Everybody likes wasting time...

Posted Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at 2:18 PM

Welcome to the Amazing Blog!

I will be using this place to inform you of all things amazing. From the extremely weird to the somewhat trivial. Since this is the very first entry, I will be doing two things to begin with.

First of all, I announce the word of the day, well it may end up being the word of the week or month depending on how I feel, but at this very moment it will be called the word of the day. The word of the day is Defenestrate. What does it mean? I'm sure everyone can go look it up, but I'm interested in guesses. Post your guess in the comments and we'll see who gets the closest. If you happen to know what the word means, please refrain from posting it until after we announce the official meaning.

Second, I bring you the awesomeness of the week. There is a game on the internet that shares many similarities with RISK however the game is short and fast. The other huge benefit is that there are always people online willing to play. No computer players, all human interaction. The game is called KDice and after a quick read of the rules and your first game, you'll get the hang of it.

It is interesting and best of all, FREE!! All you do is just register and get to playing. The game keeps track of your score and points and then you are ranked against everyone else who is playing. Since I just started, I am ranked 3,206th, but a few good friends are ranked much higher after playing for awhile and they are in the top 1,000. You can actually go on and search for users so that you can play against them if they are online. Thus, I release my user id, brokenblade13. So go ahead, register, and search for me. I'll play you in a rousing game of KDice! Also, feel free to post your user id in the comments for everyone to play each other.
