Mancow thinks its torture

Posted Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 10:08 AM

I was originally going to post this on the threads but a new blog just fits better.

Mancow is a conservative talk-show host who has always questioned whether or not waterboarding was torture. He has always come down on the side that waterboarding is not torture, using the conservative line that it's just pouring water over someone's face. Well he agreed to be waterboarded after a vote was held and he won.

After five seconds he put a stop to it and declared that is was absolute torture. He said, as it has been pointed out, that waterboarding isn't meant to make you think you are drowning, You are drowning. This torture is meant to make you think you are dying.

Yes, Steffanie, go ahead and believe what you want to believe. Go ahead and keep saying that it's going to happen. Just like BushCo you are going to keep saying that it's going to happen. IF it does eventually happen again, I'm sorry but that won't validate BushCo.

The only thing that will matter at that point is how the sitting president, whoever he or she is, handles it at that point.

Of course, knowing you folks you will try to find a way to blame Clinton for it.

The Anbar Awakening did in fact start before the surge started.

PuhLeeze -- ManCow a conservative.

About 30 years ago, ManCow was the liquid diet, wild hare hippy DJ for a small Salinas, CA radio station.

Then he pulled some totally gross stunt involving a sizable rural church and got his hippy rear fired.

Next, San Francisco, where he was the morning talk radio favorite of the city's S&M crowd,[The wierdest of the sexually wierd in Wierdville) and every other nutcase group in the SF Bay Area.

Finally, after major turmoil about a presidential haircut at L.A. -- at 7:30 a.m. one week day, Mancow drove to the middle of the Bay Bridge with two vans.

Jumped out with remote transmitter gear operated out of one van and sat down in a chair in the middle of the span to get a hair cut.

The traffic jam extended a combined 150 miles up and down the Bayshore, through the Caldecott Tunnel, out through Castro Valley toward the Central Valley. Every feeder surface street was jammed for 60 miles along the East Bay and in the foothills.

The CHIPs were a week completing all the accident reports.

The pot smoking, hippy sensationalist was fired again.

Now, he is a peer of the former Class D radio DJ, Rush the Pill Popper, and Glen Beck -- who cannot prove he ever earned an honest living.

Let's fact it, being conservative is where the money is.

Grab a microphone and condemn all liberals, including wounded and decorated combat veterans who disagree with DubYah and The Draft Dodgers --

and the frightened status quo folks will fork over millions in contributions to save their bridge club.

The American People can be fooled often and repeatedly, but ManCow the PotHead as a conservative spokesperson, espousing motherhood, Apple Pie and patriotism.

This clown has bragged for years about his ducking skills.

Hysterical.

G.I.

I didn't mean shocking for YOU. I mean shocking for the conservatives on this board who assume that all liberals hate everything about George W. Bush and would never admit that he did anything right.

ekimsitruc,

Really? I didn't know that. I was under the impression that the Anbar awakening happened after the surge was in motion. Guess I had my timetable mixed up.

Wow, wallismarsh, that is just plain out there.

And jhat I hate to correct you, but those insurgents that suddenly changed sides to help us changed before the surge occurred. BUT we had made a deal with them to support them if they changed sides and we still are.

Ha Ha Mancow is a baby. Never heard of him before but he is a baby. I thought I could take it for 30 seconds what a baby.

I wonder if you planned on blowing up an American building and dreamed of killing Americans if you would be such a girl. Saddam took his hanging like a man. He never cowered and was proud till the end. He was no coward like Mancow. Kind of makes you wonder if most Americans are tough enough. I hope we are.

G.I.

I agree. It is unfortunate that our own actions can be used as recruiting tools. I think that you are right, we need to improve our perception. Take Indonesia for example, the country with the highest percentage of Muslim residents in the world. The more aide we send them, the more their polls show a favorable view of America. And as shocking as this is, I will thank George Bush for directing much of that aide money.

Indonesia gets aide because it's location is a strategic asset to the US. It's too bad we don't practice the same principals with countries that give us less strategic advantage.

