Nukes Can Be Groovy

Posted Monday, August 10, 2009, at 11:54 PM

(Photo)
There is a marvelous article in the Investors Business Daily, dated November 10th, 2008, called NIMBY: Nukes In My Backyard.

"Al Gore says the same fervor that elected Obama president can be used to save the planet. Actually, a new type of nuclear power plant the size of a garden shed might do the trick."

Want some answers to our energy needs over the next several decades? Listen to this...

"Using technology developed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory...New Mexico based Hyperion Power Generation Inc., has taken its first orders for miniature nuclear power plants that could literally fit in your backyard."

"The module produces about 70 megawatts of thermal energy...enough to power about 20,000 American-style houses."

"Our Goal is to generate electricity for 10 cents a watt anywhere in the world," says John Deal, CEO of Hyperion. "They will cost approximately $25 million each. For a community with 10,000 households, that is a very comfortable $250 per home."

"The units are factory sealed, can be delivered by truck and are buried underground. Like a car battery, there are no moving parts and no danger of a Chernobyl-type event. The module uses very low enriched materials that remain sealed for the five to seven year life of the module. It's also terrorist-proof."

America's Environmental lunatics have done much damage to USA energy solutions in the past three decades, but no industry has been as maligned by these nutty leftists, as the nuclear industry.

One stupid movie, "The China Syndrome" and America turns its back on nuclear energy?

Ronald Reagan once said, defending against the lefts propaganda regarding nuclear energy, "You can put all the waste, from a nuclear energy plant in one year, under my desk."

Look at what the left looks too...wind power? Don't make me laugh.

"Alternative or Renewable energies such as wind and solar are romantic notions, but bump up hard against reality - including the fact that just a single 50 mega watt wind facility requires an appalling 4,000 acres of land..."

"The "footprint" is like comparing a Chihuahua to Godzilla. Modern turbines can be as tall as 400 feet, and carry 130-foot, seven ton, bird slicing blades. Building these wind farms requires 5 to 10 times more steel and concrete that a nuclear plant generating the same amount of power."

I have often said that environmentalism, to many of these leftists, is a religion. That view is shared by the famous author, Michael Crichton. In a November 2005 speech, Mr.Crichton said, "How will we manage to get environmentalism out of the clutches of religion, and back to a scientific discipline? There is a simple answer: we must institute far more stringent requirements for what constitutes knowledge in the environmental realm. I am thoroughly sick of politicized so-called facts that simply aren't true. What more and more groups are doing is putting out lies..."

Obama and his Marxists friends do not even talk about Nuclear Energy, or they only talk about it in the abstract. The Democrats allies are in the so-called green energy hoaxes, and Obama needs to funnel lots of your cash, and our children's cash, down that sink hole, for votes don't ya know.

What a shame that environmental groups have so freely engaged in cranial-rectal infusion when it comes to nuclear energy. Had we been working harder on nuclear energy these past forty years, we could have been energy independent today. Instead, we have neutered our nuclear industry, letting environmentalists crazies predict one bit of gloom or another.

Time to stop listening to the left. Nuclear energy is the energy of the future. Please understand this - energy policies to the Democrat Party have nothing to do with energy. Democrat policies in the energy arena have everything to do with politics, and controlling you!

I remember Three Mile Island, how Walter Cronkite and the liberal media tried to make out that Nuclear energy was so very dangerous. I try and remind everyone that more people died at Chappaquiddick than Three Mile Island. America should be leading the world in nuclear technology, instead we lead the world in goofy environmentalism. Sam, I wonder, do you think people will ever catch on to just how destructive liberals have been to our country?

Great piece Sam. I hope you can encourage your fellow Oberlinites to apply for grants to install such a system lets say by 2015. There would be only one caveat, no nuclear waste generated within the system can be moved out of the town of Oberlin. That shouldn't be a problem as I am sure you would volunteer to place the waste under your desk. A grand idea indeed. Instead of using the red devil mascot the local teams could be called the glowing green weenies.

Nuclear power can be dangerous and have lasting effects. Three Mile Island had a partial meltdown and was almost ready to make a dead zone. However, it didn't.

There's several nuclear power plants in the US running without incident, including i believe 2 in Nebraska.

Also Sam, the math is wrong where it says its $250 a household. It's really $2,500

This is a link to the same article on the guardians site from the UK with the corrections

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/20...

