You're Not Buggin' MePosted Thursday, March 5, 2009, at 4:19 PM
The other night, I listened to Glen Beck interview Sam Webb, the National Director of the Communist Party here in the USA. Mr. Webb says that President Obama is "a friend and ally" of the Communists' party, and that President Obama is rightfully leading America to Socialism and eventually Communism. So, there you have it. Also, did you know that the Communist Party USA enjoys "tax exempt" status? Keep that in mind as YOU pay more and more taxes. I guess I am in a real good mood today, because I see that the left is beginning to over-reach, it will not be too much longer before more Americans begin to see through the propaganda, and the honeymoon will come to an end. Even in the most passionate romances, the Honeymoon comes to an end at some point. Reality...it's a beautiful thing. You are even seeing some Congressional Democrats starting to have doubts, and express those doubts. The British Press has just received an education on the elitist mindset of the First Lady and President Obama, and I think even Europe, if you can beleive it, is beginning to understand what the Obama Presidency is all about. You see, I trust in God, and Obama can take everything away from me, and I still have God, so you libs aren't buggin' me. President Obama, in the long run, may end up being the best thing to ever happen to Conservatives. Oh sure, there are going to be some damages to deal with, but I have faith in God, and in the true American Spirit. The Bible says that God can "restore the years the locust have eaten." On the good news front, many babies are being saved from the Abortionists' sink during the Forty Days for Life. As of Day 9, fifty six babies have been spared from the liberals' idea of compassion. Did not hear about that in the Obama media? What a surprise. (not) There are still Americans out there that stand for what is right, even if they have to take heat for it. Thank you pro lifers for working to save those kids. Knowing the way God operates, I suspect that one, or more of those spared from death, will impact our society in the future. (40daysforlife.com) Wow! I really am feeling positive today. However, America has to answer for fifty million dead babies, so I expect more pain is headed our way. I did not do enough when the plague of abortion first began, and like many Christians, I did not think that so many kids would be slaughtered. It irritates the left when we will not let up on the baby killing. They wave if off, as if "no big deal." Good luck washing the blood of those slaughtered off your hands liberals. One day, you libs will stand before God, as we all will, and you can tell Him all about it. In Colorado, there are those working hard on the Personhood Amendment, and I encourage you to help them if you can. Every single life that we can help save, well...God will honor our efforts. There were sixty million folks who did not succumb to Obama-mania in this past election, and I expect those numbers to climb. There are reasons to be optimistic. "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." I do not practice the Shinto religion, they don't try to tell me how to live and I do not try to tell them how to live.
I do not practice Buddism, and the same principles hold true.
I do not practice Islam's religion. have never had a Muslim tell me I am going to Hell because of that.
I do not practice the Jewish faith, and have never been threatened to eternal dammnation as a result.
I have followed my interpretation of Christianity, never denying any other person the same right to practice their faith in their way.
Strangely, only fervently devout Christians of many faiths have assured me of Eternal Damnation, if I do not follow their prescribed path, which I do not and cannot believe is for me.
Try as I will, reading every text offering the precise teachings of Christ, I cannot find any basis for that "Christian attitude."
In short, those who make those claims are doing so only from their personal authority -- WHICH I CHOOSE TO REJECT AS BLASPHEMY AND ANTI-CHRISTIAN.
G5 - You did not say that. I was mistaken and did make note of my mistake already. Again I am sorry.
Zing!
I think I made a mistake and addressed my comments to g5 instead of billyjb, I am truly sorry.
Sam, I am glad you are not being bugged by the comments posted. Just write - love reading your blog.
G5, how sad that you would find some sportin' fun in suggesting that a woman watch videos of babies being murdered at a time when clear thinking might be a problem and full disclosure of the procedure is not made or at least leaves a lot to be desired. I would have thought a better plan would be to have the judges and lawmakers watch such videos before legalizing such a procedure or before criminalizing those who don't want to participate.
I really do have trouble seeing how people think the way they do about gay people. I don't know if it is groupthink, sensationalism, or they just simply haven't met any gay people.
