Why comparisons between Hitler and Democrats are wrongPosted Sunday, November 16, 2008, at 8:10 PM
For the last eight years or so, the right fringe in this country has been trying their hardest to link Hitler and the Democrats together. Nevermind of course that the two political philosophies are two worlds apart or that most neo-Nazis actually align themselves with the far right side of the Republican Party. The truth to people like Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh is like OFF bugspray is to bugs.
It got so bad at one point that even some members of the Bush Administration were making the comparisons. Fortunately, one man, was able to correctly make a better alignment (even if it is far-fetched). And that was John McCain, who compared Obama to the Socialists and Marxism. Another nail in the coffin of Hitler and the Democrats should have came when two neo-Nazis plotted to kill Barack Obama. Sadly though, it wasn't as the new link has been made. People on the right fringe have seen Obama's wanting to expand AmeriCorp and PeaceCorp as a way to get children more involved in their communities to the Hitler Jugend or Hitler Youth (http://www.essortment.com/all/thirdreich_rbod.htm). To go even further into the hysteria surrounding this some have actually sought to say that Obama is trying to build his own army through these groups (even though most of the children that would be in these groups would be under the age of 18). Oddly I was afraid that once the election was over I would have nothing to write about, being a political junkie and all. But as long as these fringe stories get play I will always have something to write about. Honestly, I think it is rather funny and sad how the fear and hysteria that still runs in small circles of this country can absolutely cause someone to think the worst thing possible and even worse fully believe it is going to happen, simply because they read it in an email. _ Another story that is gaining traction is that the recession that we have been in for almost a year (and some would say over a year) is actually the Obama Recession. Now, those who protected and defended Bush over and over again by blaming everything that happened on Clinton (including 9/11, which happened six months into Bush's Presidency and even the disaster of Hurrican Katrina, which happened five years after Clinton left office) are so hyper to blame anything on Obama, they are actually blaming him for the recession . . . you have some valid points but it amazes me that you never mention the "left" fringe. Apparently, it only applies to the right?
The 'Fringe,' right, or left, never condemns 'Self,' only the 'other' Fringe.' Mike is only condemning the 'Right' Fringe, because he is of the.... 'other' Fringe, you know, the Fringe that would cut off the leg at the hip, for a hang-nail on one toe.
I find it interesting, Mike, that you can find it in your heart, to condemn everyone to the 'right' of you, for the excess of the minority 'Fringe,' who has the same 'right of elaboration' that you have. Oh Well, You just keep on being 'fair' as you espouse.

It has always been a tactic of the left, to decry hatred whenever they are forced to defend radical idiology. The truth is that the left always sees color, and sex in evey situation. They feed on it. Then they accuse others of the bigotry they display. It is truly marvelous to watch.
It is also old school to constantly link the Nazis to the right. Hitler was a dictator, the last time I checked on the ole political spectrum, dictators are leftists. The right wants less government, the left lives for more government. Extreme left is total governemnt, which Mike apparently wants, in the worst way, and extreme right is no goverment. Not as complicated as you liberals like to portray.
The left takes away a lilttle freedom here, and a little freedom there, and always for your own good because you peons are not capable of taking care of your own life. You need daddy government, daddy, daddy, daddy. You liberals make me sick. You are so full of it.
And, I am being kind. Liberalism is mostly likely a mental disorder, brought on by years of liberal indoctrination, and psychological self abuse. I do not want a nanny state, and that is what Obama wants to drive down our throats. No thanks! I pass!
As far as the Democrat Hitler comparison, I offer this:
Both Obama and Hitler preached class envy.
Both Obama and Hitler were pro abortion.
Both Obama and Hitler were in favor of big government.
Both Obama and Hitler were in favor of nationalizing private businesses.
Both Obama and Hitler had young people marching around in uniforms.
Both Obama and Hitler like high taxation.
Both Obama and Hitler convinced God fearing people, they were God fearing.
So, do they have anything in common? Do they?
I am not saying that next wekk, Obama will declare a dictatorship, install marshall law and take over. The leftists takeover is bit by bit, inch by inch, until you're buried.
I want Obama to good things, I have doubts. The man has spent a lifetime sitting at the feet of radicals, former terrorists, and black separatists, and I am not suppose to be nervous?
Now, you Mike, and your friends at the national level are going to be about the business of image building. Obama will do no wrong. You in the media have too much invested in Obama. He could fall in horse manure, and you guys would say he smells like roses. Truth to power.
Okay Zed I can pretty much destroy those very uninformed opinions you try to pass off as fact but one just stuck out like a huge sore thumb. When in the world has Obama EVER had young people marching around in uniforms. It's one thing to try to make comparisons but to absolutely make up comparisons and that completely invalidates any claims you make.
Navyblue I don't condemn the whole of the right for the actions of the fringe. I was attacking the fringe elements only. If you would take the time to read my words instead of skimming that you would plainly see that.
My friend, simply take a look at You Tube. To search, all I think you need do is type in "Obama youth." Also, on election days, black panthers were stationed at various polling places. Some had billy clubs, and they intimidated voters. There were incidents like that all over the place, unreported of course, by the lapdog media.
If you say I make things up, prove it. Back up your mouth. I stand by every statement. Liberals, like you, enjoy dismissing truth, with the wave of a hand. I have to tell you, your defense of Obama and liberalism is fairly pathetic. Try and step it up a bit.

