS: Liberals will tell you who conservatives should pick as their political opposition by how much vitriol they spew against said individual.

If Hank REALLY believed that Palin would be a disaster for advancing conservative ideals; and if he REALLY wanted to forward Obama's agenda - he, along with the other libs, would wholeheartedly embrace Palin; and give her a wish of good luck.

"Obama and his old lady should both be working in the bus station; he should shine shoes while she cleans toilets.."

Nathan Bedford Forest must be smiling just a mite as he shovels coal down below.

After all the super-patriot spewing, the underlying racism and bigotry is on display. Judging from the time posted, I suspect someone might have been bending an elbow.

Otherwise, let us hope Sceptre would not have been so addle-pated as to lay his true core doctrine so fully on the line.

Maybe Sam can explain Sceptre's midnight post.

Hey Leo Pold, Haven't seen your pix around here.

As photos, I ain't got no Halliburton Cap.

Found this review of required reading for you Neo con folks. Hope you'll forgive me trimming it down some -- you can find the whole thing elsewhere.

A look at some of her statements in "Going Rogue," obtained by The Associated Press in advance of its release Tuesday:

----------------------------------

Palin criticizes President Obama for pushing through a bailout package that actually was achieved by his Repub. predecessor George W. Bush -- a package she seemed to support at the time.

--------_

PALIN: Says she made frugality a point when traveling on state business as Alaska governor, asking "only" for reasonably priced rooms and not "often" going for the "high-end, robe-and-slippers" hotels.

THE FACTS:Palin and daughter Bristol stayed FIVE DAYS AND FOUR NIGHTS at the $707.29-per-night Essex House luxury hotel (robes and slippers come standard) overlooking New York City's Central Park for a FIVE HOUR women's leadership conference in October 2007. With air fare, the cost to Alaska was well over $3,000. Event organizers said Palin asked if she could bring her daughter. The governor billed her state more than $20,000 for her children's travel, including to events where they had not been invited, and in some cases later amended expense reports to specify that they had been on official business.

-------------------------

PALIN: Boasts that she ran her campaign for governor on small donations.....

THE FACTS: Of the roughly $1.3 million she raised for her primary and general election campaigns for governor, more than half came from people and political action committees giving at least $500, according to an AP analysis of her campaign finance reports. The maximum that individual donors could give was $1,000; $2,000 for a PAC.

Of the rest, about $76,000 came from Republican Party committees.

She accepted $1,000 each from a state senator and his wife in the weeks after the two Republican lawmakers' offices were raided by the FBI as part of an investigation into a powerful Alaska oilfield services company. After AP reported those donations during the presidential campaign, she said she would give a comparative sum to charity after the general election in 2010, a date set by state election laws.

--------------------------------

PALIN: Rails against taxpayer-financed bailouts, which she FALSELY attributes to Obama. She recounts telling daughter Bristol that to succeed in business, "you'll have to be brave enough to fail."

THE FACTS: Palin is blurring the lines between Obama's stimulus plan -- a $787 billion package of tax cuts, state aid, social programs and government contracts -- and the federal bailout that Republican presidential candidate John McCain voted for and President George W. Bush signed.

Palin's views on bailouts appeared to evolve as McCain's vice presidential running mate. In September 2008, she said "taxpayers cannot be looked to as the bailout, as the solution, to the problems on Wall Street." A week later, she said "ultimately what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy."

During the vice presidential debate in October, Palin praised McCain for being "instrumental in bringing folks together" to pass the $700 billion bailout. After that, she said "it is a time of crisis and government did have to step in."

-----------------------------------

PALIN: Says Ronald Reagan faced an even worse recession than the one that appears to be ending now, and "showed us how to get out of one. If you want real job growth, cut capital gains taxes and slay the death tax once and for all."

THE FACTS: The estate tax, which some call the death tax, was not repealed under Reagan and capital gains taxes are lower now than when Reagan was president.

Economists overwhelmingly say the current recession is far worse. The recession Reagan faced lasted for 16 months; this one is in its 23rd month. The recession of the early 1980s did not have a financial meltdown. Unemployment peaked at 10.8 percent, worse than the October 2009 high of 10.2 percent, but the jobless rate is still expected to climb.

