Eagle EggsPosted Friday, June 5, 2009, at 1:24 AM
A dozen or so years ago, there was a Denver Pastor, Pastor Bob, who had a nightly live TV show, with callers. In one particular episode, Pastor Bob started the show by mentioning that he had found an eagle nest, and inside the nest were two eagle eggs. He held up the eggs for the audience to see, and stated that he had never eaten eagle eggs, and was going to give it a try, live on TV. Pastor Bob took calls, while his staff brought a fryer on set, and plugged it in, and much to the horror of the callers, he fried, then began to eat, the eggs. Callers were hysterical. "You're breaking the law!" One lady screamed. "I'm calling the cops." Other callers said they had already called the police. Another lady was so upset, she was in tears. "You're killing eagles!" Pastor Bob explained that he was not killing eagles, he was eating eagle eggs. "Eggs are not eagles," Pastor Bob replied. "If you'd leave them alone they would be!" She hollered. When it comes to eagles, some leftists see life in the embryo. Funny how they cannot see the same thing when it comes to human babies. Enlightenment, when it happens, is the treasure of knowledge. (I want to make sure you Emotionals don't get too upset at this story. The eggs were not eagle eggs, so relax. Pastor Bob was just making a brilliant point) _ The longer they have them, the dumber they get. Walter Williams, brilliant professor at George Mason University in a June 3rd, 2009 article in Townhall.com talked about how the American education system is having a hard time being what the left says it is. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, (OECD) measured US students to other advanced nations. The result? The US students ranked 25th out of 30 in Math and Science. Not hard to believe at all. Maybe they should have tested the students on Earth Day subjects, or putting condoms on cucumbers. The US Students may have done better. The other interesting fact in this report was that at lower grades, the US students tested better. However, the longer the US students remain in the State Indoctrination Centers (Public Schools) the worse the US kids measured against students around the world. Oh, and I bet you are glad to hear that Harvard University is creating a professorship in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender studies. How nice. Screw math and science, lets teach kids all about the wonders of weirdness. ___ News from the Obama (in)Justice Department. First, the inJustice Department has decided to drop charges against black panthers who stood, armed with bats, outside polling places in Philly, and intimidated voters. (Got to make sure Philly votes for Obama in the next election) Also, the inJustice department, headed by Eric Holder, now will stand against the State of Georgia in their attempts to require a drivers license or social security card to vote. (Got to make sure all those illegals can vote, and vote for Democrats) A few weeks ago, I was at one of the biggest and best travel plazas in the USA, the giant TA Travel Center west of Phoenix at Tonopah. I was on line at the counter, waiting to pay for my goodies, and in front of me, was a very distinguished man in his seventies. He had a hand carved cane, grey hair, and grey beard, and struggled to walk. After paying with a credit card for his fuel, he asked the cashier for one of the rum-soaked cigars they had on display. The cashier announces to him that she needs to see his identification. Of course, the elderly man protested, saying that he was obviously of age. The clerk informs him that Arizona law requires ANYONE who purchases a tobacco product, must show ID. The elderly man continued to protest. The clerk, a young Hispanic woman, kept insisting that he had to go back out to his RV, and bring in his drivers license to get the cigar. I was standing there, and being the big-mouth that I am, I said, "maybe you should have told her you wanted to vote. No ID required." Several people on line with me, laughed, and the lady behind the counter chirped, "that's not funny." Suddenly, the elderly man whacks his cane down on the counter. Wham! The veins on his neck are sticking out, the guy was ticked off. "I will go get my drivers license," he says, "when you show me your drivers license." Oh my! The Hispanic gal behind the counter goes crazy. She hollers at the old man to get moving. The elderly mans wife, who had been standing by quietly, now gets involved, and tells the clerk to get the manager. The clerk refuses, and the elderly man refuses to move. Standoff. Two minutes go by, more people get in line, and the old man refuses to move. The clerk threatens to call the police, the old man says, "Call 'em! I am not moving." Finally, the manager shows up, hands the man his cigar, and says, "no charge." In leftist America, ID required for a young looking adults to by tobacco products, yet, illegals have unfettered access to our voting process (and Democrats want to keep it that way) and taxpayers goodies. What is Obama's immigration policy? Easy. Buy thirty million votes with amnesty. Are you ready to pay the bill? Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Dear Sam,
Back about 25-35 years ago, there were two studies regarding education in the U.S. of A.
