I want my Hopey Change!
I say "donated" because it really was not a donation, it was money Soros used to "prime the pump." And boy did it pay off for Soros. The Hopey Change administration just saw to it that TWO BILLION DOLLARS is going to be sent to a Brazilian Company, which Soros owns controlling interest, so that Brazil can drill for oil. So while Obama acts to destroy the American Oil Industry, he makes sure that Brazil can be energy independent, and that Soros can continue to get rich on the backs of Americans...not even born yet. The Obama administration is taking steps at home, with excessive regulation and taxation, to cripple our energy production. Right now, oil field workers in the USA are being laid off, and while I know that makes sheep in the Democrat Party happy, the results are going to be devastating to this country. Here is Obama's plan for you and me. Not producing and not exploring for energy causes our reserves to diminish by about 1/3 each year. Guess what? In three years, just in time for the Hopey Change re-election bid, the energy shortfalls will hit big time. Prices will be higher than Willie Nelson. Of course the Democrat Party will do what they always do, lie, and they will blame the "greedy" oil companies. They are counting on the Democrat sheep to be as dumb as ever, and buy the lies...again, and put Hopey back in office, this time to fix energy. This week Obama is on vacation with the other elite snobs in Martha's Marxist Vineyard. Funny how Hopey wants you and I to live like the Taliban, yet expensive living seems to be the order of the day for Hopey and family. Remember the date Obama and the hateful Michelle went on their "little date" to NYC? That cost our grandkids a cool quarter million. Remember when Hopey went to Paris to once again bad mouth America to the world? The hateful, angry and bitter Michelle (and kids) got to visit Paris, along with all their entourage, at a cost to our grandkids of millions of dollars. Yet Obama wants you and me to drive glorified golf carts to work. And let's not forget Nasty Nancy Pelosi. Truly one of the biggest scumbags to ever hold major office in this country. Nasty Pelosi is rich, rich, rich, and can buy her own damn airplanes, yet she insists on flying her entire entourage hither and dither, on USA aircraft, spending our grandkids dollars like it was monopoly money. And Nasty wants MORE aircraft, so that she, and the rest of the oligarchy can travel comfortably. But not you. You stay home. You don't ask questions. You keep your mouth shut. You should see Las Vegas right now. Wow. Talk about a depression. The Casino's are empty thanks to Obama's big mouth and tiny brain. I tell you how bad it is in Vegas right now. There are big Casino's that are actually welcoming truckers. No kidding! Actual truckers are now invited to come in to the major Casinos. The end is near, don't you think? Back to the Soros menace. It was our resident Democrat sheep, Michael Hendricks, who came to Soros' defense, asking the question, "when does giving become evil?" Poor diluted leftists. So clueless. Michael, when you steal money to give it away, that is evil. When you borrow money to give it away, that is evil and stupid. When you steal money from your own grandkids, and borrow money from Communist countries, and use it as bribes and political payoffs, that is evil, stupid, and stinks of corruption. Are you so blinded, you leftists, so filled with hate for your own country, that you'll ignore facts? (don't know why I asked you that, of course you'll ignore facts to continue in your hate) When you give stolen or borrowed money to the enemies of America, like George Soros, that is retarded politics, that is Democrat Party politics, and that is why Obama, must be opposed at every turn, over every bill, every single day. There was a man who wanted to buy a Christmas present for his Grandpa, but he did not know what to buy. The man passed a pet store, and saw a Parrot sitting in the window. He goes into the store, and asks the lady behind the counter, "how much?" The lady tells the guy the parrot costs $600 bucks. The man objects, "that's quite a bit for a bird." The saleslady points out that the Parrot can speak six languages, so the guy buys the Parrot, and sends it to his Grandpa. Amazing, Sceptre, Steffanie and some others on here haven't produced their own birth certificates, even though their thoughts and rhetorics could lead readers to believe they were hatched from dinosaur eggs in Nazi Germany sometime between 1936 and 1943.
For the record, uber-reactionary conservatives, Teddy Kennedy entered a guilty plea in Mass. court to the charge of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, reckless driving, unintentional vehicular homicide and a couple of other charges.