----------------------

PALIN: She says her team overseeing the development of a natural gas pipeline set up an open, competitive bidding process that allowed any company to compete for the right to build a 1,715-mile pipeline to bring natural gas from Alaska to the Lower 48.

THE FACTS: Palin characterized the pipeline deal the same way before an AP investigation found her team crafted terms that favored only a few independent pipeline companies and ultimately benefited a company with ties to her administration, TransCanada Corp. Despite promises and legal guidance not to talk directly with potential bidders during the process, Palin had meetings or phone calls with nearly every major candidate, including TransCanada.

-------------------

PALIN: Criticizes an aide to her predecessor, Gov. Frank Murkowski, for a conflict of interest because the aide represented the state in negotiations over a gas pipeline and then left to work as a handsomely paid lobbyist for ExxonMobil. Palin asserts her administration ended all such arrangements, shoving a wedge in the revolving door between special interests and the state capital.

THE FACTS: Palin ignores her own "revolving door" issue in office; the leader of her own pipeline team was a former lobbyist for a subsidiary of TransCanada, the company that ended up winning the rights to build the pipeline.

----------------------------------------

PALIN: Writes about a city councilman in Wasilla, Alaska, who owned a garbage truck company and tried to push through an ordinance requiring residents of new subdivisions to pay for trash removal instead of taking it to the dump for free -- this to illustrate conflicts of interest she stood against as a public servant.

THE FACTS: As Wasilla mayor, Palin pressed for a special zoning exception so she could sell her family's $327,000 house, then did not keep a promise to remove a potential fire hazard on the property.

----------------------------

She asked the city council to loosen rules for snow machine races when she and her husband owned a snow machine store, and cast a tie-breaking vote to exempt taxes on aircraft when her father-in-law owned one. But she stepped away from the table in 1997 when the council considered a grant for the Iron Dog snow machine race in which her husband competes.

-----------------------

PALIN: Says Obama has admitted that the climate change policy he seeks will cause people's electricity bills to "skyrocket."

THE FACTS: She correctly quotes a comment attributed to Obama in January 2008, when he told San Francisco Chronicle editors that under his cap-and-trade climate proposal, "electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket" as utilities are forced to retrofit coal burning power plants to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Obama has argued since then that climate legislation can blunt the cost to consumers. Democratic legislation now before Congress calls for a variety of measures aimed at mitigating consumer costs. Several studies predict average household costs probably would be $100 to $145 a year.

---------------------------------

PALIN: Welcomes last year's Supreme Court decision deciding punitive damages for victims of the nation's largest oil spill tragedy, the Exxon Valdez disaster, stating it had taken 20 years to achieve victory. As governor, she says, she'd had the state argue in favor of the victims, and she says the court's ruling went "in favor of the people." Finally, she writes, Alaskans could recover some of their losses.

THE FACTS: That response is at odds with her reaction at the time to the ruling, which resolved the long-running case by reducing punitive damages for victims to $500 million from $2.5 billion. Environmentalists and plaintiffs' lawyers decried the ruling as a slap at the victims and Palin herself said she was "extremely disappointed." She said the justices had gutted a jury decision favoring higher damage awards, the Anchorage Daily News reported. "It's tragic that so many Alaska fishermen and their families have had their lives put on hold waiting for this decision," she said, noting many had died "while waiting for justice."

------------------------

PALIN: Describing her resistance to federal stimulus money, Palin describes Alaska as a practical, libertarian haven of independent Americans who don't want "help" from government busybodies.

THE FACTS: Alaska is also one of the states most dependent on federal subsidies, receiving much more assistance from Washington than it pays in federal taxes. A study for the nonpartisan Tax Foundation found that in 2005, the state received $1.84 for every dollar it sent to Washington.

---------------------

PALIN: Says she tried to talk about national security and energy independence in her interview with Vogue magazine but the interviewer wanted her to pivot from hydropower to high fashion.