The one -- Either from Auburn or Clemson, investigated the university and college educations of teachers.
Turned out teachers nationwide were in the bottom 25% of their graduating classes academically.
Worse yet, PHYSICAL EDUCATION MAJORS (Coaches) were among the bottom 1-5% academically, averaging about the 3% level.
In short, the dumbest of the dumb academically.
At the same time, more than 75% of public school administrators were P.E. teachers and coaches, some former coaches.
Consider the implications.
The second study came from the Univ. of Texas department of Community College Education.
They studied the top 100 academically rated high school districts in the U.S. of A. in an effort to determine what produced these school's success.
The districts included a few very high-income communities and a few very low-income communities.
For ten years, the Texas researchers could not find a common denominator.
Finally they identified the one factor which every district withing the top 100 academic programs shared.
An administrator -- Superintendent, principal or one of their assistants -- visited the home of every new student coming into their high school.
EVERY new student. In every situation, they explained the school's policies, the student rule book, dress codes, attendance policy and they presented the parents or guardians a graph-- showing the Lifetime Incomes of High School Dropouts, High School Graduates with a "B" or better grade average, High School Honor Roll graduates, Community College graduates, Four-year College Graduates, Masters Degree holders and people with Doctoral degrees.
Working with parents with two to four years of education and those with more formal school experience, the administrators sought to prove the value of education.
Obviously, they did not succeed with every family.
But, this approach eventually placed every one of these Top 100 districts at the top.
Across the country, teachers remain the lowest- paid university educated profession. Many of these teachers continue their educations to receive Masters degrees and Doctorates.
Yet, I've known far too many, who eventually sold their homes, cashed in insurance policies, withdrew retirement funds and bought their own big-rig to go on the road as long haul truckers -- because they could make several times as much annual income as in the classroom.
Others leave teaching to manage businesses, become lab technicians, corporate training officers, etc. -- so they can double, triple, quadruple their incomes.
Yet, any suggestion of adequate pay for teachers is rebuffed by the majority of voters.
A high percentage of those "aginners" justify their position on theological and political philosophy grounds.
Reality, they don't want to pay the taxes.
So Japanese automakers who require math skills taught to every student in Japanese high schools, must hire former math teachers to provide those skills in their U.S. of A. factories.
So when you eat eggs, you consider yourself eating chicken? I know I don't.
The reason I would be against people eating Eagle eggs is because Eagles are (actually WERE) endangered of going into extinction. If there were only a few thousand humans left, I'd probably be against abortion (not for any ethical reason, but for the practical reason of avoiding extinction of the species).
Steffanie,
Not sure what you are trying to say there. I'd say "gloppy mass" is a fairly good description of the inside of an egg.
Or are you trying to say eating an eagle egg and human egg are equivalent logically?
sam, you're just not going to stop until you completely trash the education system, are you? I've never seen one person filled with as much as you have and still called himself a christian.
Just to let you know I'm not going to argue with you anymore on education. It's not worth it. You say it's the fault of the "liberal" teachers that are children are failing the tests, but you don't really give any evidence to support that. In the end it's just your opinion. How about showing that school districts have hardly any money, can't afford to replace old textbooks (until a new adoption which is typically every five years), can't afford new equipment. Most of the money that schools get to build their schools is from the community and let's face it, the support is lacking in towns.
McCook is a good example. About ten years ago their was, on the ballot, a tax increase to build a new elementary. It was soundly defeated. Yet a year later another tax was on the ballot to build a new building for our older citizens. It was highly supported and passed overwhelmingly. By the way I voted yes on both.
But you are going to continue to pass your uniformed lies off as facts and then demand that everyone else be responsible for providing facts to disprove your lies. It's just not worth it because in the end you will simply ignore those facts and continue to promote your lies as truth.
