Donald J. Trump is Dangerous for America

I am really angry at the prospect of having one of the least qualified individuals become our next President. Donald J. Trump is simply a horrible little bully whose exploits may work on Fox News but hopefully the American people will see his 8th grade mentality.

I was discussing with a friend of mine on whether I should write this blog. He suggested that I should focus on Hillary Clinton since she has once again been vindicated on every front the Radical Right of the Republican Party has thrown at her.

I essentially told him that no, I am tired of explaining to the far right of the political spectrum and conspiracy theorists that she may not be the most ethical person on the planet but she has never committed any crimes.

In news that should shock only the far right and conspiracy theorists a report has come out stating that Hillary Clinton will not be charged with any crimes regarding her email. The reason is pretty simple for those of us that can actually think for ourselves: while what she did was technically against the rules (Secretaries of State Powell and Rice did their emails the same as Clinton but somehow it only mattered when she did it, you know, selective memory and all) it was not in any way against the law. For those not familiar with how the law works, if the law officials have no proof that you did anything illegal they cannot arrest you. Period. End of sentence.

Back to Trump. There is literally nothing redeeming about this man. I am supposed to be impressed that he is worth billions, but at the same time I'm supposed to ignore all of his bankruptcies and the fact that most of his money was actually his dad's money, not his.

I am supposed to suspend my capability to think for myself and believe this sorry excuse for a human that the only way that we could have stopped the attack on the Pulse would have been to implement his banning of Muslims from entering the country. I am also supposed to act like I have massive head trauma and forget that the attacker was an American and even a ban on EVERYONE from entering the country would never have stopped him.

I am supposed to forget that I am a human being capable of feeling empathy for others and just brush aside every insult he has thrown at every single one of this opponents.

One of my favorites is that I am supposed to act like a have a hole in my head and ignore that while Trump is calling his good friend Hillary Clinton "Crooked Hillary" for the made up drama of the damned emails, he himself was under investigation by the FBI and had every single one of his emails deleted and erased.

The man is an absolute snake oil salesman and he has a good portion of the American public behind him. WHY? Because the man knows how to play the race and fear card. He knows that majority of his followers are racist and fear any person who is not white or a man so he constantly attacks, women, blacks, Muslims (even though this is a religion and not a race, racists like Trump are not smart enough to make that distinction), Hispanics, and so forth.

Do I believe that Trump believes his own words and is a xenophobic racist who lives on the fears of other white people? You are damned right I do. The sad thing is I am right, the scary thing is the people that will actually try to defend this clown of a man and claim that he is not racist and that his words or tweets are taken out of context.

To be clear:

DONALD TRUMP IS NOT ONLY HORRIBLE FOR THIS COUNTRY BUT IS THE WORSE OF THE UNDERBELLY THAT WE HAVE EVER SEEN IN THIS COUNTRY.

I do not generally like comparisons to Hitler as the vast majority of comparisons are idiotic and have no basis in fact or reality (Obama as Hitler - you tea party nutbags actually believed and pushed this).

I will not compare Trump to Hitler as to this point he has not turned on any gas ovens to kill any Muslims. In rhetoric alone, however, the comparisons are clear and apt.

Allow me to make one final comment. The media has aided and abetted his rise to the top of the Republican Party. You want to complain how Barack Obama was never fully vetted in 2008. He does not hold a flame to the way Trump has continuously been let off the hook for his comments. He routinely (literally) phones in his interviews. None of the other candidates were allowed to do this. He called Meghan Kelley of Fox News a slut in a tweet, lied to her face about it an interview and played dumb and even SHE let him off the hook. The media have not only helped his rise the cheerleaded it.

We have a choice in this country in November. Elect someone who has spent the vast majority of her adult life in politics, has lived in the White House, has served in Congress, and has served as Secretary of State ... or elect a loose cannon who has not spent one minute of his life in politics and want to run the US government like his many failed businesses.

I know my choice.

Navy, didn't you already predict that Obama was going to take our guns, and that American would die under his sharia law?

Still waiting for that to happen, there isn't much time left for him to do what you have predicted for years.

The last time we had a president that pronounced that God had ordained he be president was George Bush. Two bad wars and thousands left dead and the economy collapsed I don't think that is the best course of action.

I seriously doubt just from listening to him that Trump has ever opened a Bible let alone is a Christian.

You know why? There is no proof. For 24 years you and your ilk have repeatedly tried to get the Clintons arrested (even thrown out of office) the only things you have to show for it is the most popular modern ex-president (who actually gained popularity after your failed attempt to kick him out) and higher popularity for your wife.

It should shame you that nothing you and your ilk has done has even dented Hillary. The fact that in less than a year Bernie Sanders was able to dent her popularity more than you could in 26 years is just embarrassing.

And I also notice that you conveniently left out the fact that most Dems supported Bush's decision to go to war. They must have "lied" right along with Bush.

Wow I must have touched a nerve with you. I asked you for one simple proof of Hillary law breaking and you change the subject. It's to be expected. When pressed for facts your ilk either bring up conspiracy theories hoping that no one will actually check them out or change the subject.

It's odd that you bring up the Iraqi War because you should know that I was against the war from the beginning. I can post the blogs if you want.

Also, what I find very interesting is that I absolutely trashed Donald Trump the torch bearer for the Republican Party and not a single person defended him, yet every single on of you will vote for him. Talk about drinking the Kool-Aid. I know the faults of Clinton. I have talked about them. Hell I voted for Bernie Sanders. However, she is the torch bearer for my party and despite her faults she is more prepared to be president than any other candidate in modern history. Despite her faults I have no problem supporting her and will defend he against untrue allegations.

