The Wheels on the Bus have come off

Posted Sunday, October 26, 2008, at 9:34 AM

Over the past week I have watched, becoming more and more amazed, as the wheels have loosened, then wobbled, then clean fell off of the McCain Smooth (oops sorry I mean Straight) Talk Express bus.

At the rate things are going this election is going to be a run away for Barack Obama. When you look at the polls his numbers have risen slightly over the past week, which is unusual. In the past elections, over the last two weeks there is usually a tightening of the race. But this year we have seen Obama's lead actually lenghthen. Whether or not you like national polls they are usually correct. In 2000 they showed Gore leading in the polls. Gore DID win the general election that year pretty close to what the final polls showed, but because he lost enough states, Bush won the presidency because he had more electoral votes. In 2004, Bush was leading in the final polls before the election and won the election.

If we take a state by state approach, since delegates (not the American people) decide the outcome, it is looking more and more like an electoral landslide for Obama. A site which is use exclusively is www.pollster.com, this is a non-partisan site. All they simple do is compile polling data and show trends either to Obama or McCain. In 2000, solely based on polling they correctly picked the number of delegates that each candidate recieved. As of yesterday, Saturday October 25, their electoral map had Obama leading 306-157 with 75 toss ups (in other words to close to call. At this point, if the polls stay as they are, McCain will not pick up any states that Kerry won in 2004. Of the Bush states (there are 15) Obama is leading in 11 of them. This has caused some "tension" in the McCain-Palin camp.

Unnamed sources from the McCain-Palin camp cite the McCain staffers feel as if Palin is running her own campaign and will say whatever she feels whether or not it supports McCain's stance. For instance, she said last week that robo-calls are annoying even though at that very moment the McCain campaign had released robo-calls that Palin herself had recorded.

Several McCain staffers have already sending out their resumes for new jobs as if the election is already over.

The RNC spent $150,000 on clothes for Sarah Louise Heath Palin even though she still maintains she is an average Joe, hockey mom. I'm sure most average Joe's wish they had that kind of cash to throw away on clothes. The point here is simply when you are trying to get people to believe that your opponent is an elitist it's not a good idea to be wearing a $1,500 dress while you are doing it.

Republicans have been sounding the trumpet for over 12 years that Democrats are elitist with $500 haircuts and what not, but it's kinda hard to keep finger pointing when your presidential candidate has eight houses and your vice-presidential candidate is wearing $150,000 worth of clothes (whether or not she is buying them, she is wearing them).

After this story broke Palin chastized that organization that released the report and couldn't believe that they would lie like that. Who was the organization that released this report? The RNC. Whoops, Sarah.

I think the whole elitist thing is a joke on either side and it really needs to go away but beware throwing stones when you yourself live in a glass house.

Several Republicans came out this week and said there were two Americas, a pro-America and an anti-America. This didn't bode to well for them as one Democrat in Minnesota has seen over one million dollars flow into his coffers after his opponent made the charge that there needed to be an investigation into Congress of who was pro and who was anti-American. On November 4 the voters of Minnesota may make that choice for her and vote her out of office.

Sarah Louise Heath Palin made her own little gaffah this week when she made the stretch and said that middle America was the real America. I'm sure this came as a surprise to people in Buffalo, New York, Charleston, North Carolina and Billings, Montana who now according to Palin are false Americans simply because they don't live in middle America.

So as the campaign draws to a close the wheels have come off for John Sidney McCain and Sarah Louise Heath Palin. They have one week to get it back together otherwise McCain's career is essentially over and Palin looks too be the front runner for the Republican nomination in 2012 (which some in Palin's camp have admitted she is already starting to focus on).

Your right Mike, no Democrat spends money. They all give it to charity and the poor. Just ask Mr. Theresa Hinz-Kerry how many houses he owns and how many SUV's he owns.

You have such a great way of making your new savior sound like a damn saint, and all the idiots following him and proclaiming his devine word is going to save us all. This has reached a rediculaously assinine pitch and I;m sick of it.

Your guy isn't going to do anything new my friend. Socialism isn't new. Spreading the waelth isn't new. None of this crap is new and everytime it has been tried it has failed you dolts.

Ask your average Joe Venezuelan how they like not having electricity for weeks at a time. Boy, Hugo sure is a great friend of Sean Penn and the likes, isn't he a great guy? Well, I can't wait until Barack's first meeting as president with him, that should be a treat.