So just keep on keeping on.
Actually yes I do love trivia.
Michael - this was Walter Williams with the report. I did not make it up. You on the left want "we the people" to pay up and shut up when it comes to schools.
I have not told any lies. I know what bugs you, a desire to continue to let the Teachers Unions run everything, decide everything, and "we the people" just hand over the money...and more money...and more money...and more money.
"We the people" have done just that for way too long.
I want teachers in the classrooms, not America haters with an agenda.
I want the children to get an education, not a freakin' indoctrination.
As for the schools in our immediate area, I think they are way above the national average. The schools in our area is why I moved here.
Eventually, Teachers' Union politics will filter on down and corrupt even our small schools. Local schools, in their thirst for the EVER INCREASING need for money, will be under pressure sell out the locals for the Fed's cash. (Which they stole from us to begin with)
Is every single teacher a flaming leftist, ready to turn our kids in to Obamamaniacs? No, but far too many are, and they silence reasonable debate.
There is only one way taught in the nations' public schools, and that is the leftist way. I plan to fight you leftists, and your choke hold on our schools. Your monopoly of thought is over Michael.
I was extremely proud when my daughter decided to become a teacher. She works damn hard, for not much money, and is trying to do it the right way.
I wonder sometimes if the teachers aren't being pushed around by a bunch of angry, politically motivated education bureaucrats. Are they?
-
Poor Guill - are you getting the attention you so desperately need?
_
Jhat - good question. I guess I hadn't thought of that. No, I don't think I am eating a chicken when I eat an egg. LOL You have me there.
_
Hank - I enjoyed your comments. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.
_
Steffanie - The big Planned Parenthood baby killing center at 20th & Vine in Denver, did at one time, just throw the killed babies out in the dumpster. After some fine folks uncovered this gruesome fact, the abortion mill hired 24 hour live security to protect their trash. The abortionists would treat the remains of a dog, better than they do humans.
Sam, you link to an article about failing grades in school and you think that proves that children are being indoctrinated?
That's a pretty far stretch even by the wildest of imaginations.
Just one question, sam, why do you turn EVERYTHING into a war?
You like to say, sam, that you don't practice in hate, but isn't calling EVERYONE who doesn't agree with you America haters, hate?
I certainly disagree with your views and yes things you have said, specifically constantly attacking my profession, makes me angry and I respond, but I don't think you hate America, I just think you hate.
Sam,
Mr. Hendricks sure hates truth doesn't he? Typical liberal, full of hate, and accuses everyone of what he has in his heart.
Every time Mr. Hendricks looses an argument, he cries hate. Very sad.
Mr. Inglaterra is kind of a joke isn't he? I notice that you don't take him seriously. Who would?
I have been busy and not able to respond to some of the blogs. I will try and stay on top of things. I am having to work extra hard to keep alive under this Obama recession, soon to be depression.
Please keep up the good work. God Bless you Sam. You know when you speak truth, liberals hate. It is in their blood.
Hey Monte - glad to hear from you. I know what you mean about Obamanomics. I am in Columbus Ohio, you should hear what folks around here are saying about good ole Obama.
Regarding Michael. I don't think he hates, although you are right, he sure cries about hate allot. Many times, it is the only weapon the religious left has. They don't have truth, or history, or even a clue. They have Emotion.
Michael has simply been brainwashed by the leftists, as many have been. You have to confront brainwashed folks, and try and shake out the lies, they so steadfastly believe.
I told Michael some weeks ago, that I was having to work twice as hard, for half the money since Obama became President. Michaels' answer was to blame BUSH! Hilarious.
As far as Guillermo, mostly I just ignore him. I want him to continue to mouth off, he so easily betrays his ignorance.
Regarding hate. Hate is a way of life for the religious left. It is all they know. Jesus said, "they hate me, they will hate you." I do not take it personally.
I know how I could end their hatred of me, just sell out. I don't care if they hate me, I care about my country. We need to stand against this hideous attempt to destroy America. I appreciate your support friend. God Bless you as well.
