Mellow Out Dude!

When a person you have great respect for levels hefty criticism, I think it is wise to take some time, and prayer, and reflect. Such is the case when Brian Hoag had some "choice" words for me. If you have read any of Brian's stuff, you know that he is a brilliant guy, and much smarter than he likes to let on. Brian does not dive into the political and cultural arena like I do, I would classify Brian as more of a Will Rogers type, and that is not shabby.

I am leery about engaging in a battle of wits with Brian, well frankly, he has me "out-gunned". As Clint Eastwood said in The Enforcer, "a man has got to know his limitations." So, I would like to address his comments, as honestly and openly as I can.

First off, I know I am a big mouth. I wear a size fifteen shoe, and it will fit easily into my big mouth. I am not apologizing for it, just admitting it. I have re-read all of my blogs, and comments, and I see that I have been guilty of broad generalizations.

For the record, I will admit that there are:

- honorable and decent Lawyers and Judges

- honorable and decent College Professors

- honorable and decent Elected Politicians

- honorable and decent Journalists

I apologize to one and all for my broad generalizations. Having said that, I still believe that the majority of folks in those professions today are not acting honorable, nor decent, in my not-so-humble opinion.

I also realize that I have about as much tact as a piece of artillery. Again, not apologizing for it, just admitting it. Sometimes, artillery is called for.

Brian did not like my "name calling", and specifically my referring to Mr. Obama as "his Majesty." I have to disagree with Brian. Name calling is appropriate, and even necessary. People voted and supported Mr. Obama even though he had very questionable background, experience, associations and even questionable citizenship. The people who supported Mr. Obama, did not care about any of this, and attacked anyone who would dare bring up these issues. In fact, I think it showed incredible arrogance for a man with Obamas' background and lack of experience to even seek the highest office in our land, and arguably the most important office on the Planet. People passed out when he spoke, they compared him to Christ, Michelle Obama said the election of her husband would begin to "heal the Planet". Sorry Brian, "his majesty" fits.

Brain did not like me calling the environmentalists "earth worshippers." Well, they are! I am not against using God's blessings prudently, but really now, this whole global warming hoax is not about environmentalism, it is about control. Tree huggers are tree huggers and getting mad at me for calling them that is not productive either. I find it odd that the same people who fight hard to save the whales or polar bears, also fight hard for the right to kill unborn babies. Liberalism is a religion, so I am going to call them on it.

Brian said that I believe that I am right, and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. He then said: "...I only know of one perfect man in all of history and that ain't you." For some reason, it irritates people when you are very confident of your positions and opinions, that somehow strong confidence in ones own opinion is wrong. Also, this reference to thinking I am Christ, is just a bit cheap Brian. It is like asking someone, "when did you stop beating your wife?" Being confident in my positions does not mean that I think I am perfect. In fact in one of my blogs, I clearly stated that I am fully aware that I don't know it all, and that is why I turn to, and trust in, and believe in a Holy God.

If I state a position, and someone disagrees with me, then I will gladly argue with them, and I appreciate the debate. Who wants to debate someone who will cave in out of some false sense of nobility?

As far as "preaching to the choir." My friend, the choir needs to be preached to. We Christians have ourselves to blame for the destruction of our culture. We have been intimidated into silence, we have been lazy, and we have been afraid. Afraid to take on the left, frankly, because we will get criticized for having strong opinions, and called "narrow." Since Brian brought up the reference to the only one perfect man, it was Christ who said: "...because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

I understand that Brian, and folks like him, would prefer the kinder and gentler way of debating hard issues. I don't agree. Kinder and gentler have done nothing but see to it that America stands on the brink of being a Marxist and atheistic state. I believe that I have not only the right, but the duty...to fight for my country and it's future.

President Bush, and his father tried reaching out, and they got their hands bitten off. The left has never been interested in working with Conservatives, and they only interested in compromise when it is the Christians, or conservatives, that do the compromising.