I do have to say though, it is an interesting concept.

-- Posted by npwinder on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 12:35 PM

Also, one more potentially big difference is that its been updated to 10 cents per kilowatt not 10 cents per watt as written in the first article.

-- Posted by npwinder on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 12:38 PM

npwinder - thanks for the corrections and the link.

Monte - One of the reasons that people are fooled by liberals, is that folks want to believe in their stated "good intentions." We on the right are never allowed to look at the results of what liberals do, only their intentions.

Since LBJ and the Great Society, liberal Democrats and wussy Republicans have stolen a whopping eight trillion from the producers, and given to the alledged "poor" for votes. You see the results.

Democrat voters that think the government is their dad, and owes them everything, and damn well owes them everything now. Then these same folks spend most of their lives, standing in lines, or filling out forms, or attending one meeting or another, and they never accomplish a thing. Standing in one government line or another is in fact their job now. Their job becomes giving the government worker a reason for being there, and sucking up taxpayer dollars.

I saw a photo the other day, of the hateful Michelle Obama, feeding the poor in six hundred dollar tennis shoes, and the poor guy she was handing soup to, took a picture of the hateful Michelle with his cell phone camera.

In the past, when I have pointed out that maybe the poor, are not so poor, conservative wannabes like Hoag, chastised me for being too harsh.

You damn right Teddy, "the Swimmer" Kennedy killed more folks at Chappaquiddick than died at 3 mile island. And Kennedy has been making the USA pay for his sin ever since. That shows you how dumb the voters in MA are, they're Massholes.

Buffy Thumbsucker - you need to step it up a bit. You're sounding like a nerdy eighth grader, and that's not good.

Steffanie - the hardest thing in the discussion on energy, or health care, or whatever...is that liberals, leftists, the kooky left, nut jobs, etc., are the ones that have screwed up everything, then they want to come in and act like they have a solution to fix it.

I tried hard the other day, to think of one single liberal Democrat proposal, or bill in the last forty years that did anyone any good, and I swear, I cannot think of one. Liberal policies always fail, but not before the Taxpayer is fleeced of more and more money. One cannot forget that it was The Swimmer Kennedy that dreamed up the HMO's, then when Insurance Companies did as Kennedy said, the Democrats turn on them and demonize them.

These leftists are a sick group. I am tired of this idea that we must get along with liberals, and leftist crazies. No we don't. We need to expose them, expose their stupidity, expose their hypocracy, expose their Marxism, and defeat them once and for all.

- Oh, And I mean that with all sincere Christian love of course.

-- Posted by sameldridge on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 1:44 PM

Sam and Steffanie,

You are both such fine Americans. Hate, bitch, call names, blah blah blah but yet you do nothing or propose nothing. Do something! What do you propose? What is your end game? What positive things do you offer to this world? Or are you living up to your full potential in these blogs. Is this all you have to offer?

-- Posted by BuffRoam on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 2:40 PM

Notice the difference from Mr. Eldridge in his original blog and then the comment he later posts.

What's the difference you ask, most of his original blog was taken from an article in a magazine and included little of his own opinion. When he posted a comment he let the insults fly. Nothing civil in what he said just insult after insult, no answering questions posed to him just insults.

How can you flame the fires you do Mr. Eldridge, call Americans names and traitors and sick and then expect anyone to believe that you are a good moral Christian?

-- Posted by ekimsitruc on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 2:51 PM

Super Stef and good looking too. When was the last time you were in the inner city? How is typing on this blog going to help those poor wayward souls? Other credentials you state really won't look too good on a resume.

-- Posted by BuffRoam on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 3:07 PM

Gitmo has been running on a small Nuc, for some years now. We disassembled the Fresh water Nuc, at San Diego, and sent it South, when Castro shut down the water and power supply. With the new technologies, plants for communities, that generated, not only clean electric power, but clean distilled water, could be mass produced. They also could be built with lifespans of twenty five years, and still function unmanned, with periodic maintenance.

Good thought, Sam, but they tried to introduce this idea over thirty years ago, and the 'willy-nillie' cries about probable melt down and slow death, scared the public into immediate refusal. Perhaps we are ready now, if there is enough money left available to accomplish the transition.

Hey, Mike, Don't you mean that you call Americans traitors, and sick, and Nazi, by proxy from your Pelosyationizing? You really must quit talking to yourself in front of the mirror. You are beginning to believe yourself.

