WWRD (What Would Ronnie Do?)Posted Sunday, February 15, 2009, at 1:41 AM
Ronaldus Magnus
- Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them. - Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives. - Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it. - How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin. - It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first. - Man is not free unless government is limited. - No Government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! - Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but the Democrats believe every day is April 15. - The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help. - The taxpayer - that's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination. - You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope on earth, or will we sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done. Uncle Ronnie was an Actor....
first!
G5 so long as you're quoting Shakespeare anent St. Ronnie the Forgetful, especially when using the acting connection. I'd be of the opinion that Act 5, scene 5 from Macbeth is more appropriate.
G5...Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate your writing in defense of sanity. As the Apostle Paul said: "Fight the good fight."