You guys are nothing but traitors. You're socialists is sheep's clothing and something needs done with you. You're robbing the peole that actually go to work and make the money just to give it to deadbeats. I can't wait. This is going to be the biggest joke of a presidency since Jimmy " I can't shut my mouth now that I'm 90 years old and know everything" Carter.

You do Mike, you have a knack for admitting that your guys spend money for crap too, but that still doesn't stop you from writing a whole article slamming Sarah Palin for trying to look good for the whole country.

If she would have worn camo on TV you would have slammed her for that too. What a bunch of intellects you all are.

Hey, I bet you didn't know that Barack and Michelle spend $30,000 a year on ballet and piano lessons for their two daughters. All while there are still a lot of Americans that don't even make that much a year...oh but wait, thats the whole plan. Take money from all the whealthy making a whopping $250,000 a year and give it to all the poor people so they can go to college for free. Why not just make public school go K-16 if that's the big plan.

Maybe you should go back and read my entire article instead of one paragraph. I didn't spend my entire article slamming Sarah Louise Heath Palin. I wasn't slamming her clothes at all just pointing out that if you are going to paint your opponent as an elitist you shouldn't wear $150,000 worth of clothes. It doesn't work.

Maybe you need to take a time-out for a few minutes and take a few cleansing breaths. The Cold War ended in 92 and it isn't coming back. Settle down. I worried about your health Justin. It'll be okay the boogie man isn't coming just better government for us middle income people.

It amazes me how tax cuts for the rich is good for the country but tax cuts for the middle class is socialism.

The really funny part of all of this is that nothing will change. The government will continue to pit us against each other while they keep stripping us of our rights. The framers of the Constitution would not recognize the cesspool that has been made of the country they pledged their fortunes and lives to create. The attacks on our right will continue until we are nothing more than slaves feeding the machine. Take a look around and see how much of current manufactured economic crisis is affecting your day to day lives. See anyone going hungry? See anyone being thrown from their houses? See anything different from last month or last year? That's because it's just a power grab, another way to make you more dependant on Mother Government. It doesn't matter who's in the White House, the result will be the same. Maybe we should call a time out and decide who the teams really are. The teams are us and them, not Republican and Democrats but the Rulers and the Ruled. In Rome it was bread and circuses that kept the people occupied while the corrupt government brought the empire down. With us its wardrobes, terrorist friends, voter fraud, Rush Limbaugh, who's rich, who's not and endless class warfare. I guess I'll see you in the re-education camp.

I don't trust the "polls" one bit. Regardless where you get your information about who's ahead, the leftists/Obama worshippers are going to tout their idiot as winning to take the wind out of the sails of smart Americans in an attempt to get them to not even go to the voting booths and waste their time. Most of your major TV stations have been sucking up to Obama so bad that even Ray Charles could see it.

I just hope your ticket fails Mike.

If it doesn't, I'm flying my American flag at half mast for the duration of the Socialist's term because I and the rest of the united States will be in a state of mourning.

I'll probably regret opening my mouth, but I just have to comment...

I guess you have not been to the Denver for a while jawalker when you ask if we've seen anything different in the last month or year. You bring up some interesting and likely valid points, and while I agree 100% with you about the apparant demise of the Constitution, I can assure you that people ARE hurting and things are very different outside this area. Nebraska has been spared much of the economic downturn.

My brother in law for example has lost 2 jobs in the last 2 years in the housing industry. He's been out of work for several months looking for a decent job with no success yet. My sister in law who works in real estate can tell you how many more houses are up for sale and the number of foreclosures for sale with few buyers and even fewer that can get a loan. My cousin in Washington state has lost her job with the Washington Mutual bank takeover. So if that is your definition of a manufactured crisis then I guess I'd have to agree, but that is certainly not the way I see it.

As for you Jim, I wonder what it would take for you to accept the fact that a rather large portion of the country (those that vote for and may actually elect the liberal candidate) are not in mourning as you suggest with your comment? I guarantee that a large number of liberals feel the way you do about the direction the country will go if the conservative candidate wins. By the way... I'd think you would be better off flying the flag upside down showing your distress rather than mourning our democratic type of government for not selecting your personal choice for office.