Arley

-- Posted by Navyblue on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 4:44 PM

Nice attempt Navyblue of pushing blame on me but I have not once called ANY American a traitor, that is something solely reserved for the extreme right on this sight.

The only comparisons I have made to the Nazi's, is pointing out, correctly, that the Nazi Party was an extreme right party. I have never called anyone a Nazi or compared them directly to Nazi's

Just another great example of someone absolutely lying out their teeth about what someone else has said.

You may think you just shout me down and team up on me and I will bow down to your intimidation efforts but you are wrong.

We are ALL Americans (no matter how much you hate that idea) and the only people who cause harm to this country is those who call other Americans, ANTI-Americans because they disagree with their position.

-- Posted by ekimsitruc on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 5:29 PM

mike, is it just my imagination or are you truly offended when anyone disagrees with your position? do you go back and read your posts? and I get the same feeling when anyone dares disagree with Obama or your liberal leanings. you ask posters to supply references but you post VERY few for your positions. and you dont denigrate anyone? you dont consider republicant a derogatory term? and you continually whine about hypocrisy! thats just rich

-- Posted by doodle bug on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 6:45 PM

Buffy - I accept your challenge. Didn't know you made one? Well, you did, and I will write about it soon.

As for Michael - I don't know what to tell you. You and your leftist buddies are trying to change America into some Soviet Style State. You and your leftists buddies are stealing money that belongs to future generations.

I don't get it. What part of "I detest liberals and nutty leftists" didn't you get?

You and your friends are trying to destroy my country. Your Democrat party is lying through its teeth when they say the end game isn't single payer. You know damn well it is.

I have listened to the left and their crap for way too many years now, and enough already. You liberals are wrong. You are always wrong. You never get it right. There is no getting along with you, because you are never happy. Always more, more government, more taxes, more more more more.

People like me are sick of it, and sick of your rhetoric. I don't wanna be chums with crazies trying to hurt our country.

It is hard to overlook the damage you on the left do. AND we are just to chuckle about it and write it off because you are naive and brainwashed?

Now your party turns its back seniors. Then you have the gall to lie about it. It's disgusting. Opposing this health care reform lie is pivotal to saving this Republic.

Yes, only a cause so noble.

Obama's "reforms" for America must be defeated.

I sincerely wish you leftists weren't nuts and actually loved your country. I wish Obama respected us as much as he does the killers in GITMO.

Unfortunately, we have a President that hates his own country. So, what choice do I have but to defend my country?

AND Michael please, don't be trying to act like you are a big fan of the USA all of a sudden. You're a big fan of Socialism, or worse.

-- Posted by sameldridge on Tue, Aug 11, 2009, at 6:49 PM

What a shocker I defend myself and I get slammed for it. Let's see, since my last post, I have been called a whiner, hypocritical, and naturally, Mr. Eldridge comes through and calls me un-American pretending to be a big fan of the USA.

What a time we live in where one side (the extreme right) can call the other side (anything that isn't extreme right) un-American, anti-America, and America haters and THEY are the patriots.

Then Mr. Edlridge goes the extra step and lies (AGAIN) about what is in discussions about health care reform. He KNOWS no where is there any mention of death boards or killing boards or euthansia boards (or whatever they are calling it today) but he continues to push it because his leaders tell him to. He KNOWS that the only cuts that are being mentioned to medicare or medicaid is the money not even going to seniors, but he continues to insist that it is because that's what his leaders are telling him to say.

Okay Mr. Eldridge, let's go back to the old tried and true way of only giving tax breaks to the ultra-rich and hoping that it trickles down to the rest of us. It has been tried twice, during Reagan's term and during George Bush's term, to disastorous results. Yes that is the MUCH better system.

The only one throwing the rhetoric is you. You continually lie about what's going on and then you trash whoever dares disagree with you.

I'll be the first (and with a few exceptions on here, one of the few) to admit that both sides has it's idiots and liars and tricky, but it takes a very special person to think that only one side is always wrong and their side is always right.

That person is, Mr. Eldridge.

Sam,

You have finally opened up with your actual problem.

'HATEFUL" Michelle Obama!!!!!

You rest on your uninformed white rump and sling that kind of bilge.

You came out of the plains and earned a CDL.

WOW!!!