So, will I mellow out? No. Brian asked if I was "gonna be name calling and this harsh for the next four years?" Yes Brian, I am, I have to be. If Mr. Obama gets even half of his ideals into law, this country will never recover. The Bob Dole style of being the loyal opposition does nothing but make certain America dies.

Our very future is at stake, and I intend to fight. You folks that want to throw hearts and flowers, go ahead, I am not stopping you.

I would like to say that I think both of you gentlemen have some very good beleifs, and neither of you should be passive about the way you defend them. I am not one to call names, or belittle another man because I dont share his point of view, maybe I am part of the problem. I have some general observations that would support this.

This country has allowed its culture and beliefs to be stripped away in the name of political correctness and exploitation of the bill of rights. When I went to school, we said the pledge of allegience every morning before school started; that is no longer a practice because there is a reference to god in it. We used to get out of school for Christmas break; now the kids enjoy a winter break. I sent my son to school with a T-shirt that had a cross on it and a church camp logo, he was sent home to change the shirt because it was against school policy to reference religeon in any way. DO WE WANT TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN TO HIDE THIER RELIGEOUS BELIEFS?! This goes much further than just the school, to much to go in to here.

Our country has allow, even encouraged, uncontrolled immigration into this country. These people have destroyed the community that I live near with drugs, crime, rampant unemployment, graphitti, teen pregnancy, STD's, trash, neglected property, and wannabe gang bangers to mention a few. My tax dollars help educate thier children that are not even encouraged to speak english. My tax dollars help support the families that immigrate here for a job, and lose that job because they forgot to show up. The wannabe gang bangers try to steal the thing that I worked hard to get, and dod thier best to intimidate me when I walk down the street. The schools welcome these children because minority children represent government money. Contractors cant even land a job in this area unless they employ a certain number of minorities whose communication skills represent a significant danger to other workers. There are programs in place to help these people get in the top of the list for rental housing, or even buy a home without a social security number. HOW THE HELL DOES THAT WORK??!

When I go to Walmart, the advertisements and music coming from the speakers are in spanish. Half of the billboards down town are in spanish. In the residential areas I see many run down, poorly taken care of houses with trashy yards that have 2 or 3 Cadillac Escalades sitting in the front. It must be nice to not have to pay income taxes.

This is just the tip of the iceburg. This country has been far too tolerant and allowed the rest of the world and the well financed special interests to steal our culture, dictate the values we teach our children, and worship our god in silence.

I think we should all be a little firmer. Maybe we can all think our way to a solution it we all voice our opinion, loudly if you need to.

When I was in Albuquerque a month ago, I went into a "National Chain" store, and all of the signs in the store were in Spanish, with small English subtitles. The lady at the register could not speak English.

Yesterday, I was in North Carolina, and stopped at a McDonalds. I had been in my vehicle along time, so I thought I'd eat inside. Two very loud women, with lots of kids, sat down in the booth next to me. The women griped continually, (in between eating like they'd never have another chance) about how the WIC program (Women and infant children) needed to be increased. One lady griped about how she had to wait for three hours in the Doctors' office, simple because she was on Medicaid. Then they talked about how they were planning to go to the Inauguration. Finally, they left, and all piled into a new Cadillac Escalade and drove off. Go figure!

All I can say is keep saying it like it is. Your honesty is refreshing.

First time reader of your blog, very good. I'm with you almost 100%. However with that said, you said you admit there is honorable & decent lawyers, judges and politicians. My challenge to you is name one! But before you name one, follow all money trails and back door deals.

The only one I can think of right now would be Sarah Palin. I have not been in Alaska, and do not know her personally, but - when I view how the left went after her, and her family, and I see the hate the left has for her, I figure she must be golden. Thanks for your kind words.

Oops, I almost forget Judge Robert Bork! You saw what Ted Kennedy and his band of goons did to that honorable Judge.

Please keep reading. God Bless.