THE FACTS are somewhat in dispute. Vogue contributing editor Rebecca Johnson said Palin did not go on about hydropower. "She just kept talking about drilling for oil."

-----------

PALIN: "Was it ambition? I didn't think so. Ambition drives; purpose beckons." Throughout the book, Palin cites altruistic reasons for running for office, and for leaving early as Alaska governor.

THE FACTS: Few politicians own up to wanting high office for the power and prestige of it, and in this respect, Palin fits the conventional mold. But "Going Rogue" has all the characteristics of a pre-campaign manifesto, the requisite autobiography of the future candidate.

GI - your demonstration results in an attempt to pigeonhole Jesus, whom I previously demonstrated IS God. It would seem that you believe God is at YOUR service as opposed to the other way around.

Creation itself is a huge statement about how we are supposed to live in the world. Creation demonstrates forethought, purpose and order. And on the 7th day God rested. I suppose that WOULD count towards a leading example about how we should live in this world. (ya think it showing up in the Ten Commandments might have relevance?)

That aside - you are cherry picking the Gospel to suit your own purposes - one might assume you have your own rendevous with the Holy Spirit. It's clear that you wish others to adhere to the teachings of the Bible, yet hold yourself in indemnity. But if you wish to use the Gospel, then why don't you really get to the center of Christ's wishes for the conduct of humanity: Matthew22:36-40 36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Conservative principles don't condone misuse and abuse by anyone. Your blanket statement could easily be turned around on liberal ideology - and yet you tout to be above these types of conduct. The fact is, you can find misuse on both sides of the political aisle - so a word of caution to the bearers of rocks in houses of glass. I reject your premise that ANY war in the last three decades was about oil and greed. If it was - wouldn't we have control over the region, instead of not even having control over our OWN resources? Again, nice try.

Finally - I see you conveniently sidestepped the connection of conduct and Christ when it comes to the abortion issue - truly a liberal cornerstone. How exactly did Jesus condone the killing of innocent life? I'm sure your intense research of the scriptures can overturn a nugget on the issue. We're all waiting.

One could say sir; the Emperor has no clothes. In fact Sherlock - he's completely nekked!

Judging by the use of the tired of liberal cliche's, I'd say somebody lost the debate.

Very very well said Mickel.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sat, Nov 14, 2009, at 8:08 AM

Iggy,

Christian principles, give all you can, to whom ever needs it, from the love within your heart. Also known as Conservative principles.

Liberal principles, let the government take what it needs, and give to whom ever the votes (money) comes from.

-- Posted by Chunky Peanut Butter on Sat, Nov 14, 2009, at 8:07 AM

To take you to point GI -

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.

3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

According to scripture - Jesus IS God. God made the heavens and the earth instead of somebody handing it TO Him.

Clearly conservative principles completely devoid of liberal enabling.

Shall I continue? Are you seeing the picture yet?

If communal giving is such a liberal cornerstone - then why wouldn't more liberals be more giving of the most basic precept of humanity - one's very life. One only needs to look at the political divide of abortion to really dowse the truth from the nonsense.

Nice try though. You should definitely keep at reading the scriptures.

Hello, Sceptre. It's always fascinating to get a response from you. I was teasing Leo Pold a bit. I know that Marxism is about collective consciousness, and I find it amusing as well as inspiring that those who call themselves conservative on these blogs engage in a type of collective consciousness raising by the very act of engaging in these blogs. I don't think Marx could have/would have predicted that from you, Sceptre. It would please him to no end. Cheers. Res Just

You would attempt to silence your opponents with threats and playground taunts. You repesent the coarsening of society that is visible in all aspects of our daily lives.

Your thoughts would be welcome if not weakened by blustery inane sophmoric blather.

So sayeth the devout follower of B.S. Beck, Limburger, Clown Coulter, Daffy Drudge, Than Franthiithco Thavage, Hopeless Hannity and Way Outback Aussie Rupert Murdoch.

You cut and paste their website nonsense on here as if you had an original thought on the subject.

Then in standard right wing attack mode, you rant that I am an angry, bitter old man.

Grab a mirror, gearjammer.