Michael, it seems pretty obvious to me that you are trying to incite a riot of sorts as well. I've read the same stuff you have, and I'm tired of the rhetoric about clothing purchases, apparant victory by the liberal, the bridge to nowhere, ad nausium. I'm pretty sure that most voters have seen it, so why beat a dead horse? I will say that a recent survey in Washington state showed that 18% of the people don't know that the GOP and the Republican party is one in the same so perhaps there is some validity to bring this stuff up to those that don't have a clue, but here it mostly aggravates people it seems.

And finally Justin, I wonder what you think of Social Security and Medicade/Medicare? Do you want to collect on these social programs in your senior years? You certainly have been paying into the fund and should expect some return on your investment. If you are not currently collecting from these socialist type programs, I imagine your parents do or did. Would you prefer that these programs be taken away from the people that rely on them to survive? Would you be willing to have your parents move in with you to abolish these type programs?

My point is that I believe not all social programs are bad, not everyone agrees that the conservative or the liberal candidate is going to take the country down the road to distruction, and many people have faith that the country can be brought to it's senses. True, I may be spouting my hope that this great country can get it's act together with the nieve notion that people are basically good and things can improve.

A very good friend of mine recently said the problem is there are to many Republicans and Democrats, and not enough Americans. I think he is 100% correct. Americans I thought would pitch in and do whatever it takes to get things done and improve our situation, but from many comments here and throughout the Internet, I wonder what the real chance of that is. I sure hope Justin is wrong with his comment that things won't change no matter who gets elected...both candidates are promising that exact philosophy though through different plans, so we'll just have to wait and see how our leaders and us followers get around to doing or not doing that.

Brian Hoag, If Obama gets the nod that just shows how stupid this country has become. We've already become a pussified country thanks to the liberals, now we're just getting "more dumber". We've go a black, charismatic person who can say the word "with" without saying "wiff". He's a great speaker, young people love him. But none of these people bother to or want to check into his radical/terrorist background. What the hell kind of person do they think they're electing president? That's right, they're not thinking. No more, no less.

Jim

-- Posted by Jim Foster on Tue, Oct 28, 2008, at 6:18 AM

Brian,

You make good, reasonable points. My opinion of these social programs is that they are so abused is makes me sick to my stomach. I know that thinks outside of McCook are different, but just look whats going on in our own little town and others in Nebraska.

First of Brian, it's not the seniors that are the problem. Like I'm making any plans to make social security my retirement. Only an uneducated idiot at my age would bank on any social security money for retirement. The government has too many food stamps and illigitamite babies to pay for by the time I retire, if I ever actually retire.

You have young families and single mothers that get to spend too much money on things they don't need, a lot of times alcohol and drugs. Because they don't make 60K a year they get their medical bills paid by Medicaid and they're on food stamps.

When it appears they may lose their welfare they have another child so they can keep it. The new child by the way is also paid for by Medicaide. If you think I'm assuming any of this your wrong. I know this happens, I'm not going to out anybody. Just from the people I see doing I can imagine there are many more doing it.

I know a guy who guy who works for himself and and is married and has a few kids. Well, he doesn't report all of his income and they use food stamps and who knows what else. I know a single mother who is getting her rent paid, Medicaid, and lord knows what else. Now she has a new boy friend living with her in the how that Uncle Sam is paying for and he's introduced drugs inot the house. They don't mind taking the kids with them on drug runs. I've seen him smoking pot out the window. She only works just enough so she can get all the federal assictance she can.

Now, I pay all of my own health insurance for my family, about $8,000 per year. We don't maturnity coverage either, that's another couple thousand a year. If we want to have another child...well 4 years ago it was about $17,000. I hate to think what it is today.

So yes, I am extrememly disappointed at the way things are going in this country. I think we have lost the American spirit. I can tell you for a fact that if you pay peopole to be poor, you'll have a lot of poor people. That's what welfare is doing. It's training a whole generation of Americans to milk the system. Extort money from those who want to work and get ahead.

Then you have these clowns like Obama. I must say that I am one of the minority of people who just don't see color. I don't care if Barack is black or not. I'd love to see a conservative black president. Barack was a community organizer, to me that was nothing more than a guy who wants to go and help make excuses for poor black people in the hoods. Get federal money for them so they can continue their ways and buy votes in the process.

Now he wants to do the same thing on a national scale. Why can't we inspire people to want more from life. Why can't we try to instill the American spirit to get everyone off welfare and working hard to support their families.

The New Deal has done more to harm this country than to help it. It has provided us with several generations of entitlement mentalities. They think that the US government is here only to take care of us, and now we're looking at the redistribution of wealth on the horizon.

