Quiet Please

My friends, I think you have heard quite enough of me for the time being. I am glad I was able to voice my concerns about the direction and future of our country, but there comes a point where you have to face facts.

The leftists are most definitely is in control of the United States, and as Rush says, "elections have consequences". No amount of bloviating on my point can change that fact, for the moment.

I view leftists as a bunch of willful and spoiled children. Willful and spoiled kids have got to learn things the hard way. They don't listen when you try and point out the consequences of wrong behavior, and stupid decisions.

The folks on the left, think they are in the right to make extraordinary moves to control everyone's' life. They think they have Utopia, just mere moments away, if folks like me will just shut the hell up.

Okay, I will. I'll shut up, and eagerly await the all of the promises you leftists make for American Utopia and world peace. Bring on your universal health care.

(Quick! Someone call Chastity Bono and tell her to wait a while to have her sex change operation. If she can hold on a few more months, Obama Care can pay for her addadictomy)

In my own personal travels, I run into basically two types of folks: Those who are shocked and appalled at what has happened, and is happening, to this country, and those who think Obama is the answer, if we'd just give him a chance. I really don't know what arguing with you folks on the left is going to do to change that.

The spoiled kids are about to learn a harsh lesson. Sooner or later the bills will come due.

As Golden Earning sang in their song, Twilight Zone, "you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone."

And I am sure that some of you will appreciate the time off from Sam's rants. The next few months will see some incredible events, I have no doubt, as you on the left move forward with your agenda.

We on the right have tried to point out the consequences of these actions. Some kids just have to touch the hot stove, or stick their fingers in the light socket.

So, enjoy the time off from my big mouth. I'll be back, I am not quite sure when. Probably when the outhouse goes up in flames, and it is apparent to all, that liberalism, and the leftist delusion is a catastrophic failure.

Have a nice summer folks. God Bless

I reserve the right to come back and irritate the left any time I think it will do any good.

Reading the responses concerning missile defense and unprotected ports.

Having stood for hours in Airport Security Checkpoint lines for nearly eight years, I am no newcomer to criticism of that nonsense.

We now know Shotgun Cheney's old outfit has DEFRAUDED U.S. taxpayerS of more than $34-BILLION.

Properly applied, that and other money wasted through NO BID, SWEETHEART contracts for Bush/Cheney cronies would have created optimum security for the nation's container ports and terminals.

Instead, few of the several hundred thousand containers arriving here annually are properly inspected.

Anyone of those containers, being efficiently loaded onto a long-haul truck or stacked two high on rail cars, could contain Weapons of Mass Destruction.

This dumb old Country Boy has been screaming since about six months after the airport security posts went up -- manned by illiterate and incompetent immigrants at nearly every major airport -- That this nonsense was purely COSMETIC and USELESS.

Last year, some clown climbed through a four-strand barbed wire fence at the back of an International Airport, walked across two runways, across the taxiways, climbed into a jet at the ramp and was sitting in the pilot's seat when discovered.

While this was going on, you can bet a 60-something grandmother in a wheelchair was being "wanded" because of her steel hip and knee implants.

By the way, every GTA (Grand Theft Auto) detective in American knows newer stolen cars are being loaded into containers and shipped overseas in volume.

Guess what, there is no system to prevent annual shipments of stolen cars totalling well into the Billions.

This is the Homeland Securitysystem planned and purchased by DubYah and the Draft Dodgers.

Including the $2-BILLION in worthless fencing along about 375 miles of a 2,000 mile southern border.

Meantime, ocean going freighters, fishing trawlers and barges are dropping illegals from around the world into high-speed inflatable boats (a la the Navy Seals' ZODIACs) and sending them onto isolated beaches from Maine down to the Florida Keys, and around to South Padre Island in west Texas, plus another flotilla sending illegals onto West Coast beaches.

Sam,

Still hope to see you back, writing of the real life on the open road.

By autumn, a lot of things will change.

Nationally, money from somewhere is coming back into the housing market. For the first time in nearly four years.