This old man repeatedly voices confidence in this country and its people, with absolute confidence that at least 70% of all Americans want middle-of-the-road economic, political and social systems. {Try reading something besides the Neo-Con propaganda you adore.]

This OLD MAN is working 80 hours weekly, helping build communities, schools, houses and services.

I have never ranted that DUBYAH AND THE DRAFT DODGERS destroyed the country.

Seriously harmed the nation and the world, yes.

But this country and the human race has survived and progressed despite all the incompetent and clearly wicked rulers of history -- even before the Pharoahs of Moses' time, Nero and the other Roman despots, the Ottoman Empire, China's imperial dynasties, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, the Liberian and Sudanese, Congo and South African dictators, Sadaam and even "friendly" Middle East dictators.

Even in the tools of war, today's fighting men are far better prepared and equipped than those who died in Korea, Somalia, Viet Nam, Lebanon and the first Gulf War.

When "Dugout Doug" was pushing to cross the Yalu, the U.S. military's TOTAL inventory of hand grenades was stored in one Quonset Hut in Okinawa. Every hand grenade available and there were no production lines making more.

I never saw a weapon less than ten years old. Many of the BARs dated from 1912, Thompson's from 1930, light artillery pieces from 1942. Recoiless rifles, 75 and 105 mm, were the nearest thing to a modern weapon. [Big problem, the recoil blast out the rear would create a cloud of dust and snow, instantly marking your firing position.]

DOD Sec. Gates inspected a Wisconsin plant this week PRODUCING a new, faster, safer armored "truck" for our people in Afghanistan..less than a year after Pres. Obama took office.

I objected to privileged sanctuaries in Laos, Cambodia and China during the Viet Nam fight, to the restrictions against bombing Hanoi -- because a neutral or Soviet block ship might be hit.

That one had me living in Congressional hallways for a good portion of the time demanding the restrictions be lifted.

Our kids were dying under artillery fire from those privileged sanctuaries and tank attacks slashing in from less than three miles across the borders.

Hey, Leo.Pold -- my pony-tailed college professors were neo-conservatives who wore yellow power ties and danced to a mean Wall Street attitude that recently proved to be a disaster. Like you, I recognized that they had a message and like you, I was savvy enough to see beyond their extremely persuasive rhetoric. Isn't it great that we as college students could judge for ourselves that there's a lot of nonsense out there? Small business owners tend to be more conservative and that's fine, but it's important to recognize that liberal ideals make possible the existence of trade, individualism, creativity in business, and competition. Also, Marx would have applauded the "proletariat" in you, who, through the labor of his vision, creates something new and valid and interesting in the small business. It makes me sad to see how dissatisfied Sam is with his life in the United States, and I encourage you not to see the world through his lens and simply recognize that these binary oppositions of left/right or liberal/conservative are just silly and less than productive. Res Just

I must say that I agree with the author of this post wholeheartedly. Mainstream thought, or common sense, has been lost to the liberal world of new-speak and political correctness.

I have hesitated to answer some of your blogs Mr. Eldridge, because frankly, as a small business owner, I am too busy trying to make sure I can pay my employees, and survive this current radical administration.

However, I get tired of these political zombies acting like they have some moral authority with which to spew their hate at you. I was a little slow in recognizing just how much the left in this country does hate. They are the extreme, and you are so right that we conservatives are the mainstream. It is liberal thought that is extreme.

HerndonHank and Guillermo Inglaterra. I am tired of your mindless assaults. Why don't you two cowards quit hiding behind anonymity, put your picture up on this paper and start your own blog?

I would answer Carl's comments, but they are the same old tired Marxist crap I heard when I was in college. I was smart enough not to believe the rantings of pony-tailed professors, apparently Carl has swallowed every word.

That is some coalition against you Sam. An acerbic, sour old man, and some know-it-all sprouts. No worries mate.

Keep up the good work you main-streamer you.

-- Posted by Leo.Pold on Thu, Nov 12, 2009, at 7:49 PM

Sam,

So according to you, if someone claims to be a Christian and they do something bad they are not actually a christian. But if someone claims to be a muslim and does something bad...they are a what they say they are.