He received a sentence comparable to more than 95% of all such pleas and convictions in the nation at that time, with suspension of prison time, unless he failed to fulfill probation terms and failed to pay a serious fine.
On the other hand, Jeb Bush walked away from real estate fraud in Florida, with a fine, and surrendering his Real Estate license. Virtually all others charged with R.E. Fraud in Florida have served serious prison time.
Neal Bush, agreed to never again engage in any regulated financial business, as his only punishment for actions which cost the taxpayers billions, with Silverado S&L Stockholders losing all their Hundred of Millions or billions in stock investments.
Other S&L officers found responsible for losses just in the millions, not BILLIONS as in the younger Bush's misconduct -- went to prison for long terms.
Scooter Libby's perjury struck the heart of national defense, yet DubYah Bush commutted his sentence -- while Dick Cheney is still raging because Bush did not pardon Scooter.
Intelligence agents died because of Scooter's "outing" of Valerie Flame in a "get back" against her husband's factual analysis which revealed the lies of Bush/Cheney claims.
Maybe Sceptre, with his unfettered ignorance, can enlighten readers as to how many U.S. intelligence agents died as a result of that misconduct.
Very bluntly, these certifiable rectal orifices, hurl slanderous comments about the President of the United States [elected less than a year ago with the largest majority since LBJ waxed Barry Goldwater], the Speaker of the House, the late Senator Ted Kennedy and any other leaders they oppose, and claim to be patriotic U.S. citizens.
I have repeatedly, reported the record regarding DUBYAH and The DRAFT DODGERS, never once calling Laura Bush or her daughters, or her mother-in-law a "three hole punch board," or branding DubYah a Nazi or communist, or KKK member.
The best information is that West Virginia's senior senator, a Democrat, has confessed to being in the KKK as a 19-year-old and apologized repeatedly.
At least one major Democratic politician secured a spot in the Houston Air National Guard Unit with DubYah -- applying political pressure just like Poppa Bush used to jump his offspring ahead of a five-year waiting line.
In Oklahoma, I knew of one clown who paid the CO of an Air National Guard HQ Unit $5,000 for an Enlisted slot in the unit -- plus $2,000 annually during his six-year inactive duty hitch during the Viet Nam wars.
Typically, as with DUBYAH and his DRAFT DODGERS, having dodged active combat duty, virtually all of the draft dodgers have become HAWKS in their mature years.
Pure chicken as draft age young men, total HAWKS ever since.
I'm still waiting for someone to identify a wealthy family's son who served with the poor boys in any combat unit in Korea, Viet Nam, Panama, Somalia, Grenada, Lebanon, Iraq or Afghanistan.
The closest anyone can come is Pat Tillman, the young NFL player who volunteered for active duty and died of "friendly fire" in Afghanistan.
Unfortunately, Tillman died when an outmanned force was attempting to contain the Taliban, while most of our combat units were committed to Iraq.
The question has never been should the U.S. have put a stop to Saddaam.
The question is why the Truce Team under Poppa Bush in the First Gulf War did not require the Iraq military to turn over Saddaam and the entire Iraqi Revolutionary Council to be tried in a Muslim religious court in Mecca for their crimes against other Muslims.
Under the Islamic laws routinely enforced at Mecca, the only punishment for Saddaam and his council would have been execution by beheading.
That would have been legal under the U.N. mandate and it would have stopped Saddaam and his two Nutso sons.
Instead, thousands of U.S. service men and women, and possibly a million innocent Iraqis have died since 2002.
Plus, Bush/Cheney took their eye off the goal to defeat terrorism after 9/11 and both the Taliban and Al Qaeda were stronger than ever when DubYah retired to his "gated billionaire's enclave" outside Dallas.
Thank God, we now have a president, who tells the military leadership what the duly elected administration's Iraq/Afghanistan/Pakistan policies are -- and leaves it to the qualified military leaders and planners to devise strategy and tactics.
And despite, the NutCase Right Wing BS on this blog, that is the report direct from several of the ranking officers in the Pentagon.
The military leaders have established strategy and tactics, told the Commander-in-Chief what weapons systems the troops need -- and he has delivered what they request.