Listen to the radio interviews from when he was a state senator. He is lying in the tall grass waiting to sieze control and when he's teamed up with a liberal controlled senate and congress you're going to see socialism take over. You're going to see censorship in the form of "fairness doctrine."

Anyway Brian, seniors should get social security and Medicare, they paid for it. Should millions upon millions of people my age continue to milk welfare while working 20 hours a week and drinking beer 3 nights a week? I hope there's still some money left for me when I get that age so I can use it for medical expenses, as for my retirement...well AL Gore doesn't think it's a good idea for Americans, but I'm making my own arrangements.

I just can't see how these Obama supporters can sleep at night. Is worth adopting socialism just because you're mad about the war in Iraq and you hate Gearge Bush? Come on, that's all this is. If Joseph Stalin was running for president against John McCain you'd be voting for him!

-- Posted by Justin76 on Tue, Oct 28, 2008, at 8:29 AM

Jim,

It's not a good idea to question the intelligence of other voters when you yourself (and you apparently consider yourself intelligent) don't even use the right verbage or word phrases.

I hate to tell you Jim, but your kind of hate, the hate practiced by those moronic skinheads in Tennessee, is no longer accepted in these United States. Maybe under Obama, we can actually live up to our Constitution and Declaration instead of living in fear of what the other is thinking.

When a McCain worker in Pittsburg trumps up a beating and rape charge against an imaginery black man and goes so far as to carve a B in her own face (backwards mind you) it shows just how far down some in this country will go. What's even more sad is the fact that after McCain attacked Obama for not denouncing a comparison a fellow Senator made, McCain has yet to say a word about this pathetic woman and what's more hasn't fired the head of his campaign staff in Pennsylvania who advanced the story.

But on Wednesday, if Obama does win, go ahead and fly your flag at half mast. I imagine you'll be very lonely doing it. Your assertion is crack pot, as bad as Alec Baldwin saying in 2004 that if Bush won he would leave the country. This is the President of the United States. Bottom line is he isn't going to do anything that directly affects you and yet you act as if the end of the world is coming. I don't know whether to pity you or just ignore you. I think I'll choose the latter.

-- Posted by ekimsitruc on Tue, Oct 28, 2008, at 1:31 PM

I can't say that I can relate to Jim's thinking but Mike, you counter these points by saying that nothing Barack does as president will actually affect us. On the other hand here you are dancing around the wreckage and flames of the McCain campaign like a howler monkey and singing "ding the witch is dead," or so you think.

Why are you then so excited to elect a socialist- welfare hungry, poor community organizer that you'll believe everything he says without any proof or past examples or body of work for us to view and help us make our decision....if the president isn't going to directly change anything that will affect us?

Aren't you guys the ones saying he's the next Jesus Christ, while painting pitures of him that's about 99.9% a dipiction of Christ?

It seems to me that you think he's going to change a whole hell of a lot or you wouldn't be chugging the blue Kool-Aid so hard you're getting drunk.

And what about the guys that shot up some one's house because of the McCain sign in his lawn? If some crazy kid you teach someday goes off and does something extremely stupid and illegal and does it in your name because you were their fav teacher...are you accountable? That's what you're saying here.

There are a lot more crazy people in the world today than there used to be. Jahn McCain and any other person running for office can't be to blame for their assinine actions.

Maybe you should use your forum to line out the changes Barack Obama is going to make on the tax system in detail and how it either affects you and me, or doesn't.

Explain in detail what he is going to do with the current welfare system, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and other programs as well.

I bet you can't becasue he's not even sure what he's doing, he's lying to us about what he's really going to do because it's not really what the majority of American want, they just don't want Bush....well we know that already.

Please do this...I challenge you to lay it out for me to understand it and what the YOU think the effect will be on us here in McCook, Nebraska, Arkansas, Midwest, Blue-collars.

I challenge you.

-- Posted by Justin76 on Tue, Oct 28, 2008, at 2:54 PM

Brian,

You are right I haven't been to Denver lately, several years in fact, so I can only judge by what I am seeing and hearing in NW New Mexico. My sympathies for the plight of your family members, but my point of the manufactured crisis was that the people who are currently trying to save us are the very people who created the problem. All the while, they are using it as a wedge to drive people apart. They should be focused on prosecuting the people who caused it. Not hearing much of that talk going around. Why not, because we are busy ripping each other over the partisan tripe we being fed each day by the media instead of demanding our elected officials track down and punish the people responsible. Bread and circuses.