That's a perfect example of a logical fallacy.

And if you haven't heard muslims condemning these acts then you have your head in the sand. Futhermore, they shouldn't have to condemn these things. Its common sense. You are white, you are christian, you are a trucker. You should not have to publicly explain that not all truck drivers are white christians.

I did not say I've heard one person in McCook use the n word, I said i've heard more than I could count off the top of my head. Moreover, saying mccook is a racist community doesn't mean everyone in mccook is racist. There are mining communities in west virginia, but not all people in west virginia are miners.

And if you truly see no difference between a black person and a white person using that word in this day and age, you have zero social consciousness.

-- Posted by mccookreader on Thu, Nov 12, 2009, at 7:49 PM

McCookReader - Don't get high and mighty with me. You labeled an entire Community racist (McCook) because you heard one guy use the N-Word. I hear the N-Word all the time. In Chicago, Houston, Philly, and other big cities, I heard the N-word constantly, from black guys.

You're example was silly. There are no Christians, that I am aware of who are gunning down Army personnel, or flying planes into buildings, or using suicide bombers to kill children in pizza joints.

There have been some people, claiming to be Christian, before they shot down abortionists. I don't agree with that, and have said so, along with millions of Christians. Just where are the millions of Islamics condemning any act of terrorism?

Hank, you are a fool. I don't hate Barack Obama, I hate MARXISM. Try and get that through your thick head. You spend hours and hours looking up facts about bad Republicans. If you were at all intellectually honest, you'd know that it is liberalism, in both parties that is causing problems for America. You are stuck in your hate, because life hasn't been fair to poor ole Hank. Tough BLEEP Hank. Try and man up and deal with it. But don't come on here with your extreme hatred, and try and label me. Between the two of us, only one guy has demonstrated hate, and that is you.

My father has served his country, I have, my son has, many of my family members have served, and we have heroes in our family. Heroes that died so you could rail against the unfairness of it all. I choose to honor their memory. You choose to sit in self pity and hatred.

I have to agree with Candy Kilroy. She told you the other day that she recognized an angry bitter old man when she heard one. Right on the money.

Just because you are full of hate, that is not going to stop me from speaking out against you extremists. I am concerned for my country all right, and if you could stop your hatred, you might even be able to see the light.

-- Posted by sameldridge on Thu, Nov 12, 2009, at 7:07 PM

Sam,

What'n'ell am I supposed to be envious of?

Not you, by any means.

I repeat, my problem with rich young draft dodgers starts with those who grow up to be old, incompetent WAR HAWKS - eager to send as many poor kids into combat as possible.

That includes at least two from within my own family -- Both of whom don't like me much anymore because I have declared their hypocrisy before the assembled families.

[Kind of embarrassing, standing before fifty relatives, declaring "We're gonna go in there and kick Sadaam's tail."

Only to have "kin" who served and fought call attention to the fact that the 2003 HAWK had cut and run, buying an Air National Guard slot during the Viet Nam years, just months before his draft number was to be called.

Just as I laugh at the envy and hatred displayed by you and your brethren toward Barack Obama.

It is obvious you are unaware that the Obama's finished paying off both of their student loans --just three years before he entered the presidential race. Actually, I don't think those facts make a bit of difference to you.

You are too busy hating.

How did they get their educations -- by working and saving money, through MERIT scholarships earned in competition with all other applicants, with part-time jobs during the school years and with student loans available to every qualified student who properly applied.

They did not have a "legacy" to an Ivy League campus, after attending an expensive New England Prep School. They did not have a "legacy" to one of the nation's military academies, based solely upon a father's STAR and a grandfathers' STAR.

They earned the right to attend top universities and earned highest honors upon graduating.

Neither graduated anywhere near the bottom of the class.

And some Certified Rectal Orifice dares compare his GED or J.C. certificate with either of their academic credentials.

Envious Sam -- Why the blazes would anyone with any serious accomplishment in life and any common sense be envious of those who are consumed with fear for "Their Country."