I have met (and am friends with) many homosexuals and bi-sexuals. Generally, they are exactly the same as heterosexuals.
I have known some gay men who party too much (for my taste) and have indiscriminate sex with other gay men. Of course, I have known plenty of heterosexual men who party too much and have indiscriminate sex with women.
But most of the homosexual AND heterosexual people I have met are "normal" people. They have their fun, don't overdo it, and are generally in committed monogamous relationships.
Yes, I am aware that there is likely a statistical bias in the type of people I am likely to meet. However I am just trying to make the point that many gays live completely "normal lives", and many gays live a life of partying and excess. JUST LIKE there are many straight people who live "normal" lives, and many straight people who live a life of partying and excess.
Is there a statistically HIGHER rate of dangerous lifestyles in the gay community? Possibly. But certainly we could find statistically higher occurence of dangerous lifestyles in MANY social groups. Does this mean we should look down on those social groups as a whole? Deny them their rights?
Well Shaar we should let women who are thinking about getting an abortion watch that video instead of all the health and psych evaluations the government is proposing. That'll save some time and money. A very solid pro-choice solution.
G5,
So you search the web for a gay dictionary and watch E! as part of your research on liberals. What's nex? Will & Grace marathon? Spending all day watching Bravo? Wear a scarf? Drive a Vespa? What other stereotypes could you possibly muster up to look like a bigger fool?
Or maybe you'll just fall back on those right-wing "news" websites, come back here and tell us all that homosexuality lifestyle that people chose to partake in.
Whatever happens, I'm sure it'll be a boatload of fun for everyone reading.
I was surprise by one of Obama's appointees who decided that those who eat meat should have to watch how the meat was processed. That would surely spoil the appetite for meat.
I wonder what the appetite would be for abortion if everyone had to watch an abortion being performed, to watch a late term abortion in which a live baby is pulled out of the womb by the feet, then a sharp instrument plunged into the head to kill the baby before being allowed totally out of the mother's womb.
Oh well, it is just a fetus, right? - Much less important that a pig providing bacon!
Agreed doodle.
But the key is to act superior enough to make the other guy accept it as fact.
LOL all the personal attacks from BOTH sides; all the pots calling the kettles black and vice-versa. Responding in kind does not make you superior, it merely makes you equal.
G5,
Only one definition of marriage? Which one? The one from biblical times that treated women as property? The one in the 1950s-60s that didn't allow people of different races to marry? Or the definition from Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Spain, etc. that allows homosexual couples to get married?
But it is against the laws of nature, right? Homosexuals are performing unnatural acts? What about the 1500 OTHER species of animal that have exhibited homosexual behavior? Are they breaking nature's laws too? Man, mother nature must be pissed.
And don't get me wrong, I do find some sexual exploits to be a bit repulsive. But they aren't monopolized by gay people. There are plenty of things that straight people do that are just as twisted. (which is their legal right as free Americans).
Additionally, HIV is not spreadable via tears/urine/saliva (at least, there have been no recorded cases of it spread that way).
And yes, people with HIV are more at risk to catch drug-resistant strains of TB. But this does not just apply to homosexuals. Anyone with a weakened immune system is susceptible.
And about the people who enter the US with HIV. Who pays their medical bills? If they are citizens of another country that has Universal Healthcare, their country might. But I'm unaware of a medicare program that pays for non-US citizen's HIV medications.
G5,
I wasn't truly trying to offend your orientation, but you just amuse me.
This is you in a nutshell:
"Gays are disgusting. As a matter of fact, I did some research. I looked at a bunch of disgusting gay material on the internet. And its gross. But just to make sure, I looked at some more. And decided, it too was disgusting."
And at the risk of making me sound like a degenerate, I am an 18 year old male in 2009. While I do not think my self a pervert, I have been exposed to pornographic materials on the interweb.
The two things you mentioned, while very offensive, are not soley homosexual acts. They were done with straight people long before.
