Rex W. Huppke, in his article on the ChicagoTribune.online, June 25th / 2009 reports, almost glowingly, about Nettlehorst ELEMENTARY school, and the schools intention to march in Chicago's homosexual parade. Quoting Mr. Huppke, "The black metal fence in front of Nettlehorst Elementary School is obscured by thousands of strips of dyed fabric - yellows giving way to greens, then blues, purple and reds - each one tied on by the small hands of a student." Excuse me while I hurl. What do the Nettlehorst teachers tell the kiddies? "Okay third graders! Today, instead of learning to read, let's all learn about homosexual sodomy!"
The "small hands" of the student should be engaged in dodge-ball or reading Dick and Jane, not discovering the wonders of deviancy. Of course you realize that God Almighty, or any talk about Christ would be treated like leprosy, and forbidden in these State Indoctrination Centers. Here in our small town, you may ask how news like this affects us? Well, for one thing, you are paying for it. More correctly stated, your children and grandchildren are paying for this dribble. The left starts this garbage in the bigger cities, where the unGoldly leftist wacko Teachers Unions, control the school districts. Then, unfortunately, this trash gets pushed down to us. It won't be long before all school districts are required to have some day celebrating homosexuality. Mr Huppke reports that out of the over five hundred elementary students at the school, EIGHT are known to live with homosexuals or lesbians. Let's have a parade! Why limit this type of activity to just homosexual causes? Why not a parade for one-legged midget transvestites? Or a parade for men who insist on riding bicycles without seats? Or a parade for battered husbands? I flat guarantee that there are more than eight kids, with battered dads, in that "school". No Jesus allowed, lets talk about sodomy. Let's get these kids ready for the serious homosexual indoctrination coming their way in Middle School. I bring this "stuff" to your attention as a warning to the true agenda of our government owned, and union run, schools. Education is not in the kids future, indoctrination is. Good blog, Sam. I can only repeat what I have said before -Parents do whatever you have to do to get your children out of these indoctrination centers.

You didn't realize that? Taxpayer 101: Local schools use state aid and states use federal aid to fund state aid programs. McCook taxpayers pay for that federal aid in the form of taxes paid to the federal government. So, yes, McCook taxpayers pay for the schooling of children in Illinois and vice versa too.
The gay parade is done as much as a political statement as it is a celebration. I don't think we should force kids to be used for a political movement especially when they are still learning reading, writing and math. I just don't see any legitimate reason to have these young kids in the parade as a part of their schooling. If it was an anti-gay rights parade would it have been ok? I don't think so because I don't think these kids need to be manipulated for one group's political purposes either way.

Why does Intelligent Design have to be taught in schools for you to believe that God or Jesus is still in schools?

Ben Nelson, while defending his votes for the so called stimulus bill, pointed to millions upon millions of this stolen money, to be funded into Nebraska Schools, mostly the larger school districts.
And with all federal money (now - money borrowed from China, or stolen from future generations) comes with strings attached. Those strings are often in the form of leftist religious dogma.
I was not aware that Intelligent Design was being taught in Public Schools. Is it? I would welcome that news Michael.