Hey, it's my country just as well. I have served and bled for the honor to say it is my country. I'll be damned if any fear-mongering hater is going to tell me this country is endangered because an intelligent, highly-educated, rational man with mixed-race heritage is providing leadership emphasizing moderation, common sense and long-term sustainability.

Your kind of thinking is the greatest danger this nation faces -- Spinning fantasy into threats, placing the likes of your Broadcasting Idols in the role of dieties.

What is truly laughable is the simple reality you will not even attempt to research any of the facts I have written here and attempt to refute them.

Why?

We both know it is because I can prove my facts and you cannot prove your claims and charges or substantiate any of your baseless charges and attack methods.

-- Posted by HerndonHank on Thu, Nov 12, 2009, at 4:52 PM

On the Fort Hood tip,

Sam, if a Christian walked into a grocery store, shot up a group of people, and claimed it was in the name of God... would you call him a Christian Terrorist?

Terrorists are terrorists. Religion is trivial. Look at the death toll Timothy McVeigh tallied, and he was not muslim. Moreover, if you claim you are mainstream it does not make you so. Just like a islamic terroist could claim to be muslim; but claims don't make it so.

Hank, try and relax ole boy. I only drive 62 miles an hour, and only sometimes am I at full weight. Maybe you should keep a Valium salt lick next to your computer. Take a big ole lick whenever some truth gets ya all riled up. Perhaps you won't keep on with these extreme points of view.

Try and be more mainstream Hank. Your dislike for anyone that has a few bucks more than you is extreme. I feel your pain Hank. Dawg gone it, there was no Senators son next to you in Korea. Gee Whiz, that's just an awful shame, now GET OVER IT BRO!

Your a bit long in the tooth to to be engaged in this extreme envy.

Carl,

I think you may have some moxy, I just wish you would try and show it a bit more. Stop listening to Marxists professors, and please try and think for yourself. If we went to Iraq for oil, as you said, then why didn't we take it?

C'mon Carl, you are better than this. There has already been in the neighborhood of a seven trillion dollar transfer of wealth from the producers to the non-producers since the Great Society, and you liberals, you extremists, still complain about poverty.

Since you like to end your comments with God Bless America, I'd like to ask you why He should?

SWNEB Transplant - I am truly glad that Michael Hendricks admitted that he is not mainstream. I agree with Michael, he is not mainstream. I am.

Dinasaur,

Buddy, I appreciate your comments. If you notice, the left responds on here with allot of hatred and anger. It's all they have. They know they are extreme, and they justify their hate with all the indoctrination (educational abuse) that they have endured in the school systems. Conservatism is mainstream, liberalism is a mental disorder.

Monte, Mickel, and Sceptre - Thanks !

Keep it up - you are scaring the heck out of the left wing. Don't give up. Global warming has not been proven for anything other that a way for some crook to get in our pockets. I attended a tea party and that makes me an extremist. Don't think so. Watching obummer makes me want to puke. Hang in there. Maybe some of the left wingers will eventually wake up or the muslims will take them out.

I have to applaud Hank...out of the thousands of government boondoggles, he's managed to find 2 that probably belong to Republicans. Congrats, Hank, that must have taken an awful lot of work considering how vast the store of Democratic boondoggles are by now.

Of course, you did mess up one minor fact...all the Republican programs had an ending point. Where exactly is the end point of the War on Poverty (the one that now has millions of obese poor complaining about the cost of broadband internet and the gas for their SUV or Caddy)? What about Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security? (Well, Social Security might actually die...)

Democrats can scream endlessly about the money spent for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but the fact remains that a bipartisan Congress OK'd those wars, OK'd the budgets...and both wars will eventually end, at which point the expense ends.

Too bad so many Democratic programs can't end without bankrupting our country and destroying our liberty completely.

SAM,

In the vast array on unknowledge received through the empty miles hanging onto that steering wheel -- with B.S. Beck, Limburger, Clown Coulter, Daffy Drudge, Than Franthiithco Thavage, Hopeless Hannity and Way Outback Aussie Rupert Murdoch as you divine guides -- us mere mortals are left howling with merriment.

Yours is an unknowledge matched only by your ego.