(The Iraq Surge is another example. Did it shock you that many insurgents stopped fighting after we started supporting their families monetarily? Because it didn't surprise me at all)

Swing and a miss Steffanie. I never once said they shouldn't be tried. They need to be tried, either under our court system, the military court system, or under the Geneva court system. But they haven't even got tried yet.

And all those that we did release that have now gone into terrorism were released under Bush's very watchful eyes.

-- Posted by MichaelHendricks on Tue, May 26, 2009, at 3:37 PM

By the way what makes the people that we have in custody criminals? You don't want to try them in American courts so they aren't criminals in our system.

They haven't been tried at all so are they still criminals?

Or is it the mere fact that they are Muslim?

I'm pretty sure which one you are going to go with, so get your flame on Sceptre

-- Posted by MichaelHendricks on Tue, May 26, 2009, at 2:44 PM

Sceptre, seriously get off it. How many times are you going to use your tired Japanese example (oh right, I forgot the conservative playbook, repetition to make anything factual). I find it amazing that you live in a world where if someone else did it first than it is absolutely acceptable to do it to someone else.

Oh well, keep flaming Sceptre, because like G5, eventually you are going to say something that is just completely off the charts and your little rants trying to get people angry will be over until you come up with another name.

And, Steffanie, before you start screeching FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!! let me remind you that inflammatory, racist, hate speech is not protected (especially if in that speech you are advocation injury to another person). But it does amuse me that the only time you think free speech should be enforced is when you or Sceptre are running around calling anyone and everyone who doesn't agree with you homos or babykillers.

Steffanie,

Really? Which one of her children do you think should be killed?

-- Posted by jhat on Tue, May 26, 2009, at 1:31 PM

Forget Mancow. The one to watch out for is Manbearpig.

-- Posted by McCook1 on Mon, May 25, 2009, at 9:14 PM

Thank you steffanie I don't know what I'd do without you (yes that is dripping with sarcasm)

-- Posted by MichaelHendricks on Sun, May 24, 2009, at 11:50 PM

uh oh, the grammer police are here. STUFFany is on the prowl. I guess those with nothing inteligent to say feel they must put down a persons lack of typing ability.

Hey STUFFany, could you spell check my post and you seem to have nothing better to do?

-- Posted by bigdawg on Sun, May 24, 2009, at 11:07 PM

Okay seriously, wallismarsh what does the attack on the twin towers have to do with mancow admitting that something he had criticized as NOT being torture WAS IN FACT torture after lasting only five second.

Also, when have ever made fun of you for saying the dollar was weak? Please show me those posts. The dollar has been weak for years, this isn't a new trend.

Just some last food for thought.

Will do.

I was just watching a news show where the Democrat said that the Obama Administration was "taking over" GM and the bondholders were going to have to "deal with it".

I thought that the whole premise of our Country was due process and that the government couldn't just take assets and property. Eminent Domain being the exception. I truly believe that we fought a revolution over that kind of government control.

I am no history teacher so I ask the resident teacher to correct me if I am wrong.

By the way, the bondholders have a first lien position so the only way to "make them deal with it" is to change the law.

-- Posted by wallismarsh on Sun, May 24, 2009, at 9:09 AM

I think that the $USD is entering a panic sell mode and could make new lows this summer.

That should give commodity prices a boost. Whether we want to believe it or not the US government isn't an endless bank that can print all the money it wants. Contrary to differing opinions that is a false assumption.

-- Posted by wallismarsh on Sun, May 24, 2009, at 7:28 AM

I am not suggesting the video is a fake. Many "fringe" groups believe that the govt was involved. I am not one of those people.

I believe that organized Terrorists blew up the Twin Towers and that many more attacks were stopped. It gives me concern the "revisionist" history aspect of it all.

As an aside, I turned on Obama on the way home. He was discussing using fear, trimming facts and political ideology to push an agenda and not insight. I thought he was discussing the "stimulus bill". Silly me.

As a side note. You pretty much made fun of my concern of the AAA status of the US dollar last week. Interesting that both heads of PIMCO warned of a downgrade. I guess you still think that I am dumb but those guys aren't.