This lady came out of South Chicago, earned a spot at Princeton and then Harvard Law School.

In both instances, she competed with thousands just to get into the schools on her own merits and earn her chance.

Then she took her education and worked long and hard to EARN a Vice Presidency with a major hospital, earning far more than her husband for years.

As First Lady, unlike every Republican First Lady in History and all but one or two Democratic First Ladies -- she VOLUNTEERS with soup kitchens, child care centers, senior centers, homeless shelters and other charities in the D.C. area.

She did this for months before any of the press found out and both legitimate media types and papparazzi now patrol all the D.C. area charities in hopes of getting photos of her volunteering.

This is not a Thelma "Pat" Ryan Nixon 20-minute Photo Op appearance to shake hands.

This HATEFUL, spoiled lady shows up as soon as her daughters are off to school, goes to work and WORKS until time to meet the girls after school.

She plants a vegetable garden and works it with the daughters, then invites other children in -- to teach them and millions of children about the benefits of home grown vegetables and good eating habits.

Sam, even Bill O'Reilly this past weekend in PARADE authored an incredible article praising the Obama's achievements and what a powerful example they are providing.

Michelle Obama's mother and father, overcame the medical problems which finally killed him, and on a minimal income produced two outstanding children.

Craig Robinson is the highly-respected Division One and Pacific Coast Conference varsity basketball coach.

Oh, and by the way -- your inferior grade of B.S. about her $600 sneakers. The press fashionistas have made huge noises about her buying off the rack at budget and low to middle market stores.

She has gotten steady praise from the fashion gurus for her style and fashion sense. She doesn't pay $600 total for three pair of fashionable dress pumps.

Try $40 sneakers.

Instead of going after the ultra-expensive New York designer's donated originals to wear for official occasions, she has BOUGHT from small Chicago designers.

With these comments, Sam, you have finally shown your true colors.

You are a raving racist bigot and the idea of this high achieving "Black" family in YOUR White House is sending you around the bend.

Until now, you have concealed this disease behind pompous political rhetoric.

Endlessly spewing charges which have been proven lies repeatedly -- such as that infamous "Kenyan birth certificate," where the forgery was so crude, the Australian owner of the original birth certificate was identifiable.

Sam, I had an uncle who dodged the draft throughout WWII and enlisted after the second bomb dropped on Nagasaki so he could cash in on the generous WWII veteran's benefits.

He was a lifelong KKK member and a charter member of the White Citizens Councils.

My father and older uncle received 4th grade educations on the frontier, while farming and punching cows and feeding a family of eight, including that younger brother.

They made sure their youngest brother and sisters finished high school and had the chance for college.

That pampered younger brother grew up a complete bigot.

My older uncle often took me to KANSAS CITY MONARCH'S games, where I saw Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson, Big Poppa Bell and many of the old Negro League stars and players.

My father paid his field workers 25% over the going wage, provided iced water, tea and lemonade in the field, chilled watermelon for breaks -- and built a privy on a sled, to pull alongside the field, so his employees could use it with dignity.

For as long as he needed to hire field hands, anytine he needed them, he would tell one of the older women the week before and she would recruit the best workers.

Yes, he paid 25% more and "took care" of his workers. -- In return, they routinely did twice as much work, with better quality.

During WWII, I would drive 14 miles on back roads into town, meet the crew and turn the steering wheel over to one of the adults.

Two of the older ladies would get in the heated front seat with the driver, I would ride in back and we would go to work.

I was lucky enough to wear a uniform alongside some of the finest servicemen this country had during Korea.

Some were white, some were black, one was a Zuni from New Mexico, another was a Japanese-American "chick sexer" from Indiana, another was a Slovanian steel workers son from Pueblo, Colorado and another was a 20-year old black combat veteran from Tuskegee, Alabama who served two full tours in Korean combat -- lost one older brother on the Pusan Perimeter and had another brother returned from Korea with a leg missing.

Joe was our Field First Sergeant and his chestful of ribbons, included the one which officers saluted. Our outfit, comprised totally of farm and ranch boys from Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisana -- was ready to back him on any point after less than a month.

He EARNED our respect.

"Hateful" Michelle Oboma -- look in the mirror and apologize to yourself Sam, You are a better man than that and deserve more respect from yourself.

-- Posted by HerndonHank on Wed, Aug 12, 2009, at 12:05 AM

WOW Michelle Oboma accomplished all that in this "really mean country"!!