"I Am The Mainstream" sweeps beyond being merely ludicrous. How do you say NY 23rd?

Seriously, you have truly become self delusional.

That there has been mismanagement with SSI is without question.

Back in the 70s, Rural State representatives managed to pass an amendment which allowed Senior Citizen farmers and ranchers full SSI benefits by paying less than than two years of contributions based on an "Average Farmer's Net Income."

My father being the astute Class One Farmer/Rancher and businessman he was, immediately sent SSI a check for that entire contribution -- CONSIDERABLY LESS THAN $4,000. Since he was already beyond retirement age, he applied for and received the full SSI check every month for his remaining quarter century.

This was a 100% Republican revision.

I would agree without question that America's farmers and ranchers earned more than that monthly SSI payment while selling at a manipulated-by-the-buyers "Wholesale" and buying all their needs at an equally manipulated-by-the-sellers "Retail."

But attempting to even the scales via SSI was a huge mistake, as Congress and Richard Nixon knowingly created a massive unfunded mandate, with millions of unplanned SSI recipients.

Sam, this was not a LIBERAL act, it was Good Ol' Country Boy Republicans -- Conservatives and Moderates -- in full throttle.

Then, in 1984, Republican Sec. of Agriculture Block designed the "Plow Under Program."

Sign up in the spring, Plow Under your '84 crop and do not even plant an '85 crop, and Uncle Sam will pay you -- The Farmer -- a high percentage for average yields in your region for both years. Something like 75% of average yields.

Eastern Washington had a total drought wipeout of their wheat crop that spring when Block announced the Plow Under Program. "Technical" rules in the program allowed most East Washington farmers to collect and they were not required to turn a disc plow swath.

Within less than a week, more than 99% of all wheat acreage in that region had been signed up.

Older farmers began packing for two-year vacations, more than a few taking the first vacation of their 60-70-80 year lives. Their sons and daughters and their young families departed for city jobs.

Virtually every business district in every small farm town in that region disappeared almost overnight.

The economic devastation was staggering.

Even the larger communities were crippled severely.

Short sighted economic lunacy -- Without a doubt.

LIBERAL --- Nope -- purely Republican.

When the Bush Family Presidents -- G.H.W. Bush and G.DubYah Bush created somewhere in excess of 80% of our current national debt, did they suddenly become raving LIBERALS?

Sorry Sam, having devoted a lifetime to saving farm town businesses, saving and rebuilding business districts, saving existing jobs and creating even more new jobs -- PRODUCING BUSINESS PROFITS, meeting payrolls, providing medical and hospitalization coverage to my own employees and paying more IRS taxes and SSI contributions than you will ever match in total income -- with either of them --

Your convoluted logic would be laughable, except for the extremism hinted at throughout.

What really worries me. You are guiding somewhere around 40 ton of lethal weapon at about 70 miles per hour, many hours every day.

You are using the same mind being warped by the garbage spewed by a bunch of multi-multi-millionaire broadcasting clowns.

Sam, install a 50-disc commercial CD player and unlike the old Grand Ol Opree favorite -- "TURN THE RADIO OFF."

You are simply regurgitating the extremist bile.

Mr. Inglaterra is representative of those liberals who have truly fallen in love with their hate. Sam just did a blog on the USS Thresher, and spoke of the military there Guillermo. Try to at least act like you can think. I am not surprised that Mr. Hendricks spoke of Veterans on Veterans Day. You liberals love to parade your alledged patriotism. Guys like Sam and I live our patriotism every day, we don't have to pretend.

Mr. Mickel, I am reminded of the liberals who try and make their arguments sound less "extreme" by saying that their Republican or Conservative friends agree with them. That is so bogus. I have many Democrat friends, and I can tell you that many of them are shocked at this runaway administration. Some guys are hard core liberals, and no matter what what, they'll sink with Obama.

Sam, we ARE the mainstream. Thanks Bro!

We know the problems. We need solutions. Nothing is as bad as the far right and the far left make it to be.