Some new guys just fought it out for the U.S. Open championship.

Albert Pujols is presenting his credentials as possibly the best MBL player of this decade.

This weekend's NBA draft is gonna be a doozy.

The tornadoes this season seem to be bigger.

A miserable wheat harvest in the southern regions of Texas is showing better yields and better quality in Kansas -- and most of Nebraska's wheat acreage's yield should be exceptional.

Good running Sam, keep the dirty side down and hopefully you won't shred any recaps. We'll never agree on politics even when 2016 and 2024 roll around, and by 2032 for certain, I won't give a hoot after they plant me.

But hopefully, you'll be raising cane with someone.

Either that or catching big fish on light tackle.

Yes Mike, That's why they were on 2 different posts!! DUUUUH!!

-- Posted by marcus elvis erogenous on Fri, Jun 19, 2009, at 9:51 AM

First it was Chris Matthews and now it's the "liberal" editor of Newsweek calling him "sort of God". You guys really need to get your stories straight.

Appreciating someone because they can deliver a good speech and comparing them to a deity are two totally different things.

-- Posted by MichaelHendricks on Thu, Jun 18, 2009, at 10:55 AM

Oh, Mike, wasn't it the liberal editor of Newsweek that said Obama was "sort of God"??

-- Posted by marcus elvis erogenous on Thu, Jun 18, 2009, at 7:24 AM

Sorry, I just don't get a tingle up my leg when he opines!!

-- Posted by marcus elvis erogenous on Wed, Jun 17, 2009, at 10:16 PM

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the fearmongering of the right.

-- Posted by MichaelHendricks on Wed, Jun 17, 2009, at 2:06 PM

Why are you on the right so intent on proclaiming Obama the lord savior? It's weird.

Also, where were you when Bushco asked as to give up our rights? You were awfully silent then. But I'm still trying to figure out what rights we are giving up under Obama. I haven't given up any of my rights.

-- Posted by MichaelHendricks on Wed, Jun 17, 2009, at 10:33 AM

And look at that on Rasmussen Obama is +5.

-- Posted by MichaelHendricks on Wed, Jun 17, 2009, at 10:31 AM

They don't even need missiles.......All they have to do is put a nuke in the hold of a cargo ship bound for San Francisco, or L.A., or any port on the left coast!!

-- Posted by marcus elvis erogenous on Tue, Jun 16, 2009, at 9:21 PM

jhat, His Lordship Obama spent more than that taking over General Motors. I think the security of our country is worth more than an automobile company!! Besides, who's to say the N. Koreans won't improve on their technology and build a missile that will reach San Francisco??

-- Posted by marcus elvis erogenous on Tue, Jun 16, 2009, at 8:54 PM

marcus,

You're right. $10.3 billion isn't enough spending to protect us from a country who so far has only barely managed to make a missile capable of hitting the ground.

http://worldsecurityinstitute.org/temp/M...

-- Posted by jhat on Tue, Jun 16, 2009, at 7:13 PM

Obama's "popularity" is going to take a nose dive!! Especially after the lefties on the left coast realize that there is a lunatic on the loose in North Korea with nuclear missiles aimed at them. What is Obama's answer? Cut the missile defense budget by 1.6 Billion!! Real smart, Mr. Harvard graduate!!

-- Posted by marcus elvis erogenous on Tue, Jun 16, 2009, at 6:45 PM

Just dust in the wind.Wait until we have no rights what so ever. And if you don't think so,set back and look at the BIG picture.FREEDOM FREE AMERICA.

And if you follow Rasmussen you know those numbers change wildly on a daily basis. Last week in a three day span he went from +7 to +2 to +5.

Just today his ratings are back up to +4. I follow it everyday but it's not the only one I follow.

If you go to www.pollstar.com they offer up many different tracking devices that include every poll that is released in the United States. His job approval is at 59%, his favorable rating is at 62%. Also a number that I think is more indicitive is the right direction, wrong direction poll which, as of yesterday, is nearly even at 47.1% wrong and 44% right. This is the closest it has been in Obama's VERY EARLY term.