-- Posted by shaarhues on Wed, Aug 12, 2009, at 2:26 AM

Calling the board that Obama wants to put together, death panels, euthanasia boards, etc is just like the term death tax. However, the board he does want to put together, whether they are doctors, lawyers, insurance professionals or anyone else will be the ones deciding what procedures will be covered and for whom they will be covered. Obama has already admitted he wants this board established.

There is also mandatory end-of-life counseling required of seniors every five years. If someone wants to receive the counseling that's their choice but they should also have the choice to decline it or do it at a time of their choosing.

People aren't scared of what the opponents are saying. They're afraid of what the proponents of the bill are saying. They are saying we should be required to have insurance so everyone else's premiums go down. They are saying the government should interject itself into the competition already existing among the insurance companies. Obama himself wanted to establish the board that will decide the "best procedures" but he won't go into real detail on what that does or doesn't mean. He's also let his true colors bleed through when he told a lady that her 100 year old mom, instead of being treated with a heart surgery should just take the painkiller. These are all statements from the supporters of this reform. For some reason, they actually believe people are ok with this. When you promote a terrible plan then people will speak out against it and they will always have the fear that this terrible plan may actually pass. It's to be expected when bad ideas come around.

Buffy - I accept your challenge. Didn't know you made one? Well, you did, and I will write about it soon.

Sam, yes by all means take your time and check in with the Puppet Master. He/she/it may have articles for you to copy and plagiarize. I agree with Mike, it is amazing how different your style and tone is in your main piece versus your comments. Anyway we await your grand purpose of your efforts!

-- Posted by BuffRoam on Wed, Aug 12, 2009, at 11:33 AM

Sam,

Great piece...right on target.

Hank,

I was wondering when someone would interject race into this...thanks for not letting me down. Let it be known that from here forward, anyone that disagrees with this administration shall be known as a racist. Are all those that referred to W as "hateful", also racists? The jump that you make to call someone racists is truly incredible. Am I also a racist for agreeing with Sam? Gee...all this time, and I wasn't aware.

Mike,

Just one simple word for you...pathetic.

The difference between the left and the right is whether government should be involved in our private lives. Whether government should give a hand up, or a hand out.

The direction that this government is taking this country is pure and simple, Socialism. Once we get there, we won't be able to come back. Our freedoms are being taken away inch by inch. Our Constitution is being re-written everyday.

The liberal motto - Take from the rich and give to the poor. What is my incentive to work...what is my incentive to reach those goals that my grandparents and great grandparents also strived for? If health insurance is free, and welfare is abundant, why should I get off my couch and work harder than those who don't?

Let's just keep printing money, increasing our deficit and taking out loans. If we are lucky, we will die and only our children and grandchildren will have to pay for it.

-- Posted by Husker23 on Wed, Aug 12, 2009, at 12:37 PM

To all, I have decided to move on and no longer partake in discussions on the blogs. Best wishes and try to be civil to each other.

-- Posted by BuffRoam on Wed, Aug 12, 2009, at 3:09 PM

mccook1,

It doesn't take much of a leap to realize the words, "Hateful Michelle Obama" are 100% racist.

In fact, not even a minor crow hop.

FACT:

The "living will" provisions included in the one bill of five being considered -- were presented by REPUBLICANS.

President Obama did not propose them or request them.

Neither proposal [which are among the 169 Republican proposals accepted into these five drafts, in contrast to about 30 from the Democrats], even comes close to Death Panels.

As one of those advanced seniors, living through all of FDR's terms in office, this is one idea which should be standard practice with every family doctor and every doctor working with my generation.

In case you geniuses haven't noticed -- Ain't nobody gonna get out of this life alive -- That's the way it works.

With gains in nutrition and all other factors, we're living longer. Even though I've had aunts and uncles alive and active into their mid 90s and my own parents made it to 87 and 89 -- I ain't gonna be around for 2025 for sure, and probably not 2020.

And yes, I've already had the living will discussion with my doctor and attorney and life partner. My decision was made in 1962 when I watched my best friend, a Montana wheat grower, die of cancer, with the doctors making every effort to keep him alive and suffering another 24 hours.

My standing order are "If it reaches the point where I am a pain-wracked mindless organism -- pull the damn plugs, tubes and hold the medications other than pain killers. Let me go."