Do we need to fix problems in our health care? yes. do we need to have a public option? I'm not convinced. We need to make sure that other people don't face the same fate that Nataline Sarkisyan and her family did. There was no reason for that transplant to be considered experimental.

Are Doctors being required to pay too much in mal-practice fees. I'm not sure. Probably. I look at it that they shouldn't have to pay too much more then the lost wages over however many years. If they leave a tool inside of you and have to go in to retrieve it, they should have to eat the cost. The patient nor insurance should have to pay for it. If they work on the wrong side, they should have to eat that too UNLESS, it was the patient who marked the spot. (more hospitals are doing this)

Accidents happen and any procedure is risky.

Are insurance costs too high? The prices I hear quote around the college are pretty high. Maybe its because I'm young, but 400 a month for a family of four seems to be a lot of money to me.

I think that if the insurance company wants to offer a program that if the insured want to follow to get a cheaper premium for more coverage, that's fine.

I think a wall on the US-Mexico boarder is a bad idea. I'd rather invest the money its costing that and invest it in the mexico economy. Maybe if we found out how to improve that they would be more productive to the world and not want to come over as bad.

If fox news is the news of mainstream, I think I'd rather hear silence. They say just as much crap as they do valid points. Same can be said for msnbc, abc, cnn, ect. I think cspan gives the best unfiltered news when it comes to congress. I think BBC gives better world news broadcasts then anything in the US. We need journalist that will quit speculating and report the freaking facts. The "death panel" was blown out of proportion.

Since we don't have such journalist, I feel the rest of the news should not be taken as fact but one person's opinion. Taking just one person's opinion as fact usually leads to bad assumptions and makes for poor arguments.

I think taxes are too high. its bad enough here in Indiana I have to pay a freaking county income tax. There's rumors of some trying to open it up for a city income tax. On the other hand, the county government plays a lot bigger role here then in Nebraska.

I'll let the US army decide if the attack on Ft. Hood was based on Islamic extremism or not. It's a tragedy that apparently could have been avoided.

The only way to find out how how valid untested theories are is to test them. Oil, coal and nuclear will not sustain long enough, we need to start developing new sources of energy now. oil and coal are bound to run out at some point in time.

We need incentive to bring jobs to america not to outsource them. Unfortunately, Americans want top dollar wages Asian just want money. In the new world economy, Americans will probably have to accept less to bring the jobs back home or figure out how to make high end luxury items that command top dollar. If anyone can walk in off the street and be quickly trained to replace you, theres probably going to be problems asking for several dollars more an hour then workers in asia.

Keep in mind that even with shipping costs and applicable taxes, its still cheaper to produce there then here.

bottom line, things are bad but not as bad as everyone wants to make them out to be.

Personally, Sam, I not only agree with you, but can share that the multitude of people that I see and visit with daily in southwest Nebraska and northwest Kansas share your, and my own, point of view on these issues. I also know that out in New York, where my son lives, there is an entirely different mindset; and it mirrors the lack of accountability and personal responsibility that seems to be the plumbline of the left these days.

I talk to a myriad of people every day, and today had the honor of speaking to people who served our country in the Armed Forces. To a man, they all shook their heads in disbelief at the direction this country is turning. These people take accountability and personal responsibility for this countries freedoms and safety quite literally. To see the government heist and wrest our freedoms out from under our feet is more than despised to these people. And quite frankly to me.

What to do about it? (I love conservative solution time...it just rings like the truth)

Raise our children to love and fear God, and respect each other. Teach them right from wrong and don't rely on the schools to do it. Be active in their lives in Sunday school, activities, sports, outings with their friends, and interactions groups (i.e. scouts, etc.) Instruct our children that true compassion is not buying a meal for a person, but giving that person the opportunity to feed themselves and/or their family for years to come. Teach them to respect their elders, and to cherish life. Teach them that humankind is to care for this world, but that it was created for us. Teach them that how they treat people who cannot do anything for them is one of the true tests of character.

There is more, but I think you understand. Thanks for the article Sam.

Wow, really Sam? I struggle to decide whether your post is tongue-in-cheek or not. At least the liberal blogger on this site can admit that he isn't "Mainstream"