Instead of the CIA operating the only Unmanned Aerial Surveilance and Bombardment Aircraft in the theater, the combat Army and Marine units have received full deployment of UAV's and ordnance.
Totally UNNEEDED engines for scrapped UNNEEDED single purpose $2-Billion each aircraft have been eliminated.
Body armor, armored personnel carriers, effective weapons systems and ground support aircraft have been provided as outlined by the Pentagon.
NO-BID, SWEETHEART contracts have been eliminated.
Secret "private contractor" deals under virtually every executive department have been identified and are being eliminated. Every department's budget was used to hide these illegal activities.
Illegal CIA "contracts" for "foreign assassins" have been unearthed and stopped.
This administration is returning this nation to operating within the Constitution and our LAWS.
The day of wild-eyed "cowboys" running amuck and declaring, "If the president's people do it, it is not illegal, regardless of what they do and what our laws call for."
Carry that attitude to its logical reach and on the say so of some secret White House official, hired assassins could be sent to Red Willow County, Nebraska to eliminate anyone the President's People wanted eliminated, for any reason they determine is sufficient.
The Constitution and the Law be damned.
It's hopeless trying to have an honest exchange of ideas with people who base their hate on lies.
There is little logic contained in lies.
I have proudly supported more than one Republican in my life and repeat, only when the Republican party returns to it's roots, makes an honest attempt to put forth truth based public discourse can it reach it's true potential to contribute to the growth of this great nation.
The lies from the FAR right on this blog are based on hate and an evident fundamental dishonesty.
Sadam Hussein had no responsiblity to 9/11.
Had Bush's team not been so arrogant, 9/11 might well have been avoided. That is a logical possibility. We will never know because of the inept leadership Bush provided. He was responsible for the loss of worldwide support for this country after 9/11, he had opportunity upon opportunity to do something constructive and chose to go to war for non existent weapons of mass destruction. Saddam is gone, but Osama's organization is still out there even if Osama himself has died of old age. Bush is a complete failure on bringing to task the perpetraitors of 9-11.
This country had no business invading Iraq.
And the sooner this country develops alternative fuels and eliminates it's dependence on Middle East oil, the better for this country.
People like Sceptre who don't believe the truth that Obama was born in Hawaii are sad, misguided, folk who have been so conned by the neocons that they are probably beyond hope of ever experiencing a rational world view.
Ted Kennedy took responsibility for his actions, in '69 and in later years. Kennedy will go down in history as a flawed yet great Senator, long after Sceptre, Steffanie, and myself are dead, buried, and soon forgotten. (Jealousy of the Kennedy mystique is the underlying cause of 99% of the hyper- anti-Kennedy factions)
Johnson was only trying to accomplish a positive outcome from the mess of a treaty that Vice President Richard Nixon signed committing us to Viet Nam. None of us are perfect, Johnson had the class to stand aside and focus on Viet Nam rather than run again. Viet Nam was a Republican War left to the Democrats to try and make a decent outcome -- Nixon's solution was a complete failure. He betrayed the soldiers who gave their lives there.
Clinton was a great president--he produced great results for our country. So he lied about a personal matter, had I been married to Hilary, I would have done the same thing. His private life is his private life, just as Ike's long term affair was his private life.
Republicans in general have become the party of misinformation, far right extremists who are no better than the Taliban in that they believe God has given them the only "true way", and people with no respect for the law of the land. How sad.
Obama has not been in office a year--to overcome the damage done to the Republic in the last 8 years will take at least a few more months. The positive economic indicators are out there--embrace the positive and work for worthwhile outcomes. God has alot more faith in all of us than most of the posters here.
But the out right lying, ie, Palin's assertion of the non-exist death panel in the health care reform package, etc--does no good for the republic only fuels the self righteous malecontents. And that is detrimental to the republic in which we live.
And one of the most sad outcomes of the Bush years was 9-11--it is an historical fact the Bush folks repeatedly refused to sit down and review files regarding the state of national security the December before Bush became president--had they not been so arrogant and bent on war with Iraq, 9-11 might well have been avoided and the thousands of lives lost since would not have occurred.
Truth will prevail in the end.
The truly appalling thing about the far right is their habit of making up a lie and presenting it as truth. Sad thing is many in the Gazette readership area actually believe the lies.
