The Honey Do Blues

I have got myself in a pickle. Yup, I am way behind on a married man's second most important job in life, the Honey Do List. The Honey Do's may even be THE most important job for a married guy, depending on your particular "Honey".

My "Honey" has been oh so patient with me. I have put off Honey Do's for so long, and stalled with every conceivable excuse. Now, I have no choice but to put the bit in my mouth, and get my Honey Do's done.

When I am on the road and visit some beautiful place or city, I think how lucky I am. But, I fall behind at home, and when I get home, the very last thing I want to do is the Honey Do's.

My Dad had the right idea. He kept up with things so well, mom barely had invoke the Honey Do. Geez Dad, those are tough shoes to fill.

Well, I don't want to hear a bunch of whining, so I'll shut up. I am going to take a break from the road, and from this blog, for a short time to do my Honey Do's for my honey.

I know what you are thinking, "Sam! We have the world's problems to solve, and McCook and America need you on the job." Yeah right.

Maybe getting all of my Honey Do's DONE will change me. Perhaps I may even become more sensative and understanding. Miracles happen you know. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.

Friends, a sincere thanks for reading my blog. I appreciate your time and friendship. Try not to worry about me now, I am going to hang in there and make it through my test of married manhood.

I'll conquer those Honey Do Blues.

Is it possible that those of the Liberal ilk will protest you taking time off? Who would they have to lower their blood pressure? Hmmm Who would I have to vent my frustrations for me, so I don't have to sign the post? Alas! I think I'll pout!

Oh, Well.

Have a good time with the Noney-Do's....ooops,,,,did I just type 'noney?' I meant 'Honey-Do's.' There, I typed it real slow, so I got it much better this time.

Don't be gone too long, now, ya-hear?

In Messiah, His Shalom, to you and yours, Sam. Arley

Sam, before you go: I wrote this this morning, for a post on a Forum I attend, and thought you, or your adversaries might like my new prayer:

I lay my freedoms down to sleep, I pray you Lord my freedoms keep.

They'll all be gone before we wake. America has made a grave mistake.

Protect us from our stupidity, come resuscitate your family tree.

The bad guys think that they have won, but you O-Lord have just begun.

I raise my eyes up to the skies, seek only you, you tell no lies.

When Jesus rules, lies will cease to fool,

being led by God's own precious Jewel.

Amen

Arley

The funny thing about these two poems is the fact that the first one was more neutral, political-wise, and then the retaliatory one reeked of political bias. Oy vey...

Well, Sam, as you know, I've been in Florida for the last week. I've got a few Honey Do's to take care of myself.

I had a great time in Key West, went to Sloppy Joe's (Hemmingway's old hangout) on St. Patrick's Day. Man, it was like Mardi Gras!!

Well back to the Honey Do's!!

Talk to later, Bro!!
