"It has been said that anyone who seeks success or greatness should first forget about both and seek only truth, the rest will follow." RR - March 20, 1981 "You and I are told we much choose between left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as left or right. There is only an up or down." RR - 1964 "The Founding Fathers knew a government can't control the economy without controlling people." RR - 1964 "Public servants say, always with the best of intentions, "What greater service we could render if only we had a little more money and a little more power." But the truth is that outside of its legitimate function, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector." RR - 1964 "Every dictator who ever lived has justified the enslavement of his people on the theory of what was good for the majority." RR - January 25, 1974 "We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life - the unborn - without diminishing the value of all human life." RR - 1983 "Our confidence flows not from our skill at maneuvering through political mazes, not from our ability to make the right deal at the right time, nor from any idea of playing one interest group off against the other. Unlike our opponents, who find their glee in momentary political leverage, we nourish our strength of purpose from a commitment to ideals that we deeply believe are not only right, but that work." RR - 1987 "We need only to believe in ourselves and give men and women of faith, courage, and vision the freedom to build it. Let them call you greedy for not wanting government to take more and more of your earnings. Let them defend their tombstone society of wage and price guidelines, mandatory quotas, tax increases, planned shortages, and shared sacrifices." RR- march 2, 1984 "You see, those who underestimate the conservative movement are the same people who always underestimate the American people." RR - February 11, 1988
Oh my, could we use another Ronald Wilson Reagan. I hope you all have a blessed Easter. My Easter 2009 prayer: Father God, I thank you for your Son, and His sacrifice that we may live. His actions were one of Mercy. Mercy we had no right to claim, rather Mercy given by Your Grace. Father, be merciful to the United States of America I pray. There are many that have not turned their backs on You, or on what is right. Help us take the message of Redemption and Grace to the world in love and peace. Give us the courage to once again be great, and to stand against those, in our country and abroad, who would destroy what Abraham Lincoln called the last best hope of Earth. In Christ name, AMEN. God Bless You All this Easter. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Thank you, Sam. Very well said. Happy Easter! He Is Risen!
Happy Easter Sam. We could use someome who cares about the American People. Amen.
Thanks Tiney and Orville.
Hey Orville, Michael Hendricks thinks I am exaggerating regarding how we are having to work much harder for less pay since the election of Obama.
You are pro driver, am I making things up?
Stay between the lines my friend. God Bless.
The thing that scares me Sam, Is when the SO CALLED AMERICAN PEOPLE realize whats going on,I hope it's not to late. As for Mr.Hendricks this is a man with no "common sense".Common sense will take you so much farther in life. Not many Book Smart People have common sense. To bad so sad!!
I will just add my Amen! Happy Easter
Orville - Common sense is driven out of many folks in our higher education leftist indoctrination system.
That would explain how allegedly smart folks could believe that killing an unborn child is perfectly okay, but water-boarding some terrorist scum is immoral.
That would also explain Obama, going overseas to bad-mouth the United States over Nuclear weapons. The old tired liberal line about America being the only country to use a nuclear weapon. What they should realize, but cannot, is that our use of Nuclear weapons against Japan saved not only hundreds of thousands of American lives, but millions of Japanese lives as well.
So diluted are liberals in their thinking, that even this small bit of common sense eludes them.
Considering how much the liberals and leftists have polluted our education system, maybe we should re-think our voting age. It probably takes the average person, coming out of college, several years to realize that liberalism is a sad pathetic lie. A lie spun by misfits who find a protection hiding in college classrooms where they cannot be challenged or held accountable for their treachery.
There are many good kids that find themselves in a hard position in college. If they are conservatives, articulating their point of view, most often lends them to scorn, and of course, the poor grades.
One of my daughters attended a major State University. She said that during the Bush-Kerry election, students and professors, went from class to class, telling students that if Bush were re-elected, he was going to re-instate the draft, and take away student loans.
She said that kids who liked Bush were shouted down in class, and scorned by professors. I preached to my kids to keep their mouths shut, and get through school.
I know that may seem a bit cowardly, but, I reasoned, they were not there to debate these nut job professors. It would not do any good. All descent in the classroom would do was put their education in jeopardy.
While I am on my soapbox, let me state that it freakin' irritates me that our government steals our money, then loans that money to our kids for college.
Also, when I attended graduation, I was taken back by the number of useless degrees given. Degrees in liberalism basically. We need more Biologists and less Sociologists.
It seemed to me, a lowly redneck, that they were graduating mostly future government bureaucrats.
I know we need school teachers, K-12, and trust me, there are allot of hard working and dedicated teachers out there. Teaching is hard work, they work long hours, and we need 'em. It is a different story at the college level though.
It appears that we are loaded up with professors that are afraid to get out in the REAL world and make a living. Much easier just to stay in school forever and sponge off the taxpayers, the taxpayers they have so little regard for.
David Horowitz has done super research and worked hard to expose this educational Fascism. Check out his web site if you have a chance.
www.horowitzfreedomcenter.org
He was the son of two life long communists, and praise God, he saw the light. He has done super work in exposing the Socialist/Communist takeover of higher education.
Hope you had a great Easter G5. God Bless.
I would like to try to expand on this RR saying:
"We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life - the unborn - without diminishing the value of all human life." RR - 1983 "
Perhaps: (We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life - the unborn - without diminishing the value of the adults who diminish the value of the unborn, first. RR/AS - 2009)
