And while I am so very glad about the new additions to our family, I'd have to be the all time idiot not to be extremely concerned about the future for these boys. I am not special in my natural concern for the future of my grand children. There are millions of us grand parents, that have gazed lovingly at our new grand child, and then it hits us. Oh my God, this child, this child who has only taken a few breaths on this Earth, already owes over a million dollars for government. How you gonna pay it young fella? Oh you don't have it? Well that's okay. You can wait twenty or twenty five years, then you'll owe about five million. Will you be able to pay it then? Welcome to serfdom. In the fantasy world of Hopey Change, it is perfectly okay to steal money from these babies. The Democrats amaze me when it comes to babies, either kill 'em 'fore their born, or rob 'em blind! Then, as if it were not evil enough to steal from these babies, let's heap mountains of debt on them too. The end game for Obama and all his little Communists Czars is to make slaves of these boys, and I can tell you, I for one will not stand for it, without a fight. There is much more going on with this group in power than simply trying to implement some new legislation. There is a real and dangerous effort to kill this Republic, and turn us into some weirdo Utopian Fascist Oligarchy. I am asking you folks out there to seriously pray for our country. Freedom and Liberty are in jeopardy. Our government is ignoring and trampling the Constitution, and wasting trillions of dollars with corruption, bribes, payoffs, favors, waste and just plain theft. It is wrong for the Obama Administration to mortgage my grandsons' futures, and your grandsons' futures, and we have a moral obligation to stand against this evil. So the goofy left is now calling patriots a mob huh? I will need to work on a mob name for myself. Maybe Flamethrower or Lib Kicker. I like Lib Kicker. We're going to need lots of Lib Kickers in the days ahead. This is an power hungry and dangerous bunch in Obama Administration, and they are planning punishing changes and social enslavement. The immediate danger is the leftists are running scared, and Lord only knows what they will do in desperation to kill this Republic before the citizens can vote them out of office. Obama passed out money on the streets of New York once, he'll do it again. After all, they did set themselves up with a massive slush fund for just such occasions. You grand parents better get off your duffs, and get involved. Just don't sit back and accept slavery for your grandkids, okay? Fight back, these nutty leftists aren't God. C'mon Grandpa, you can still be a Lib Kicker, turn off the Matlock, and get involved. Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |

After reading the New Yorker article, I realized this isn't a scientific study, it's an editorial.
G.I.,
To help with your confusion, here is the definition:
A hypocrite is someone who: (1) advocates a standard,(2) publicly applies that standard to himself , (3) fails to meet that standard, and (4) hides or denies his failure.
Your words speak for themselves...you categorically lumped all republicans into one group and are now attempting to backtrack.
You fit all four categories...check.
Hypocrite...check.
You've got to love Steffanie. She says it like it is.No big worded, beat around the bush..BS.Go girl!
G.I.
Are you doing the very thing you have accused others of?
"all the litany of child chat room soliciting, gay oral sex craving, say one thing in public do another in private Republicans"
Didn't you just carry the torch in the other blog to keep others from labeling you and lumping all liberals into one category? Let me see if I can recall exactly what you said: "You are also guilty of assuming that because I hold a certain position that ALL liberals hold this position as well. I speak only for myself..."
Seems hypocritical. Not to mention, lazy and ignorant (credit to G.I.).
Reading Sam's blog comments is getting to feel as if I have fallen into a mixed pit of diamondbacks, copperheads, cotton mouths with maybeso a Gila Monster and Cobra for good measure.
Absolutely uplifting to read the conservative Christian diatribes of the female person about anyone disagreeing with her being an absolutely an athiest.
Steff,it is impossible to identify your affiliation, but if you happen to believe in Eternal Life or Eternal Dammnation -- after writing these thoughts -- You just might want to get some early practice for shoveling coal.
Having survived my one direct contact with a campaigning Kennedy with seriously negative responses, the fact remains that despite all their "party hardy" and alcohol consumption ways, even the infamous womanizing -- the political contributions of the three Kennedy brothers is undeniable.
Certainly, no one has ever accused them of using their public offices to enrich themselves and their cronies (i.e.-- Kellog, Brown & Root, Halliburton, Blackwater, etc.]