Your family members happened to be the ones at ground zero of the impact from these actions. Most people outside of the industries your family are involved in have seen little of the down turn. The value of my 401K dropped but I won't lose money unless I sell, the market will come back. The economy here is strong and there are many good paying jobs, oilfield jobs, but good paying jobs available.

I enjoy your writing of your farm and hope that someday I might be able to do the same, though this has set me back a bit on my timeline.

-- Posted by jawalker61 on Tue, Oct 28, 2008, at 5:15 PM

Mike, breaking news......You don't rent any space in my head.

So you don't think anything Hussien Obama does will directly affect me? Hummm, you're a teacher right? That's a scary thought but I'll jump over that. If barack Hussein Obama does get elected (heaven forbid) he will be the one appointing Supreme Court Justices. S.C.J. are the ones who will be in charge of interpreting laws the way they see fit. By now you should know my interests are firearms. I'll use that example for your entertainment whether you're sick of hearing it or not. All B.Hussein O. has to do is appoint a judge that he knows is anti-gun and what have you got? That's right, nothing B.H.O. does directly will affect me, but everything he sets in motion will.

Sorry if my verbage and word phrases annoy you, I only gots a high skool ejumacation.

Once upon a time, long, long ago, a nation came into being, the likes of which had never been seen, or considered, throughout the historical existence of mankind. The founders, prayerfully, called it the United States of America, One Nation (under God presumed), indivisible, where Freedom and Equality would rein, forever. Their dream actually held together until the year a 'Deal' with Satan was made, and it was called: 'New.'

Until then, the nation had endured up's and down's, good years, and bad years, but, somehow, by wrapping their citizenship within their Christian faith, differences were always set aside when that beloved nation was in pain and needed the people to fix the hurt. Proudly and sacrificially, the citizens rallied to the 'flag.'

Alas, that day seems but a dream, today. We, the nation, stand at the threshold of fiscal, and social, collapse. A few people, in corporate power, by grabbing as much booty as possible before their empire collapses, due to their greed and mismanagement, make probable, without Divine rescue, America may lose ownership of itself.

'Sink or swim,' they cry. 'I have mine, too bad about the majority.' They don't know it yet, but those thieves have placed themselves in jeopardy. Those without having, will not look kindly upon them that have stolen America's future.

If you are still reading, perhaps you will now understand, what has happened recently we can not stop, but that which is about to take place, we can, by voting, and standing together. Yes, even if Senator Obama is elected.

We will suffer some, or much, depending on who does get the job of President. You all, in your wisdom, decide the best choice in your heart. Win, loose, or draw, however, regain, please, your ability to respect another person who differs in opinion. Again, right, or wrong, we all will live with the majority vote, for the next four years, or much longer.

End of lecture. Sorry. Voice opinions. Vote your heart. Oh, yes, and above all else: P R A Y !

Our Christianity has almost been completely outlawed from how our government works, and we, therefore have forsaken God's blessing on this nation. We must get back to what our Founding Fathers envisioned.

In Christ, consider our present path. Arley Steinhour

Mike... The reason for tax cuts for the "rich" is very simple... I have never had a job from a poor person. Jobs aren't created because someone is unemployed, rather they are created because there is a need for work to be done. By hampering their ability to invest in the business, how can more jobs be created? If the Business owners are not rewarded for their hard work by being able to keep what they earn... while others get their free money will the business owners really work hard to benefit others?

-- Posted by proudconservative on Tue, Oct 28, 2008, at 10:29 PM

forget it proud, they don't understand and never will. If they actually studies the history they preach about it would point economic woes during McGovern and Carter. It took Reagan to pull us out of it. If they actually learned from history they'd know..

The problem is too many year we have been a welfare state because of the New Deal and Mike has grown up with this kind of mentallity being taught to him. He don't even believe in such a thing as a person can actually go out inot the world, have success and then reap the reward.

They think that businesses should be controled by government so that no one can get too rich, that thwy can't leave to poor out in the cold.

Well, now we have so many people that think the government is here to take care of us and I'm afraid this country is lost.

We are too far removed from the original Constution that many people don't know what it is or what it was intended for.

Mike Hendricks and Obama believe that it was written the infor the people how the government should function and take care of its citizens when actually it was created to set limits and control over government to ensure that the United States of America did not become the very opressixe government they were fighting again across the pond.