ANY SELF RESPECTING CITIZEN OF MCCOOK WHOM IS EASILY OFFENDED, DO NOT GO TO G5'S LINKS!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Your citations amuse me. The fact that you of all people post a link to such an obviously absurd gay dictionary site is so (so so so so) funny. Way to do your homework buddy.
(By the way, heterosexual couples do some pretty unspeakable things...but this is the internet. I'm sure you've seen that.)
However I'm curious about all these cases of TB you're talking about. If they're so common, why is the last case of TB anyone has ever heard about happened 2-3 years ago?
Also, didn't the AIDS scare die off fifteen years ago? If you're going to throw out bigotry, at least keep it contemporary.
G5,
You seem like you are projecting a little. You talk about how offensive and disgusting homosexual behavior is, and yet you suggest people to find out about glory holes and golden showers?
Haha. You have pie on your face sir.
I think deep down, the reason you hate homosexuals so much, is because... well... the writing is on the wall.
And you did not give me a reply to my smoking stats. No defense?

mccookreader,
I agree with most of your points about MJ, except for your last one.
"But in no way is marijuana good for you either"
Marijuana is used to treat a variety of ailments. It is used to stem off nausea in chemotherapy patients. It is also used to treat neuropathic pain (including the pain of HIV patients). And some studies have even suggested that it could help people who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis.
Yes, it's probably not good for me as an average healthy young man. But it might be good for a chemotherapy patient who can't eat due to nausea.
G5,
Did you honestly just say that research on secondhand smoke are distorted to meet an agenda?!?!?!
What the hell man? I used to be amused by you, but now I pity you. It must be rough to live in a world where you think everyone is gunning for your "civil liberties". How can you be surrounded by valid facts from the top medical institutions in the world, and still not be convinced?
If someone smokes, I am in no way condemning them. But to try and say that the its not as bad as "they" make it out to be is really making it seem like you have your head in the sand.
And they do know what carcinogens are in cigarette smoke. Specifically, Group A carcinogens, the kind that cause lung cancer. 2nd hand smoke causes over 50,000 deaths a year.
And I did not site a source, because if you look anywhere on the internet, you will not find one medical site without these numbers. I got this one off of Stanford medical research page.
And just in case you say, "oh those stats don't mean anything"
Lets do a little experiment. Light up a cigarette in your living room. Wait for someone to walk in. Within a minute they will cough. Huh. That's odd. Why did they cough? Oh that's right, smoke inhalation makes your lungs clear foreign material out.
And I have never smoked marijuana so I am not defending it. But I found it interesting that the research doesn't agree with you.
Nicotine Cigarettes are worse for you than MJ.
The main reasons:
Nicotine is the link to cigarettes and heart disease.
Marijauna has no nicotine.
Exposure to smoke is much lower in cannabis compared to cigarettes.
I was pretty surprised to find that.
http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/...
But in no way is marijuana good for you either.
I have jhat, and I am a better man for it.
:-D
All praise FSM!
billy,
Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?
;)
It's funny that those who speak out against homosexuality are usually the first ones to bring up sodomy (and Deliverence). G5 you never stop brightening my day.
And Sam, you can't use my argument as a joke, then call it sad in the following paragraph. That's just poor sportsmanship friend.
And who am I going to have to answer to about my stance on abortion? Your god? I hope not.
If I can't spend eternity partying with gays, abortionists, and other forms of liberal excriment I'll just steer clear of your big invisible guy in the sky.
Mine will do just fine.
http://www.venganza.org/
This issue of abortion has come up again. Sam, you and I do disagree. I do not believe it is murder. And you, of course, do believe it is murder. Certainly you have the right to believe that, and to say whatever you want about the subject.
Simply remember that "liberals" do not think we are murdering people. So call us murderers if you want, however please do not insinuate that we are under the belief that we are committing murder and are OK with it.
However, I do agree that the abortion rate is way to high in the US (at least, it's MUCH higher than most other "westernized" countries). So can we all finally agree it is time to get serious about sex education?