Sam,
You are working late again. Your comments about immigration were not refuted. They can't refute them, because it is the truth.
I notice that Mr. Hendricks likes to accuse you of lying. Don't pay any attention to it, and I know you don't.
Good night BRO!
Thanks again my friend. I do not let these poor souls get under my skin. Like I said, I don't take it personally, even though...they mean it personally.
The leftists know what Obama's immigration plan is, and they will follow along, like the followers they are.
Monte, and I am sure you know this already, the driving force behind the religious left, is hatred. Hatred of God, hatred of America. The Emotionals would gladly give citizenship to untold millions of illegals, for the votes, to retain power.
With the power they seek, they will continue their war against God, and against Christians.
Pray hard!
Oh yessir I sure have been brainwashed mister sameldridge. You caught me.
Ladies and gentlemen I present RMontana, I mean Sceptre, I mean G5.
How long before you get booted off this time RMontana for your hate filled racist rants against anyone not white.
Mr. Hendricks,
I do not know what you are talking about. G5? Septre? I have made no hate filled racists' rants. All I have done is point out what a bonehead you are. Is this how you win arguments? You are embarrassing yourself.
I am not this person you said I am, and you really are a bonehead.
Monte - I apologize for Michael's comments to you. There was a guy on here for a while, G5, who often agreed with me, but made very over the top, and yes...even racist comments.
I have read every one of your comments, and there is not one single racist comment, or even the hint of a racist comment.
I am not sure if Michael really thinks you are this guy, or if he just wants to plant the seed that you are, so that your comments can be dismissed. I suppose I am to blame for some of this. I did ratchet up the rhetoric quite a bit. So many vile things were happening, so fast, I felt a sense of urgency.
Michael - In my heart, I think I know you. I "think" I know, I am not God. I believe, however misguided I think you are, that you are a sincere individual. You are sincerely wrong almost all the time, in my not so humble opinion, but I think you are a true seeker of knowledge.
One day, I honestly believe, Light will hit you like a safe falling from a tall building. In fact, I am just about to write about one such man.
There has been too much stern rhetoric from me, as I get angry, I am not perfect, just a passionate guy, as you are.
I will work to try and tone down some of my rhetoric, and I would appreciate it if you'd not call folks, who might actually agree with me, a racist. Neither one of us, at this point, is really doing much for our cause.
Mr. Inglaterra,
You can think what you want.
Sam writes with passion and sincerity. Sometimes, he is a bit strong, and Sam admits that.
I also know that he has literally wiped the floor with you and Mr. Hendricks. He does it repeatedly, and all you have is your liberal brainwashing with which to respond, or mean spirited retorts, filled with rage and sarcasm.
I know it has to be irritating, to have some truck driver kick your intellectual fanny's all the time.
Considering how you "worship" (using Sam's language) Obama, you are on thin ice accusing anyone of being a butt-kisser.
Monte - buddy, you are wasting your time trying to reason with this guy.
Thanks for your kind words regarding my efforts. I would sincerely appreciate your continued prayers. I gladly welcome the prayers of a hayseed.
God Bless you Monte.
Yeah bro I'm sure am glad you are on here to tell me just how wrong I am about everything.
Actually I have to laugh when you say that Sam admits when he is rough or condescending or just downright hateful. I've never heard him admit that. All I've heard him say is that everyone else is being that way.
You know it's funny the only people that are comparing Obama to a god are almost exclusively on the right.
Michael - you have the wonderful ability not to let the facts get in the way of your opinion.
I try to use facts in all my opinions. I assume you are talking about our education debate, where I used actually evidence from my teaching and other teachers and you kept using what you had heard and your own opinion to chastise me for daring to suggest that the American Education System wasn't a liberal indoctrination network. That's just a guess.
Here's a better question. What if you are wrong about everything sam? What do you do then? If I am wrong, it's simple I make my amends and apologies and move on. What will you do?
Talk about butt kissing! Wow! Maybe you two should get a room.
Here's an open question. Obama recently said that he was a citizen of the world. Are you?