That is all Mike ever does. I have brought up several points in previous posts all to have him go after the one he feels is the weakest and then continue to just pass it off.
I bet that Mike believes this is his best post ever and that Keith Olberman is getting that tingly feeling again.
Why is it that when Liberals berate someone it is an example of "open-mindedness" but when Conservatives berate someone it is an example of "close-mindedness" anyone know?
Liberals do not base their values on logic but rather than emotion. Most Conservatives actually base their values on core beliefs which are:
1. Individual Rights
2. Personal Responsiblity
3. Limited Government
4. Lower Taxes
5. Strong Defense
It's like this... they tell us through the "democratic" process that we can no longer own guns, but when the public votes to limit marriage between a man and a women they bemoan that the "democratic" process doesn't work. They only use it when it is good for the group they claim to represent.

Please accept my apology, as I forgot that you are a 'History' teacher, not an 'English' teacher. I had already set the parameters of verbiage in sentence one, thus I had no structural requirement to reiterate in sentence two.

Mike, you have finally stunned me into silence. It's taken me awhile to even form a post to this incredibly thoughtless and unbelievable assertion of your latest blog.
I don't even know where to begin other than to tell you that you that through this entire campaign process and really thoughout Bush's entire presidency all I have EVER read about or heard on ANY TV news station is several liberal senators and congressmen's idiotic references to Bush being Hitler and/or Pol Pot.
Now I don't kow about you, but compairing our president either one of these two is a dispicable outrage to me. It's one thing for somebody in casual conversation to mention this, but for an elected official to make these comparisons on a speaking floor or in any kind of interview in Washington DC is beyond belief.
Anf these comparisons came from Democrats.
Now look in you history books Mike, if you even have them in your school. Pol Pot is accountable for aproximately 1.6 million deaths through civil war, power consolidations, and genocide.
Hitler is accountable for about 7.3 million Germans and another 6 million Polish you must account for. That's just Germany and Poland. He's surely responsible for a certain number of Allied troop deaths as well.
Tell me why again you've made of this rediculaous story about the media referring to Obama as "Hitler" when it wasn't made.
I can see someone mistaking Hitler's politics for Marxism when referring to Obama's socialist leaning politics. It's an honest mistake to link Hitler to Marxism when it was actually Joseph Stalin of Russia that was Marxist in his rule. I know these mistaken references were made to link their beliefs only, not their genocide and killing sprees.
As in the case of what is ACTAULLY the truth, the references made likening Bush to Hitler and Pol Pot. Those references were made about the war casualties and civilian deaths.
How stupid do you and your Washington hacks think the American people are anyway. Pol Pot and Hitler?!?!?! That's what is so remarkably offensive about your blog. You must think I'm stupid beyond belief as well as the rest of us reading your blog. Some of these readers may not even realize the depth of how stupid you must think we are.
But for the last 4 years we've herd nothing but "War-Mongering" and Hitler and Pol Pot remarks from key democrats in Washingtonm that oppose the ongoing war in Iraq.
As I said before camparing ANY of our Presidents to two men who have been accountable for well over 20 miilion deaths of innocent people is more than a reach Mike, it's the worst writing and reporting anyone could even accomplish. Then to have you come in here and completely lie and turn it around to try to turn the blame around is about the worst piece of opinionated blog I have ever seen.
This brings me to my opinion. At first I thought we were going to be able to engage in some exciting politics. Some engaging ideas to think about. It has turned into the most rediculous waste of time I could have ever imagined. It doesn't even seem like we're about to engage with someone that evern lives on the planet, let alone our own country.
I can't even believe I'm wasting my time now, other than to say this is my last post on your blog. I can't even lower myslef to these lack of journalistic standards you have now set. I urge everyone else that tunes into this blog to do the same as we have now seen the bottom of this blog completely fall out.

The "slap in the face" of your intelligence is beyond disgaceful from the author and the Gazette for allowing him the opportunity to do it. SO I urge all of you to stop reading this rediculous blog from now on, as it doesn't even deserve our time to respond to such filth and lies.
Nothing good will ever come out of this now. I also urge the McCook Daily Gazette to take this down if it has any sense of journalistic integrity left. I know we have a freedom of speech to uphold, but how far does it ahve to go as someone is using this freedom to spread abosolute hate and lies.

I'll surely find a better blog on some other newspaper's website that have people that can actually think for themsleves and not use their position to spew a bunch spunk they read from crazy lefty or righty e-newsletters from underground extremist movement morons.

It is easy to pick on Mike. All the guy does is spew liberal dogma, and I doubt if he has ever had an original thought. It is not entirely his fault, however. We can give him a little break due to the amount of indoctrination and pap that is our education system today.
Mike is simply an example of the flawed public school system. I am sure Mike gobbled up whatever liberal theology that was sent his way. Mike appears to be a willing sheep, begging to be one of the useful idiots that Democrats need to survive.
How do I know this? Easy, look at his predictable attack on the few individuals actually telling the truth, like Hannity or Limbaugh. Spewing the Democrat/Marxist line, will get him a couple of "atta-boys" from the nut jobs on the left. Mike will be considered enlightened by these America hating goons.
I have re-read many of Mike's blogs, and I can tell you that rational debate is not an option of Mike's. He can not debate the facts that many of you have put forth. Instead, he does what all good liberal/Marxists do. Smear, lie, change the subject, try and confuse, and accuse.
Look at Mike's pathetic attempt to shield his messiah from the economic problems. His lord, his guy, Obama is the one spewing marxists financial policy, and yet Mike wonders why Obama is to blame?