Or Good Ol' Ike and his favors for golfing buddies --Dixon-Yates and the U.S. Steel Vice President who got a private barge channel up the Delaware River at taxpayer's expense, not counting handing G.M. the Keys to the Treasury with their active Chairman Charlie Wilson as Sec.of Defense -- while Ike's Gettysburg farm was the site of the Mid-Atlantic Distributorship for G.M.'s Mid-Sized Trucks.]
Considering the hundreds of Billions in political favors involved in just a few of those deals, a bunch of Irishmen and their female companions partying on a relatively remote island is fairly mild.
Saw one reference to Teddy killing an innocent girl.
Certainly, no one thinks she deserved to die -- but it is kind of rare to see a totally innocent D.C. female office worker volunteering for a weekend party in a secluded beach house -- several hundred miles from D.C.
Teddy ended up in the water, admittedly with a high alcohol content, and instead of climbing onto the shore feet from the submerged car-- swam a much longer distance to the opposite shore.
Concussed, disoriented, "out of it" from the impact, booze or both -- it is doubtful he or anyone ever knew the answer. Mary Jo's condition? Who Knows?
Passed out from the party? Unconscious from the impact?
Even a Kennedy would have been charged if there had been any indication of criminal misconduct, beyond driving after drinking with a fatality -- which at that time, even in Nebraska -- would have earned a three-year suspended sentence under unsupervised probation.
The Kennedys did not and do not have a monopoly on heavy drinking in political families.
A certain Connecticut Senator, Prescott Bush, produced a dynasty recognized for high alcohol content -- one grandson was well recognized from his teen years through middle age as being a serious boozer. Some folks even feel George DubYah Bush was an effective president, after living as an alcoholic for at least three decades.
Family influence got him free of charges for obvious insider trading with the shutdown of Harkins Petroleum; Saved brother Neal from hard time for admitted misconduct as a Director of Silverado S&L in Denver, and Jeb got off with surrendering his Real Estate license for misconduct in Florida.
If Sam or I, or even Saintly Steff had approached the Bush brothers' conduct-- We'd probably still be working in the Leavenworth Laundry.
If at that time, one of us had been driving under the influence, with a fatality, at most -- three years probation.
Oh I'm sorry. Love to dish it but can't take it? Bottom line is, no one is perfect. EVERYONE needs to move on and respect others for their accomplishments. You are a complete disgrace to both political parties. Have a great life knowing that you live in the past and hope none of your family members does anything wrong otherwise you won't attend their funeral. HA
Hey Steff, lets talk about your beloved. Since you're so set on not respecting a man who supposedly killed someone. What do you say about this?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/russ-baker...
Doesn't look like you'll be flying the flag for him either?
Nice, very much appreciate the kind words. It must be hard for you to let go and continue to live in the past. You are missing out on so much positive things that are going on and actually some were shaped by the very man you are hating. Your loss and your ignorance shows in every word.
Steffanie, and the way you talk and express your views is worse than a nonremorseful killing. Shame for having no respect.
G.I.,
If you've won Stefanie's respect, you're doing it wrong.
Actually Nixon's death wasn't a reason to celebrate and I'm ashamed, joking or not, that you would say that Guillermo.
I love the Christian views expressed on this site. Celebrating deaths like they were a relief to you. That's not the Christianity that I grew up with.
Leave it to Mr. Eldridge to turn what could have been a wonderful story about the new additions to his family into a shameless lie filled, attack on anything Democratic.
Well, just remember that when the tables are turned and you're hoping that someone will care for you...forget it. All of the trash you talk and self ritousness attitude you've got, you don't deserve one ounce of respect from anyone, Ms. Perfect!
Don't you have respect for anyone? This man did so much for our country. Yes, he made ONE mistake that everyone only remembers. He did his time, married a wonderful woman and went on to make history. Part of which you are definitely grateful if you'd stop and think about it. Oh, I'm sorry I forgot, you've never made any mistakes in your life and everyone should be grateful to you. HAHAHAHHA Regardless of your political beliefs, this man helped shape our future and deserves everyone's respect during this time. Stop being so self centered and thinking about the bad in everyone. Why can't you find anything positive to say?
