College Football is HerePosted Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 10:19 AM
Today starts in earnest the college football season and I couldn't be more than ready. For this one blog politics is out. I respectfully ask you to please keep it out of the comments as well. Everywhere around this great country people are gearing up to watch the greatest sport in the world. College football is better than any basketball sport, and baseball sport, and definately better than the NFL. The rivalries, the fans, what could be better.
Most teams are starting out with cupcakes. The Huskers start out with Western Michigan. The Sooners (my favorite team) start out with Chattanooga. The Razorbacks (from Arkansas who anyone who knows my dad he is a huge fan of the Hogs) start their new era with Bobbi Petrino) start out with Western Illinois. If any of these three teams lose today it's going to be a very bad season. But it can happen just ask Michigan fans what happened last year. There are some very good games coming this week. We've got Alabama against Clemson this should be a very good game and could show where Alabama is at in it's second season under their coach. Missouri against Illinois should be an awesome game and could come down to the last possession. Illinois is wanting to show everyone that last season was not a fluke and beating Missouri would be that stepping stone. The big game (in my opinion) this week is Utah against Michigan. Michigan has a new coach, Rich Rodriguez, who left West Virginia to take the reigns. Utah is one of those teams that can beat the big boys, so this should be a very competitive game. Michigan should win, but we will shall see. College football is here and I am planning on laying around and doing nothing more than watching. Congratulations to the Bison for a very decisive victory last night. Looks like it should be another awesome season. Nice come back. But unfortunately on the wrong blog.
Ok! Your biased, bliss and immature. You set yourself up for that one.