Time and time again, studies and empirical observations have shown that when high schoolers are educated about contraception, the teen pregnancy rate (and abortion rates) drop significantly. Additionally, studies have shown that teenagers who receive abstinence-only education are about as likely to engage in teenage sex as those who receive comprehensive sex education. And they are FAR less likely to use a form of contraception.
And Tiney, why bring gay rights into this? This thread is going to turn into the two headed beast of conservative talking points, abortion and gay marriage.
Homosexuals and gay rights advocates don't want them to have special rights. Just the same rights that everyone has. I know the punch line for this one "Gay people have the same right to marry people of the opposite sex as straight people do." Well, the difference is that you have the right to marry anyone you want to marry, because you are attracted to the opposite sex. Gay people are not attracted to the opposite sex. They simply want the right to marry the people they are attracted to.
And homosexuality is not necessarily a destructive lifestyle. Although, there seems to be alot of press to the contrary. Yes, incidence of STDs, suicide, etc are statistically higher in the gay community than the general populace, but at least some of this difference can be attributed to the stigma attached to being gay in this country, and the inability of many gay people to express their true feelings, fearing reprisal from their friends and neighbors.
And even if it WAS always a completely destructive lifestyle, the government still has no place to deny them rights. If I want, I can descend into a binge of alcoholism and devil worship. That would be a completely destructive lifestyle, and my prerogative. Should the government be able to tell me that I can't marry a fellow alcoholic satanist?
Yes, it is their right to live that way. And yes, it doesn't mean it's right. Just like it is your right to live as a Christian, and that doesn't mean that's right either. The question is, does the government have the right to make that decision for a homosexual. Do they have the right to make it for you?
Hey Fred2, you are right about SW Nebraska. If you go back in my archives, you'll find a blog titled, "Is Nerbraska Purdy?" It is a short one, and I think you may like it.
I am a transplant to the area as well, I moved to the area for the fabulous quality of life, and the great people. Funny, I have even become a Husker fan!
Yo Tiney, The left always gets angry about judging, then they turn right around and judge.
McCookreader. Hello! I know it makes folks mad, but it was Christ who said, "Narrow is the way." Sure, the Lord wants that all should come to repentance, even Barack.
Billy, if ya wanna be a homosexual, then be one. Who is stopping you?
I don't hate homosexuals...funny, while reading your simply pathetic defense of abortion, I was watching a video of Liberace. I am a big fan of Liberace, and I have just about every movie Rock Hudson ever made.
For such a superior Vermont brain, your defense of Abortion was truly sad. Try and step it up a bit. You'll have to give an answer for it one day, so you may as well go ahead and prepare.
I know what is bothering you liberals. You know that your time is coming to an end. Better get use to the idea. You're about to get kicked to the curb.
So tiney because other countries tag homosexual activity as illegal, it's ok for the good ol' US to do so?
Well hell, for all your logic let's repeal the nineteenth amendment, and rewrite all of our laws to keep women from going to school. Better yet, nobody really deserves a speedy or fair trial...I mean the Chinese don't need that kind of stuff, why should we require it?
The truth of the matter is best put into the words of Francisco Vidal who said "When a human being is tortured in any place of the world, the dignity of the rest six billion human beings is also violated,"
You people that accuse sam of being hateful seem to be full of hate for HIM. In love, a person who does not want SPECIAL rights for homosexuals, is only trying to warn them that they are in a very destructive lifestyle. It's their right to live that way, of course, but that doesn't mean it IS right. And who am i to judge? A child of God who can discern evil from righteousness. Also, for more years than not, homosexuality has been an illegal behavior, and still is in many countries. God Bless Us, Everyone
Oh Samster. Who knew that a trip to the bible belt would be your 40 days and nights in the desert? Of course Jesus had to deal with the devil and his many temptations, what were your adversaries? There's probably no need to cover that (Guillermo seemed to cover it pretty nicely).