To see that Mike is a history teacher tells you a lot about the public education system as a whole. It's a disrace that we can allow people to teach such hollow truth to our children.

This is why Obama will probably will. People that know their actuall history are now in the minority. I feel it will take the great depression of 2010 under BO to get everybody back on the same page.

Fight for the Constitution, as it is the supreme document that has made this country what it is. After Obama is done with it, I'm afraid it won't worth wipping you ars with it.

Welcome to the USSA. The United Social States of America!

Talk about the wheels on the bus falling off... The Obama middle class tax cut income break keeps getting diminished... first it was $250,000 from Obama, next Obama claimed it was $200,000. Now a few days later Biden brought it down to $150,000. And finally Govenor Richardson who was stumping for Obama brought it down even further to $120,000. Half of the amount that they started with and THIS ALL HAPPENED WITHIN A WEEK!.

Obama also has a problem with lowering expectations from his constituants...

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/31/...

It sounds like Obama has been saying anything to get elected and now reality has begun to step in that he cannot keep all of his promises.

-- Posted by proudconservative on Sat, Nov 1, 2008, at 8:48 AM

Yeah proud, talk about say anything to win. It's no different than lying. All I see is another president like Clinton, who'll have to run all possible decisions by a focus group to see which decision he should make. That's all these can do now and and that's all they'll do as pres and VP.

At least we're all finding out now. I wonder what the two clowns will do when they have to wing it without a teleprompter like a 9/11 type disaster.

Luckily we won't have to find out as, "the wheels of the bus are coming off the Obama campaign." I guess people really don't think that a Hugo Chavez dynamic duo will be good for our country!

-- Posted by Justin76 on Sat, Nov 1, 2008, at 1:49 PM

Hey Mike, we're all waiting for you to outline in detail exactly what Barack Obama is going to do to change the world and help us all make money. Remember the challenge I sent your way?

Oh wait, I bet it's real hard since the "Liberal messiah" has been changing his plans on virtually a daily basis in the last week. Must be fishing the polls for something that sticks. What a bunch a chickens.

Pretty soon, instead of this tax "rebate" I'll get (after not paying any federal income taxes mind you) will turn into me getting taxed as they keep changing who'll get taxed and who won't. What a bunch of dunces. Did they go to your school? They sure didn't go to our schools.

I predict a McCain win as I think people are starting to figure out this was nothing more than a welfare mission to take money from those who earn it and give it to those who DON'T DESERVE IT.

I also think these polls, wait, I know these polls are more wishful thinking than they are fact. People want change more than ever, but we're tired of being lied to and getting promised thaings that you cannot promise. Thanks for the memories Barack! We almost bit on your carrot. To bad Nancy, I guess you can't be the puppet president, maybe you should run yourself instead of propping up a couple of lying windbags to carry out your liberal dirty work!

-- Posted by Justin76 on Sun, Nov 2, 2008, at 9:57 PM

This has got to be the most empty logic I have ever read in my entire life. IF you honestly think that the ticket of John Sidney McCain and Sarah Louise Heath Palin is better ticket then by all means vote for them.

But for you gentlemen not only talk down to me about my choice and lie about what Barack Obama stands for offer no facts to back yourself up and then just get absolutely nasty with your attacks on me or anyone who supports Obama is just sad. To even go farther and question our intelligence simple because you don't like the man is pathetic.

This is America the last time I checked and we are still allowed to vote the way we see fit. But I get the feeling that if you guys were in charge you would make it illegal to vote for anyone who was a Democratic candidate.

If you don't like my choice, fine I understand but at least offer facts as to why your choice is better instead of just regurgitating what you have read in an email.

Most things I state are backed up by cited resources. You are allowing your emotions to take control rather than using a logical arguement. We give you arguements as to why Barack is not an ideal candidate in our opinion.

I do not attack you personally, however I will comment on what you say. And most of the time, your statements are wrong and not able to be backed up with verified resources.

I never stated that I thought McCain was my ideal candidate as there are many things that I feel he did not share the same conservative values as myself. However I feel it is easeier to negotiate with someone who starts at the center right than someone who is left of left.

Obama, in my opinion, does not respect the constitution and is the reason I did not vote for him. It is not a matter of race, but rather a matter of ideals.