I give you all a great chance to defend Trump and I get crickets. Amazing.

I believe the FBI Director confirmed that Clinton lied to Congress. Not sure what authority congress has. Rafael Palmeiro lied to congress and I don't think they punished him.

That's not proof, that's a statement. If you make a statement but don't follow it up with any proof to back up to your statement, it's not proof, it's still just a statement.

I don't think my request could be any easier. Show me proof. I'm not trying to change your mind I'm simply asking for proof that Hillary Clinton broke the law.

Michael, if you weren't fearful of finding the story, go to: abcnews.com Then type in (the same browser): Clintons stole from White House. There are dozens of entries, both pro and con. Draw your own conclusions. I'm sure I could, with reasonable accuracy, predict your conclusions.

Sad endorsement? Could be, but I'm not endorsing someone who is currently under investigation by the F.B.I.

Has anyone every noticed that the ones yelling the loudest about "waking up" and "think for yourselves" are the ones that will seemingly believe any conspiracy theory out there?

The group above, specifically allstar and Manny are perfect examples. They are convinced of Hillary Clinton's evilness as it has been pounded into their heads for over 20 years.

So it is no surprise that when asked for proof of lawbreaking they have nothing but sad little insults.

What you want me to do is read articles and draw my own conclusion? That's not how this works. You saw that Clinton is a lawbreaker and thief. I ask you to prove your claim. If you are able to then you do. That's how it's supposed to work.

Instead what we get is you say that the Clintons are lawbreakers and thieves. I ask you to prove it. You come back with they are they stole from the White House but returned it. I ask you again to prove your claim. You provide a link that isn't actually a link. I inform you of this and again ask you to prove your claim. You then tell me that I have to do my own research on your claim and to read articles and then come to my own conclusion. That is not how proving your claim works.

Can you prove your claim or are you just blowing smoke.

Congressional Republicans bullied the Justice Department to re-open the investigation (once again wasting millions of taxpayers dollars, but apparently that's okay).

The FBI concluded their investigation and closed the case. Congressional Republicans are trying to bully the FBI to re-open their investigation.

The two investigations are completely different. Just as in the first case. Both the Justice Department and FBI investigated. When the FBI closed their investigation, the Justice Department saw no need to continue their investigation.

Please learn how government works before posting next time. You just look foolish with these easy mistakes

This is the problem with people like you. You like to throw blanket accusations but when you are asked to prove your accusations you demand that other people do it for you and you try to change the topic.

It seems so simple to me. Prove your accusation or admit that it is just simply hate for the Clintons.

Please, folks, a little respect for Michael. He is entitled to his opinion (see instructions).

A nation's political life is like a Shakespearian play written hundreds of years ago. The actors change but the play remains the same.

The powerful in each party make sure the only people on the ballot are normally people they control. Not sure Trump fits the bill for them, and thus, the constant attacks by the media and the Republican party against him. If the nomination were stolen from him at the convention, or he was the victim of an accident, it would not be surprising.

It is a false dichotomy.

The media have by and far let Trump do and say anything he wanted until a month ago. Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC routinely let him phone interviews in while the other candidates were asked to appear.

Reporting on the garbage spewing from Trump's mouth is not the media attacking him, it's the media actually doing their job and holding him accountable for what he says. Unfortunately he likes to lie about what he has said and done so it can be difficult to hold a compulsive liar accountable.

The one example you provided (the Clintons stealing furniture from the White House) you provided a like that didn't work and then demanded that I do my own research and come to my own conclusion. That's not how proving your point works.

I will continue to make the request, provide proof that Hillary Clinton has violated the law.

You equate voting for Bernie Sanders to looking for a free ride on the coattails of others' efforts. This statement tells me everything I need to know about you Manny. You let others do your thinking for you. You don't have any idea of what Bernie Sanders actually said, what any of his positions were, but you heard someone make that statement so you have adopted it as your own.

Bernie Sanders is a Democratic Socialist. He calls back to the economic pinnacle of this country (40s through the early 70s) where the government was run in the Democratic Socialist manner. Taxes were highest on the rich but everyone paid their share. During this time the interstate system was built, we went to space, we landed on the moon all paid for by taxes.

Buy yeah you go ahead and live in your little fantasy land where trickle down economics actually works and Hillary Clinton is a murdering law breaker.

False dichotomy:

That there is a real difference between the candidates nominated by the two parties.

President Obama railed against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the prisoners at Guantanimo, and most policies of President Bush. Yet, we see him send more troops to Iraq (when he promised to have us out very quickly if elected). We doubled down with interventions in Egypt, Iran and Syria. Guantanimo has not been closed as he promised. (Hint: there is lots of money to be made in wars and the campaign funds coming from the military-industrial complex are a huge benefit to those in politics).

The size and spending of the government both increase every year, no matter who gets elected. That much is obvious. Take an unbiased look and you will see no difference, no matter who you vote for. Oh, they talk differently, but ye shall know them by their works.

Michael, you refer to others having a fantasy, while it seems you enjoy your own, as well.

I care deeply about my country, and I served in the US Army when I was young. But I do not care who gets elected, since it does NOT matter.

I can do far more productive things attending to the things I CAN control in my own life, in my own way.

While you are overwrought by Trump's candidacy, and others here are mad at you and Hillary, the powers that be (the 1%ers) are getting rich off both sides. The one percenters got their riches in many cases by lurking behind the scenes, getting rich from funding both campaigns--they win either way.

It's like going to the roulette wheel at the casino. Some of you bet on red, some of you bet on blue. But you all lose to the house. Every time. Still you persist in believing that blue or red are the best.