I also think it is VERY IMPORTANT to keep in mind that Obama is just now going through his sixth month as being president. I realize that we are in a culture today as a country of the quick instant fix, but this economy isn't going to be fixed quickly. As the president said we need to be patient. There are signs that the economy is correcting and that things are getting better but it is still going to take time.

Mike,

I would argue that the opposite is true. Obama's poll numbers are down. Check this out from Rasmussen Reports:

The top number, the Approval Index is more like a popularity poll. Being President isn't a popularity contest, it's how he does his job that counts!! Those numbers are clearly down!!

Wow that sounds just like Bush, but actually he got elected because people wanted to have a beer with him.

Who would have thought our society had dipped do much that it wasn't whether you were smart or knew what you were doing or had good ideas but whether or not people wanted to have a beer with you.

I'll take Obama over Bush anyday. At least Obama knows what he is doing and doing fine at doing it. Yes people are truly starting to come around, that's why his poll numbers stay high.

Sam, your fans will surely miss you. Have a great summer, enjoy your family and hurry back. I think there are a great many folks out there beginning to see Obama as a man in a cheap suit. Looks real good at first but doesn't wear well.

Naturally, after condemning a comedian for making jokes about Bristol, he comes back in his last (?) blog for awhile and makes fun of Chastity Bono. Very classy.

Good luck Sam, I think you'll see pretty quick that it is hard to leave the McCook Gazette blog scene. This is coming from my own experience.

High Plains Journal and friends are backing a Wheat Harvest website, letting us follow two familys on the custom combine circuit this summer.

One family from the Dakotas, one from Nebraska.

They are reporting life on the harvest trail, well into Texas and Oklahoma.

Sam, you are a pleasure to read, informing everyone of the truckers' world.

Don't leave us, tell us of the life of the last Free Men.

Remember the warning issued more than 70 years ago.

"That Democrat ic lunatic will destroy American. We will not survive four years of Franklin Roosevelt as president."

And nearly 150 years ago --{That Illinois Baboon will force the destruction of these United States."

Sam, You will be missed by me, although I will be talking to you from time to time. I love reading your rants!! If more people spoke out like you, there may have been a different outcome of the last election. I am, however, waiting to see what 2010 has in store for the libs. I firmly believe there will be a changing of the guard in the house and the senate. Kind of reminds you of the Clinton era!! The Republicans dragged him kicking and screaming to a balanced budget. Have a great summer, Sam. Enjoy your new grandchildren!!

SAM,

Tonight Lebanon has elected a pro-American government, the Old Guard in Iran will probably steal the election, but they have lost the war against their own people.

The liberal left is howling after Obama's hide because he is a pure centrist. He is a moderate placed by Bush/Cheney in an incredibly difficult situation.

Militarily, he has moved to see that U.S. service men and women engaged in combat TODAY have the needed equipment, weapons and supplies to protect their own lives and achieve victory.

A need that was ignored for six and one half years by the Conservatives who put them into Harms' Way/.

Michelle Obama spoke to graduates of the newest, smallest Univ. of California campus in Merced County. They won't have any hope of an effective alumni association for 20 years.

There was no political gain. The campus is in the heart of the most conservative farm belt of California's Central Valley. Her presence for that commencement won't affect any elections.

Back here at Fort Bragg, where 90% of the soldiers have spent less than 20% of their time at home for more than six years, Mrs. Obama went into a enlisted families only session, and insisted the brass leave the room. The women report she asked the tough questions and understood their situation of surviving on short rations, because enlisted men's Home Rations allowance ends when he goes back into combat. [Thanks for risking your life, here's a pay cut.]

Memorial Day, the wounded at Walter Reed Hospital got a private visit from the President. No photogs, no press -- Just wounded men and the President.

Yesterday and today, I've talked with more than 100 real estate professionals across North Carolina. These are almost totally conservative business people. They report the economy in this region is coming back.