As a teacher, would you give all your students the same grade because a student didn't do as well as the star pupil? Is that fair, NO. The student that gets the better grade will stop trying because they know their extra effort will go unrewarded. It is the same with wealth redistribution. Will the wealthy continue to do what they did to produce the wealth if they know they cannot keep it?

As Ben Franklin said, "The Constitution only guarantees the American people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself."

Franklin, of course, also believed that the Constitution could only last as long as the people themselves could sustain it:

"In these sentiments, sir, I agree to this Constitution with all its faults; if they are such; because I think a general government necessary for us, and there is no form of government but what may be a blessing to the people if well administered; and I believe, further, that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government, being incapable of any other."

Thus the point at which we are at. Have we forgotten why this country was founded? Men died for this country for far less taxes then are being paid by us now. The Boston Tea Party happened over a 3% tax... and now some pay over 25%.

As a history teacher, you of all people should appreciate what the founding father did to create this great country.

As a history teacher I do appreciate what the founding fathers did in crafting the Constitution. As a citizen I have been totally outraged at how the Bush Administration has tried to tear it apart. As a voter I cast my vote for the man I believe can restore the Constitution to it's glory, as did a majority of the people who voted last night.

I believe my choice to be right. I could be wrong, but as an American it is my hope that we can all come around Obama and get this country right.

OMG Mike, you are going to make this harder than I though, supporting Obama that is. You think we get our ideas from these kooky e-mails? What an insult to my intelligence. All I did was offer you a challenge to outline what it was exactly that Obama was going to change and all you could do was insult us.

Let me make it clear to you my friend. If we are going to try to meet in the middle then you guys on the left are going to have to drop this crap like,

"But for you gentlemen not only talk down to me about my choice and lie about what Barack Obama stands for offer no facts to back yourself up and then just get absolutely nasty with your attacks on me or anyone who supports Obama is just sad. To even go farther and question our intelligence simple because you don't like the man is pathetic.

This is America the last time I checked and we are still allowed to vote the way we see fit. But I get the feeling that if you guys were in charge you would make it illegal to vote for anyone who was a Democratic candidate."

That is a buch of crap. Why are you so full of hate? You know what, we WERE in charge and you still got to vote! So quit whinning and get real. This is why it's hard to listen to you guys, you sound like a bunch of kooks. So does Jim, and he's on my side by default of our political association, which I am not ahppy about.

Do you see what I mean? WHy do we do this? All I asked was that you explain something and you just fly off the handle and accuse me of trampling your rights. All I was trying to do was ask you to think if you were voting for something you understood and agreed with or if you were just voting AGAINST THE EVIL MASTERMIND and HITLER CLONE, GEORGE BUSH!

That's because the way you libs have disparaged him and thrown him under the bus, it often appeared that you guys would vote for Darth Vader over a republican, just because you hate Bush so, so bad!

That's all I think proud wanted and that's all I wanted. I know we all want the same thing. We want our country to be strong and proud again. We all want it to happen in different ways, but we all want the same thing.

Mike, I'm not by any means rich. Obama can't raise my taxes because I don't pay any. I don't make enough money. I do work hard, all the time. I am out working to support my family 7 days a week, and while I'm out doing that I see people that I know are on a free ride and they're working hard to stay to stay on that free ride, and it chaps my ass, big time!

I pay a lot for health ins. If it were cheaper, I probably wouln't be in so much debt, but it makes me proud that I can work hard and take care of my family without someone else's help.

I just want to see this country turn into a "what can you so for your country, not what can your country do for you," country. I'm guessing you do to.

So, the election is over. We are going to stand with you and Obama and try to make this country great again and try to weed out the kooks like Jim. So lets can the trash talk and stop making rediculous accusations toward each other or this is never going to work.

I know I said awhile back that we would have words if Barack was elected and I was goin to critisize every wrong move he made, just like the libs have done to Bush all along the way.

But I was inspired the other night by John McCain. I do believe he was sincere that we stand behind Obama and try to work the kinks out of this country.

I hope you read the article I posted to Brian Hoags blog 2day. I think the author is right. It's a disgrace what we've done to the president and the presidency, and I guess politics overall. We have become a laughing stock because of our own petty differences. We have turned to slander and worse. We have compaired Bush to Hitler...come on. Have we really sunk this low. Let's get back up dust ourselves off and once again become the envy of the world.

What do you think?

A kook huh? Well we'll just see what happens in the future under the Obama drama and see who the kook is.....

You nerd.