The Republicans began their journey into "lie land" to further their cause back when Richard Nixon began a campaign letter with "My fellow Democrats"--
that is a fact.
More recently we have Sarah Palin decrying the "death panels" on the national health care reform initiative. Fact, that has never been a part of the health care reform package, however, major insurers do have de facto death panels in place today, perhaps poor deluded Sarah got mixed up between her discussions with her insurance friends and the actual content of the health care reform package.
Fact, SWIFT BOAT VETERANS FOR TRUTH was compiled and edited by a federally paid Bush staff member, the remembrances shared by various veterans were substantially from men who had been upset for years that John Kerry, an honored veteran of Vietnam himself, would come home to protest that war. These men had stated numerous times they would do whatever it takes to get back at Kerry. That did included lies or historical fiction based ever so loosely on the truth if lies is to strong a word for head in the sand rightwingers.
Fact, a group of wealthy Republicans supported Jennifer Flowers for YEARS in return for her "factual account" of her affair with Bill Clinton.
Fact, when Republicans lost every statewide election in California a wealthy Republican funded a recall effort against Governor Davis and less than honest accusations against him. (One being the "bad" energy contracts Davis negotiated with those stalwarts of truth and honor, the good folks at Enron--who it was later proven had manipulated the energy market out here to create an energy shortage that did not exist.)
Again, where is Barry Goldwater when you need him? Truly the loss of Barry Goldwater was to the right what the loss of Ted Kennedy is to the left, let us hope the left does a better job of replacing Kennedy than the right did replacing Goldwater.
Sorry, I digressed.
The above blog is filled with so much mis-information and outright lies it is sad it is represented as truth or fact.
When and only when the Republican party returns to a party of honesty in it's operations( versus it's present lie like hell and misinform the masses) will it ever hope to acheive the greatness it's original values promise.
Unfortunately, if this blogger and most of the posters here are any indication, it might be a millenium or two before southwest Nebraska, overall, gets with the real, honest program.

Looks like I will be correcting the lies and spins by Mr. Eldridge once again.
First note, it was debunked MONTHS ago about Pelosi's plane use but that still hasn't stopped you from pushing the old lie. It is rather funny though that the last couple of House Speakers, both Republicans I might add, were both allowed use of the private jets, but as soon as Nancy Pelosi was afforded the use, the right went absolutely nutso and demanded that she stop using the jets. For the record she never actually used the private jet, but that still hasn't stopped people, such as Mr. Eldridge from claiming not only that she did but she still is.
President Bush in his first six months as president spent 30 days (consecutively) on vacation. President Obama is spending 7, yet somehow the seven days in a row is what's pissing people like Mr. Eldridge off. The Right didn't really bat an eye at all the vacation days that President Bush took, but they are ALL OVER President Obama.
Mr Eldridge, again, is caught in another lie, anything to trash President Obama after all, by pushing that the Obama Administration is sending $140 million dollars to New York for needy children. He considers it a bribe to help out the needy. How cute. Of course he is lying. The money is coming from the state of New York and the city of New York. As for Soros, if Mr. Eldridge actually did any research into the man instead of parroting the talking points, he would know that Soros has been fighting against communism for most of his adult life, even supporting those countries with his money in the early days of the fall of the USSR to gain their independence. Maybe because Soros didn't fight against communism his entire life brands him a communist is Mr. Eldridge's eyes.
It still amazes me how someone giving his own money to help the needy, and children for that matter, can be looked at with such disdain, but such is the way with Mr. Eldridge. He is the Mr. Scrooge of Nebraska.
The other lie is his, and others on the right, insistence that since I and those on the left don't believe the way he does that must mean we hate America. That is a most disgusting and despicable charge for any American to throw at another, but sadly this has become standard language for Mr. Eldridge and the right.
I have no doubt that Mr. Eldridge has hate in his heart for those that don't think like him. Just look at his language when regarding anything slightly to the left of him, anti-American, America hater, stupid, ignorant, (the big one) evil, and so on and so forth.
But he does have a right to speak his mind even if it is to belittle those he does not agree with. But I will be right here at every step of the way correcting his lies, spins, and misinformation. You can count on that.