There's just one thing you should know if the bible belt is going to continue to be your Helm's Deep: it's dumb. Seriously, look at the ACT scores from the area. Every state located in your refuge scores in the bottom half. If those are your peeps, that's all well and good, I'll stick it out with the Vermontonians (they seem to understand reading comprehension).
But I'm getting off track, because the main point I want to get at is that for a guy who claims to not be bugged by Liberals, Sam you seem pretty ticked off. Of course that could just be the conservative dogma of "being united by hating all of the same things", but you seem pretty upset by this whole 50 million baby thing. How about you just take a deep breath and do your part by not having an abortion. Ok? Feel better yet?
Finally, Mrs. Smith we could go on forever about the freedoms that conservative groups have crushed...Jim Crow laws for starters? Those great folks in the bible belt sure know how to treat folk (right Sam?)...what about the KKK? And what group has continually denied rights to gays despite promises from beloved documents that guarantee unalienable rights to all men? Ah yes, conservatives.
Sam, I hope you can make it back to the bible belt in a jiffy to discuss all those things you hate. It's so much fun for all of us.
Mrs. Smith,
Wow! I completely agree with you about abortion. And this week has been great for pro life.
But after that you sound absolutely crazy. If a person smokes around a child frequently, they are just as much selfish murderers as any abortion doctor. If you live alone, or live with your significant other go ahead and waste your life. But with the studies on second hand smoke, it is irrespponsible to put others at risk because of your weak will power and addiction to nicotine.
Seat belt laws i could care less about. But I always wear one. Why not?
And why would you not vaccinate your kid if it were suggested? Do you think they secretly inject liberalism into the kid's blood? Dumb people who feel like they know more than the AMA didn't vaccinate their kids for wooping cough this year, do you know what happened to those kids? They died.
Oh, and Sam, how does it make you feel to know that God cares just as much about you as he does Barack Obama, and even Osama Bin Laden? And who are you to judge if he is a dem. or a rep? If you go by the literal interprutation of the bible, especially old testament, only about .5% of people on earth would get to heaven.
big,
The liberal who supports abortion has the blood of millions of innocent humans on his/her hands. They have condoned the slaughter of 40 million human lives since 1977. The pro-life group couldn't catch up if we tried...and certainly not by driving by an accident, unless we "just happen" to have the Jaws of Life in our trunk.
Talking about intrusions into private lives, how about seat belt and helmet laws for adults? People who've been ordered not to smoke in their own homes? Parents who have been forced to fight social workers and courts to retain custody of their children over spanking or home-schooling issues? What about forced immunizations, or forced purchase of healthcare insurance? Christians who have no freedom of speech on public property...and I've heard today, in Illinois, on their own private property if the public is on their campus.
We have lost an enormous amount of freedom to liberals...while the "intrusive" conservatives are almost 100% attempting to RETAIN the laws that have been on the books for decades.
Christ doesn't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat, but He did say that He knows the heart...and it would appear that Democrats are really working for that Pharisee label.
What a beautiful day in SW Nebraska, and I enjoyed the sunshine and friendly people here in our part of the state! As a relative newcomer, I am always happy to visit with the good people of my area, and get to hear about their prosperity and that of their families. I'm glad your in OK Sam, as they say, It's OK! We shall overcome, even you.......
Sam please,
God does not know if any of us are Liveral or Conservative, Democrat or Republican, Socialist or Libertarian.
Unless the preachers have been misinforming me for the past eight decades -- God is only interested in GOOD and EVIL -- IN OUR HEARTS!!!
That's his province.
The liberal who steps over a cardiac arrested conservative enroute to a Pro-Choice Meeting is guilty of an EVIL,SELF CENTERED ACT.
The conservative who rushes past a traffic accident where a liberal is trapped in his car, so he will not be late to a Pro-Life meeting is guilty of an EVIL, SELF CENTERED ACT.
Equating political philosopy with Godliness is infantile.
Conservatives who favor governmental incursions and intrusions into private lives and bedrooms are not asking for less government.
Liberals who favor a Trillion Dollar bank bailout are not asking for destruction of banks.