The people I've consulted on this do not comprise any DEATH PANEL.

And you blithering, emotion lashing ninnies need to quit your hypocritical lying and twisting.

The President and Congress have a tough enough job trying to straighten out this mess without professionally induced hysteria to contend with.

Damn it, the U.S. Health Care system is broken.

Insurors keep healthy, low claims premium payers around for decades -- until they have a serious claim. -- Then it is So Long, Sucker.

They like hauling in $5,000 to $10,000 annually for 35 years - but faced with one $30,000 claim -- SO LONG SUCKER.

I haven't been a part of a group program for 25 years, where the insurance company did not dictate which doctor and which hospital I could use. There was not a whole lot of freedom in that.

By the way dear reactionary conservatives -- Did you notice today, thousands of Bush White House Emails were found hidden away -- which prove Karl Rove and several other DubYah staffers absolutely lied to the House Judiciary Committee about the reason for firing U.S. Attorneys.

Karl Rove and others in the White House were clearly involved totally in getting those U.S. Attornies fired because they refused to launch politically motivated investigations of Democrats.

Bill Clinton being caught with his zipper down and trying top deny it,was grounds for impeachment.

DubYah Bush's White House staff pushing official Justice Department purges for purely political reasons was Illegal, violated the CONSTITUTION and a whole bunch of federal laws -- and now we will hear from the DUBYAH AND THE DRAFT DODGERS FAN CLUB -- THAT it really wasn't that serious.

May not be serious, but if it is prosecuted by the congressmen who were openly lied to -- it sure as Hell will end up as felonies.

By the time the House investigators get through digging through those thousands of Emails -- don't be surprised if SHOTGUN CHENEY, Scooter Libby and a bunch of others show up committing crimes.

Does anyone remember the near 100% conviction rate for the Nixon White House Senior Staff?

Remember that great American Hero, Spiro Agnew, sent to prison for official corruption?

-- Posted by HerndonHank on Wed, Aug 12, 2009, at 7:10 PM

Hank,

You're the typical liberal. You start crying racism when racism wasn't even passively mentioned in anything I said. I only address this to point out to others, the complete idiocy of the extreme left as they try branding people they disagree with as racist.

You said you made all your living will decisions between you, your doctor, attorney and life partner which doesn't bother me one way or the other. I'm just saying that the government should not FORCE anyone to have that discussion and they certainly shouldn't be forced to discuss it every five years.

Nobody has said the term "death panel" refers to the people you speak to privately of your own free will. I honestly wonder if you even realize what you're talking about not mention whether you understand what other people are talking about. As I said earlier death panels is just another term like the death tax. The term "death panel" refers to the Health Exchange board set up under the bill which has the Surgeon General automatically appointed to the board along with several other people that are appointed by the President for 3 year terms and only one person on that board is required to be a doctor the rest can be a mixture of people with any loose affiliation to the health industry, insurance industry and racial disparity experts among other fields, to make decisions affecting health care choices available to people. They will decide what will and will not be covered for various risk groups. Risk groups can be determined by age, lifestyle or any specific condition. The bill does not limit the power of this board in any way to deny coverage based on age, in fact, varying ages fall under varying risk groups which can be used in determining coverage by this board. It does exist, it's not a figment of anyone's imagination and it gives unprecedented power to people's health options to a group of political appointees.

$5,000 to $10,000 a year 35 years ago, really? You could buy a brand new Trans Am in 1974 for $4,708 but you've been paying $5,000-10,000 annually for 35 years, wow. That actually makes insurance look good. If it was $5,000 a year, 35 years ago then $10,000 today would mean its only doubled since 35 years ago. Car prices on the other hand have gone up about 700% in the past 35 years. Of course I know your statement is exaggerated but I thought I would point out how ridiculous it would be if people actually took your words as fact.

A $30,000 claim is nothing these days. Women can look at around $10,000 or more just for giving birth.

Every plan I've looked at has a list of doctors you can go to as well. It's a looooong list and just about every doctor is in that list. If they're not, you can ask the doctor you go to what plans they are in and choose that plan.

First, they charge you $5,000 to $10,000 annually for 35 years and then they drop you for a measley $30,000 claim with such an egreciously limited choice of doctors?! Maybe you should think about switching companies. Preferably to one not operating under a B rating and not headquartered in a garage.