The conservative business reality -- the national economy functioning at full steam will generate enough additional tax revenue to repay all the stimulous and bailout money within two years.

Some banks are already repaying their bailout money.

If Obama has allowed the economy to continue it free fall, without stepping in -- the resulting depression would have made the 1930s appear to be a rehearsal.

The Great Depression, beginning with Black Friday in 1929, was allowed to free fall for three more years after Black Friday.

Had this current disaster been allowed 2008, 2009 and 2010 for continued decline, the nation might not have recovered.

Take pride in you ability and desire to be a good commercial driver and put in a full month's work for your paycheck. That's the AmericaNn way.

But quit worrying about this country going to Hell.

Quit worrying about Liberals trying to control you.

Liberals are not tryng to put morality cops in every bedroom, are not trying to control personal lives.

Most liberals are opposed to drunk drivers, they are opposed to big rigs operated by pill popping Meth Heads -- And don't try to tell me you have never seen a hopped up driver.

it would be great if no state had to operate weigh stations, but you know the reality -- drivers trying to support families would haul 200,000 lb. loads if it paid better than 40,000 lbs. So every state has multiple scales supported by overweight and equipment fines.

Those aren't liberal cops enforcing the law. But, they are out there to control the last of the Free Men -- because those Free Men cannot control themselves in pursuit of a buck.

Sam, please e-mail me, so I can fwd you a booklet that seems to possibly have some of the answers to where PBHO is getting some of his ideas for taxation: navyblue@swnebr.net

In Messiah. Arley

-- Posted by Navyblue on Fri, Jun 12, 2009, at 6:26 PM

Sam, Shalom. Rural Citizen may well be right about Conservatives learning how to 'lose tastefully...' Perhaps it is time for the 'secret weapon' from the Conservative cabinet, the 'Silence Gun.' If there is one thing a Liberal usually cannot stand, is silence from the opposition.

We did loose the election. PBHO is obligating, IMO, the nation into oblivion (I pray not, but...), and when sanity returns to the people, I fear it may be too late to recover.

Now, there is also the chance we are wrong, and the Liberals are correct (small chance, IMO, but...).

Let the Conservatives do what we know best, survival without governmental welfare, until we have been taxed out of a job. But then, once we start loosing our jobs, so shall the Liberals. Then, perhaps we can regain our sanity.

And in Center Ring, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Liberal Mega-Give-Away, with money we do not have, for people who do not have. And we thought life till now was expensive. We soon will need a two wheeled cart to carry the money for a 'pound of wheat, or three pounds of Barley.' Christians, on both sides, will know what I mean.

Pray for our salvation from Liberalism. Arley

-- Posted by Navyblue on Fri, Jun 12, 2009, at 6:19 PM

Steffanie, don't you think it was painful to watch for the last 8 years? Guess you are getting a taste of your own medicine. You need to learn how to lose tastefully and respect others' opinions. That's one thing I've found with righty's...they don't know how to lose.

-- Posted by Rural Citizen on Fri, Jun 12, 2009, at 4:38 PM

Don't shush unless YOU want to shush - in any event, keep it on the hardtop, Sam, we'll be waiting. God bless.

-- Posted by newdawn on Fri, Jun 12, 2009, at 4:32 PM

And you think it's been all hunky dorey with the rights in charge? There has got to be a happy medium otherwise why do we live in this country?

-- Posted by Rural Citizen on Fri, Jun 12, 2009, at 4:25 PM

"In my own personal travels, I run into basically two types of folks: Those who are shocked and appalled at what has happened, and is happening, to this country, and those who think Obama is the answer, if we'd just give him a chance."

I think you run in far too polarizing circles. We all tend to believe that most people act in a similar way that we do. I think because you are so partisan in your views you feel everyone else must be as partisan as well. Most people I know are neither shocked and appalled nor believe Obama is the answer. Most of us fall somewhere in the middle. I could be wrong.

Anyway, have a good summer Sam.
